Very sad that newsom's administration, and those before, have miserably failed to prepare for the people by construction of reservoirs and water retention systems that could help replenish precious groundwater reserves. But then again, they are very efficient at passing the buck and public waste.

The new drought monitor ends at 5 a.m. on Tuesday. There has been rain and snow all over the the western states the last 7 days when the new one comes out it should be even more of an improvement 🎉👍 also there's another major storm coming on Tuesday but we won't see the results of that for two weeks on the drought monitor charts in the rainfall Total. It looks like all the western states from the northwest of the Southwest are going to becoming completely out of drought by the time this is over ❄️🌨️ . The show is not over until the fat lady sings 😂

The current status of groundwater is poorly measured. Only 62 wells, out out of the 3.5K wells that are monitored, have been checked in the last 30 days. Of those 42 show normal or above levels and 20 below normal.
310 checked in the last 60 days and 240 show normal or above. 77% After much winter rain.
395 Wells were checked over the last 90 days. 271 were normal or above.
2.9k have been checked over the last 180 days. 1.1K were normal or above. 38% Deep in the drought.
Basic math indicates ground water recovery has already been significant.
But mostly the current status is unchecked as of yet. And we don't know how they decide which well to check when they do.
IMO the narrative of groundwater taking years to recover appears to be a deliberate embellishment.
A journalist should look into this story and give the public a better understanding of the true status of CA groundwater levels.

The climate is always changing, it always has and always will. Science has to rewrite what it thinks it knows all the time. So after the very short time that California has been populated nothing is known about it’s climate over the tens of thousands of years before. We need to realize we are insignificant in the grand scheme.
