    I thought the treatment this time of year was 3% which is 9 mites per 300 bees. 2% would be 6 mites. You are well under that threshold, but I wasn't sure if you allow a higher threshold? A quick shake of the mite wash container when you get the lid on will dispatch the bees quicker. It appeared they didn't all die immediately in the video. This is really good and timely information thanks so much for putting it out there!

    Hello Hello, on you fall flow do you usually have a good enough of a fall flow to pull some for you or is it just enough for using to build up for your girl’s winter supply. Where I am at here in central NC I can never count on much of a fall flow . Usually there is just enough that I can get a little smell in the air to tell that they found a little golden rod . As always thanks for your video’s an all
    Your topic you cover . THANKS

    You’re at less than 2%. Treatment would be based on your comfort level. My threshold is 1%, so I would treat at 4:300. I’ve heard 3% (9:300) as a treatment level. 15 mites would be 5%, and that would give me a stomach ache not to treat!

    • @CentralBeekeepersSupply
      @CentralBeekeepersSupply  9 місяців тому +1

      Sometimes Hopguard 3, sometimes Apivar, sometimes Oxalic Acid. If you go to our channel you can search for "mites" and you'll find our methods for treatment. Thanks for watching!
