      @@mariacabrera4188 yeah I wish he made longer episodes I noticed the last two or at least 20 minutes.
      I know they say the average person only has an attention span to watch a two or three minute video but I disagree with that I thoroughly enjoy when I find content that's at least half an hour or 45 minutes long

    When I redid a bathroom last year I used Kerdi Board just because it was Covid times and you could get it on Amazon. Very similar product and a year later, we are still loving the result. The builder had tiled directly on the wood framing in the windowsill that was INSIDE THE SHOWER, so needless to say there was a lot of damage to repair. It was really important to me to make sure everything was EXTREMELY waterproof. All of these products are so much easier to work with than cement board.
    Can’t wait to see the tile go up!! Also, can’t believe you can find the time with a newborn. Hope all is well with the little fixer. 😀

    I would wrap the tile onto the end of the wall that the shower head is on. it would give the face of it a nice finished look and make it more water proof. as we all know water dose get out of the shower via steam and a small end piece of dry wall would be more receptible to that moisture were the tile on the end would not.

      Well, to keep with the theme of that ugly-ass 70's linoleum he keeps ripping out, perhaps something so dated that it's actually cool again.
      Friends of mine bought a home 20 years ago that had a powder blue bathroom that dated from around 1975: tiles, tub, sinks, toilet, paint, floor. It was in immaculate condition and was so retro everybody loved it. Of course, when a sink finally broke they had to remodel the entire thing.

      @@beverlyrbev3890 Many people find the use of the same tile throughout a home to be extremely boring. Also, when it comes time to sell all those things you mentioned usually make a home too personalized and buyers start calculating the cost to remove all the trendy stuff and put in something less offensive to their sensibilities. Going understated is usually the best option.

    • @nolongeramused8135
      @nolongeramused8135 3 роки тому

      @@beverlyrbev3890 Everything goes out of style eventually. Chrome gave way to brushed nickel, deep shag carpeting is (thankfully) no longer everywhere, wood paneling is now universally hated, and in a few years all bathroom fixtures and tile will look dated, regardless of how nice they are.
      Looking to replace a fixture and have it match the rest of them in your home, but they're all 10 years old? Good luck with that - odd are pretty good that they stopped manufacturing it 5 years ago.
      Think of appliances: I grew up when they were all avocado green and harvest gold. Then they went stainless steel, black came into fashion for a few years, and now they white is extremely popular again. And let's not forget the most recent trend of all-white kitchens, which everyone soon discovered get dirty too fast if you actually cook.

    According to the manufacturer, it's pronounced "VEE-dee." It's a German company, apparently. (This is according to their UA-cam video titled, "Training: Building a complete bathroom using the wedi system.") So now you have THREE pronunciations to choose from! 😁

      I believe that immediately. 🙂
      I am from Germany and I am highy fascinated by the US way of building and making rooms.
      In Germany you got all kind of prebuilt walls like that Wedi. You just put them together.
      The US way is more like minecraft 😉. You can build any kind of room changing in a very stable solid (and beautiful) way.
      The German way needs one special wall for only one special purpose. It is easier to build, but more expensive and mostly you need an expert for each kind of wall 🙄☹️.

    • @matanadragonlin
      @matanadragonlin 3 роки тому

      The German way of pronoucing would be "Vædy".
