Roger Lee Green 1945 - 2024

Roger Lee Green was born May 31, 1945 in Lincoln, Nebraska, and joined his wife Carol in heaven August 2, 2024 in Bedford, Texas. Born to Ernest and Hallie Green, he was the third of four children. In 1950, the family moved to Congo, Africa as missionaries until 1960.
When he returned to the United States, he finished high school and enrolled at the University of Nebraska, Omaha, studying radio broadcasting.
He met Carol Williamson, and they married in 1966 in Morton, Illinois. In 1970, they moved to Omaha, where he completed his degree in 1974. They moved to Lincoln, Nebraska as he started a job engineering radio broadcasts for Back to the Bible. In 1976, they moved again to Southern California, where he started a 36-year career in sales - working for Genesis Marketing Group and IntegriTeam Marketing - selling gifts and books to Christian bookstores in the southwest.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Eldon, wife Carol and daughter Nicole. He is survived by sister-in-law Lois Green, brother Davd (Cindy) Green, sister Patricia (Gary) Cloud; along with daughter Michelle (Bob) Veach, daughter Danielle (Cassidy) Lackey, son Tony (Kimberly) Green and 8 grandchildren: Ash, Nathanael, Riley, Nick, Chase, Avery, Carson and Reese.
All through Roger’s life, he had a passion for helping people - prayer, mission trips, meals were all part of his life. Roger was known for his integrity, a man who dealt honestly with everyone he met. He enjoyed camping, Nebraska or any college football, watching his grandkids in their myriad of activities, and listening to music.
