Thank you for your reactions to Home Free. For me Austin is a true storyteller and conveys songs so that everyone can understand - and feel - what he is singing about. I love when Austin feels a song to the core because then it becomes an incredible story .Home Free is a whole chapter by itself Please listen to Helplessly Hoping too ☺
Such fantastic vocals!!! ❤🔥❤ Home Free is on another level! 💯 I am sure you have been suggested this before, but Austin does a mesmerizing version of Bring Him Home from Les Mis as well. 🥰 There are two versions on YT one live with the band and one just him in his home. Happy Reacting Will! 🥰
Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. I think it is also better than Michael Bolton's version. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.
This was done during the lockdowns with each of the other four recording their parts in their little home closet studios. Austin was in a real studio alone singing to his girlfriend. The fact that they weren't able to practice this together makes this performance even more incredible in my opinion. Shout out to Darren Rust their amazing producer whose hard work allowed them to keep recording despite the world being upside down.
This was done during the pandemic, that is why everyone but Austin was on a screen. Austin was in the studio with his girlfriend, the sexy eyes were made for her, while she was watching him😮 great reaction 🎉 I love Home Free😊
Though it's worth remembering that Amberly has pointed out that she hears songs being learned and rehearsed and rehearsed at home for hours a day, so they've lost most of their effect when they're performed or recorded
Thank You for your wonderful comments !!! And Yes, as one of the Huge Home Free fans, know as Home Fries. We do get it and we are so thank ful that these truly talented 5 guys are together and singing for us.
To watch 5 men who love what they are doing, and each other as well, is magical. To have all 5 of them have extraordinary talent is beyond magical. Even their solemn songs, like Brothers in Arms are binge-worthy because of the talents. Rob's pure tenor, Chance and Tim's bass abilities, Adam, aside from his world class beatboxing (what a touch - never too little or too much) has a lovely tenor voice (said to be between Rob and Austin's ranges) which we hear far too rarely. And, as far as we can tell, no egos - whoever is the best fit for a song is who takes it. Their harmonies take full advantage of their abilities, their video producers are among the finest, and it really doesn't hurt that they are all easy to look at! The Home Fries love Home Free, their music, and their joy. Any one who takes so much joy in something that requires so much work and sacrifice - how can you NOT appreciate that?
Home Free kept up their music video releases all during the pandemic, so they came up with all kinds of ideas for filming from their homes. For a different lead, how about I Can’t Outrun You. Adam Chance leads, and directed the video as well.
William, your monologue at the end of this song is PRECISELY the way I feel about this group! They are SUCH a singing talent. I listen to them everyday and after two and half years, they’re still my favorite group. I think you’re going to love the other members just as much, the more you explore them. Going to see Home Free live in concert in my home town of Lubbock, TX next month! I just can’t wait. 😊
It was a monologue!! But I really would love to do an interview with Austin one of these days. I’m so pleased you’re going to see them live on stage. ❤️
Austin does interviews with music reactors quiet often. Home Free appreciates the reactors and respects them. Contact him. He is very low key and makes himself accessible. He's humble, well spoken and does great interviews.
Absolutely agree with you, this is brilliant. Austin has a fantastic voice and the background music is perfect. Every note is absolutely clear and clean. Just close your eyes and enjoy - WOW!
Thanks for the great reaction. I love these guys and have been to four concerts already and want to go more. They are such great positive men who are great talents and it is a blessing that they share it with the world.
We are extremely loyal Home Fries. Austin is always singing. I had spoken with his girlfriend at one of the concerts. She said when he is on tour and she is home alone,it's so quiet because he is always singing. She goes as much as she can,but can't always go. The whole group is amazingly talented. They love each other like brothers. They don't see themselves ever not doing this. And yes,Adam, the freak of nature, does all the percussion. To top it all off, there are no egos in the group, and the nicest, sweetest young men you could ever meet. Despite being busy, they keep in contact with their fans on social media. If you ever watch a Behind The Scenes episode, you can see what goofballs they are. Thank you for reactions. It's great to find a reactor who appreciates the talent and hard work that goes into the Home Free magic.
Yes, we understand it, and we look around and wonder how other people can not see it. It's mind boggling. Another great song to react to would be Thinking Out Loud / Let's Get It On. It's an Austin and a Tim lead, but you also get to hear Austin sing a bit in his lower register
I told you...he nails it. I give credit where it is due! I think he has an awesome voice. I usually prefer him as an exclamation point on songs more than being the lead but there are times when as the lead he is absolutely the best choice. This is definitely an Austin song! I prefer this version to the Percy version.
The thing that blows my mind about this is Austin had to be talked into doing it. We probably wouldn't have this if it weren't for the lockdown and them stepping up their video production and, thus, going over everyone's wishlist to find songs to do. They really did a lot of unexpected and diverse stuff during the lockdown, like the Sea Shanty Medley and Sunday Best -- things outside their usual genres -- one of the few blessings to come from a terrible tragedy.
This is my favorite performance by Austin. His voice is so beautiful and magical in this song. I still get goosebumps when he performs this one and I have probably heard this at least 100 or more times. They say that Tim was the one who encouraged Austin to try it. So glad he succeeded. The back up vocals by the boys and Adam's percussions were the driving force behind this masterpiece. You should listen to Austin do Bring Him Home on his personal channel. Just as magnificent. Another standout of the group for me is Chance. His leads on I Can't Out Run You and If I Could Only Fly are magnificent. Thanks for your love of HomeFree and another great reaction 🥰✌❤
Exactly! You perfectly described why I’m an AustinFry. I, too love the way Austin loves to sing. If you were ever to see him & HF live, Austin NEVER stops smiling, & dancing when he’s singing in his beautiful voice that’s even higher live. Thank you so very much I appreciate your reaction and analysis. Please 🙏 one more of Austin (on his page) a different side of his voice. “BRING HIM HOME” from Les Miserables Please check it out & analyze 😊
Yes, Austin nailed it. He gives himself completely here and also plays very well with the cameras. The great harmonies, deep bass and the unbelievably freaking good beatboxing/vocal percussion/vocal sounds finish it all off for me. I think it sounds perfect because of all the different beautiful voices. I grew up performing Percy Sledge which I already loved. Then came Michael Bolton's performance where I couldn't say it was better . But this one from Home Free certainly is.
It’s so good. This was during Covid so they weren’t even together. I thought the use of tv’s was clever. Austin and Adam (beatboxer) killed it. Just so good. Yes, I’m not even into country and they’re so good…I love everything they do. Good reaction BVC! 😄
Somehow I had missed this performance by Home Free. Thank you for highlighting it. These guys know their stuff. Each one has an amazing voice, even Adam Rupp the incredible beatboxer - he has a very pleasant tenor voice and sometimes also sings with the group. And yes, they deserve to be recognised and appreciated.
Great reaction! What a wonderful voice Austin has! I love that these gentlemen can choose the perfect voice for each song they do and whether it’s a single lead or shared they always sound amazing.
Thank you so much William! Stellar performance! Love your reactions! I 2nd the earlier suggestion of Austin singing "BRING HIM HOME" from his personal channel. Sending love from South Georgia, USA! ♥️😃🍟
Been enjoying your reactions now for awhile, decided it was time to subscribe. Love your reactions, and think you will be doing more HF and they're my favorite. Been a Home Fry now for 6 years. I think you should react to their collaboration with Don McClean doing his original song American Pie on it's 50th anniversary. There you will hear all the guys take a verse, except Adam Rupp, he does the beatboxing throughout the song. It is a long one, over 8 minutes, but well worth the listen. Don still sounds fantastic!!! Take care and Happy New Year!!
When I first heard this song was going to be covered by HOME FREE, I knew it was going to be my favorite version. Everytime Austin looks into the camera, I smile and wink lol
Not sure anyone else mentioned it, but this was taped during quarantine, Austin was the only one of the five in the studio, that's the reason for the TV screens. This is such an amazing rendition, I had to look up the Percy Sledge version because I wanted to hear the original, but I was around when the Michael Bolton cover came out, & I thought Michael's was the best, of course that was until I heard Austin & Home Free, in my opinion they blew both of the other two out of the water. As always I love to hear your analysis William, Thanks for another awesome reaction!! 🍟❤️
This song was made for Austin. Love the harmonies and bass.💗 You really need to check out their latest Delta Dawn featuring Brooke Eden. It's so amazing.
Loved your reaction. You were spot on. Austin Brown is a beautiful musician. This was done during Covid-19. HF did many songs during that time. Austin does do interviews, there are some on his channel. Thank you so much for your kind words regarding HF. 🎼❄️🎵🦋🎶♥️
As I understand it, the crew on tv screens was their inventive way of dealing with Covid lockdown restrictions. I watched a behind-the-scenes video of them recording an album over a week's time in the studio and the work and tweaking that went into getting it perfect was eye-opening. They really do work VERY hard to get it perfect. I thought it was mostly just talent, and there's a lot of that, but there's also a surprising amount of work that goes into perfecting each song.
This is so amazing - and I don't even like this song. Never have. But they killed it. Yes, all of the percussion was Adam at his usual fabulous self. The backing harmonies were perfect. And Austin was just out there singing in the stratosphere. Not to mention the tech guy and the producer who put this together from individual performances during lockdown. And they all enjoy singing so much. And you can tell because they are almost always smiling. You should check out one of their goofier videos, maybe Brother. And I can't wait to see your reaction to Austin's solo performance of Bring Him Home.
REALLY enjoying your reactions! Agree with everything you said. They are even more fun in person. I've seen HF 3 times and Tim, Austin and Friends twice and just want to see them more. Genuinely great guys as well as incredibly talented. Happy New Year to you and all my fellow Home Fries!
Thanks for another perceptive reaction. You're quite right about the truth and honesty of Home Free's work, and the relationship between them and their fans is amazing. They don't allow anything to stand in the way of giving the audience at live shows the best experience, even though life on the road is, I think, losing its charm and they must be tired at times. When Austin broke up with his previous gf, he was in a dreadful state, couldn't stop crying, but the audiences at the time never would have guessed. HF love what they do but they know what is due to the people who support them. What they'll do next year, when they cut down the number of shows still further, will be interesting to watch. This is the song that for a wider public confirmed that Austin was no longer the boy wonder but the power tenor he'd always wanted to be. But given that only Austin was in the studio, with everyone else recording in their homes on the equipment they had installed, it's also a tribute to their producer, Darren Rust, for the perfect balance, and the designer and director for the cool concept and lighting. Strangely the band have never AFAIK done this one live.
If you want to see their silly side...they do a cover of Working for a Living with Chance (the baritone) taking the lead but everyone shines and there is another visit by the no-monica
Thank you so much for the wonderful Home Free reaction, it is so appreciated. Austin is my favorite voice of a group of amazing singers! I am really enjoying the small glimpses into Thailand you are providing as well, it looks like such a beautiful country. Happy New Year! 🤗❤️
I think Austin was born flirting. And he is expert at flirting with the camera. Never met a camera he didn't adore. Not a negative criticism of him. I just love him and his glorious voice.
I am subbing because i love the way you react to my favorite band. Home Free always brings a great feeling and you always appreciate and respect what what they do. Keep the Home Free coming!
This is my favorite performance by Austin with Home Free. But my absolute favorite Austin performance is his solo Version of Bring Him Home. I would love to see your reaction to that. Please do it.
Recent subscriber and long-time Home Fry her. Very much enjoy your videos. I know almost nothing about the technical side of singing, though I am starting to learn some from you. But, I do know hard work and talent when I see/hear it. Yes. They are unique as a Country acapella group, However, they are rooted in the country gospel sound of the early 1940s. Four-member gospel groups toured endlessly around the U.S. for decades. This brings me to Home Free's immediate predecessors, the Oak Rudge Boys. That group literally started in the 40s as the "Oak Ridge Quartet". They later became the "Oak Ridge Boys" with several member changes along the way. In the early 70s, the group's membership solidified into the modern line-up. That line-up has been performing and touring ever since. They switched to secular music and quickly broke into the Billboard Country charts in the mid-70s and stayed on the charts for decades, including crossing over onto the Pop and Adult Contemporary charts. Home Free did a cover of the Oaks' biggest hit, "Elvira" and featured the Oaks on it. Both groups even performed that song at the Grand Ol' Opry several times since. So, I think it would make for a good analysis video if you took a look at "Elvira" by Home Free featuring the Oak Ridge Boys.
Loved your reaction...all 4 guys on the TV screens were at their own homes...recording with the help of their wives! Austin and his girlfriend Amberly were the only ones actually in the studio! I just subbed for more HF! You need to check out their American Pie video featuring Don McLean!
Home Free are wonderful and it takes a lot of conviction keeping together, balancing their home live and keeping the fans engaged & happy. Three times now singing along but the nose wrinkle doesn't work well for me....I must be concentrating so hard on the wrinkle I stop singing!! Like learning to play two handed on the piano again. Thank you for lovely analysis Will
The TV screens were because of the Covid lockdown. Another Austin "power ballad" is a solo version of "Unchained Melody at Tim's 6th Birthday Bash" - just incredible. He's also a song writer and pianist (his originals include "Love Me Like That" and on his channel "If I Met You Now"). Fall down the Home Free rabbit hole - it's a fun trip!
Just found your reactions and they are great! Have been following our guys Home Free since they won The Sing Off so many years ago now. Have been to 7 live shows and cannot wait for the next one! Have you had a chance to listen to any of Austin's solo work on his UA-cam channel? I have some favorites, his doing Les Mis Bring Him Home using his classical training. I've seen some grown men cry! Or Tears in Heaven! Wow. Home Free does an incredible job on another classic of Unchained Melody (Austin did it first a couple years ago as a solo first) -- but of course, anything they do we love! I enjoy seeing the land around you there and your home in Thailand. Very interesting! Thanks for sharing. Take care.
For a song with tim (bass) and baritone (chance) lead song do cover to dire straits “brothers in arms”. The backround harmonnies accompany those leads beautiful. The song is a masterpiec🌹
@@BangkokVoiceCoach No, in fact after this was released about a year went by without him getting a lead or even anything very interesting to sing. In his early days with the band he was very much the star. The arrival of Adam Chance in 2016 gave the band and their producer another interesting voice to play with, but the power dynamic within the band is kept a secret. On at least one occasion we know that Austin gave up a lead because he felt someone else could do it better.
Love this group from the Sing-Off, but where is the other group VoicePlay? You need to have both on this channel along with Tim Foust's and Geoff Castelluccis channels.
Great Reaction! If you ever find the time, the below is a great duet. Peter Hollins and Avi Kaplan Black is the Color ua-cam.com/video/3oc1XuqzyGs/v-deo.html This is a great 17th century Scottish song. Peter a fabulous tenor and Avi a classically trained basso profundo with a 5 octave range make the most beautiful sounds on this recording.
Thank you for your reactions to Home Free. For me Austin is a true storyteller and conveys songs so that everyone can understand - and feel - what he is singing about. I love when Austin feels a song to the core because then it becomes an incredible story .Home Free is a whole chapter by itself

This is one of their Quarantine songs. They released a video every other Friday. Gave us something to look forward to!

@@BangkokVoiceCoach An interview with Austin! Can't wait! I like your monologue, too.
Austin does interviews with music reactors quiet often. Home Free appreciates the reactors and respects them. Contact him. He is very low key and makes himself accessible. He's humble, well spoken and does great interviews.

Incredible voice of Austin Brown ❤️
A great rendition of this song made possible by the fact there is zero ego in this group.

such emotion, talent and videos come together with respect to make upgrades! Austin's lady was off camera which explains his flirting.
That’s funny Glenn 😂😂😂But he’s a professional.
I think Austin was born flirting. And he is expert at flirting with the camera. Never met a camera he didn't adore. Not a negative criticism of him. I just love him and his glorious voice.
@@BangkokVoiceCoach He may be a professional, but SHE was in the studio.
I’m a Home Fry! I love these guys and their effortless excellence. I can only imagine how hard it is to make it look that effortless.❤️🤗🐝
Maybe it just IS effortless. It’s possible. 😳🎶
@@BangkokVoiceCoach I suppose it can be for those as talented as Home Free❤️🤗🐝
Well said !!!!
"Power Ballad At It's Best"....great description. Excellent review.
Thank you for lovely analysis Will
I like the wrinkle 😜
The TV screens were because of the Covid lockdown. Another Austin "power ballad" is a solo version of "Unchained Melody at Tim's 6th Birthday Bash" - just incredible. He's also a song writer and pianist (his originals include "Love Me Like That" and on his channel "If I Met You Now"). Fall down the Home Free rabbit hole - it's a fun trip!
Homefree is my antidepressant
Take care.
Subscribed! Love your analyses of songs and the joy music brings you.
Great song, great reaction! New subscriber.
Great vocal from Austin. 🎶❤️
I hope you check out a Chance lead song soon. He’s really underrated unfortunately but his voice just sooooo emotive! I suggest their cover of “Yours”
For a song with tim (bass) and baritone (chance) lead song do cover to dire straits “brothers in arms”. The backround harmonnies accompany those leads beautiful. The song is a masterpiec🌹
🔥🔥
Your analysis is spot on! Home free fans get it. I wish we could make everybody a home free fan-what a talented group and especially Austin Brown!!
Does Austin always shine out? I’m only just getting to know them. 🎶❤️
@@BangkokVoiceCoach Everybody in this group gets to shine. We just love that.
VoicePlay … mmmm must look.
This was a lock down release, also, Austin’s girlfriend was standing next to the camera.
Down in Hua Hin. I'm shocked at the quality of Thai singers as compared to 45+ years ago.
Classically trained singers?
@@BangkokVoiceCoach I haven't noticed that. Just better vocals overall.
Great Reaction!
If you ever find the time, the below is a great duet.
Peter Hollins and Avi Kaplan
Black is the Color
ua-cam.com/video/3oc1XuqzyGs/v-deo.html
This is a great 17th century Scottish song.
Peter a fabulous tenor and Avi a classically trained basso profundo with a 5 octave range make the most beautiful sounds on this recording.
It is A Capella and all sounds are made by Peter and Avi, who makes those deep rumbles.
