not a QRA as a QRA has two typhones and they are not stopped to remove tags as the tags are removed inside the hanger before they go.plus there is no gap between the two planes ,as they pritty much go off together. i have been there 3 times when real ones have gone off.
@@coningsbylive Tower saying scramble scramble scramble could still be a drill/training like they have done recently intercepting commecial flights for a hijacking as training for example
The Typhoon is carrying Meteor and ASRAAM live missiles with live warheads. Dark red bronze stripe 40% down the ASRAAM body denotes active rocket motor, yellow stipe in front of that denotes active warhead. Similar stripes on the meteor denote the same. Zoom in at 8:34 for the best view of both. Inert rocket motor and warhead would have 2 x blue stripes instead of the yellow and bronze ones
may have said scramble mate, i wasnt there. but i have seen them came out before as i said. you can tell that it wasnt right by the guy takeing off the saftys. he never got into full run towards the plane. slowly walked back to show the pilot so he could count them. all in slow mo.it wasnt a true QRA. @@harrytilbury2453
Two aircraft on QRA to defend all of the UK and Ireland is a bit misleading. In that location yes but across the UK there will be more. Think of it logically if an actual attack was planned, the airforce could be out of commission within an hour. In truth when genuine risks are posed a lot more aircraft will be in the air and fully armed alot quicker than people realise.
God help us if that's the fastest the wheels-up is for a real QRA. Do they have that far to taxi every time. In the 1050sw and 60s there were the 2 QRA planes at the end of the runway in touch with the tower. Meteors and Hunters with cable plugged into that little bump under the tail.
From last weeks stream if I’m not mistaken first time on the channel for a QRA being live streamed
They do a wonderful job

It was a real QRA, from QRA shed. I can't answer why tags were not removed. But was QRA, and tower said scramble scramble scramble.

It seems that the QRA hangar is not positioned optimally for a rapid deployment!
They close to taxi way for runway 25,. I think in old days they had qra sheds. Not sure
If that's the case they ought to do something about it.
@@chriswiseman4375 I'm sure they think it's suits

WW2 pilot would have had a Spitfire in the air in half that time
We're talking totaly different technologies, spitfires didn't have missiles etc

It was QRA.
@@coningsbylive If it was god help us we are all up shit creek.
@@mickcooper8605 they probably had a good idea what was going on, so not so urgent. Belive me it can taxi as speed
