I’m thinking of swapping my heavy and cumbersome VFR for one of these it’s got all the power I need I reckon. I’m not a mods person but I love the mods you’ve done they look good. Thanks for sharing the video 👍
I really like what you've done with the wheels! Excellent! My mods are as follows: engine and front wheel crash protectors, alarm, bluetooth connectivity module. I'm pretty happy with it, except for the fact that on a hot day, the engine feels like it's going to roast both my legs below knee level to well-done cooking level...
Thank you for the review Robert. Its a nice bike and I am still waiting for it to arrive into Toronto-Canada. They said it would arrive late summer. I will be getting on the bike after 41 years....it would be fun....
Just brought one, second hand only done 600 miles, it's come with heated grips and belly pan but will be ringing triumph soon to price up the quickshifter. Great bike so far.
Same height here, comfort isn’t too bad. On my long commute I could use cruise control but other than that I’m happy. My commute is 85mph for half of it and 60 miles. Have a Unit Garage windscreen on the way. Not a huge fan of how it looks but at these speeds for so many miles it gets harsh.
Nice review I'm going to test ride one of these next week and will be looking at pricing up most of the extras you have. As for the fly screen, I was told by the dealer that's all it is, a "fly" screen, it's to keep those summer flies from collecting behind your clocks, so not surprised it doesn't offer much wind deflection. Anyway, thanks for the review
Grab a bargain . I have traded mine in for a BMW RT with Ryder motorcycles in Sittingbourne Kent. I've been given them all the extra parts. They won't receive my bike unti next Monday but I'm sure it will soon be on their Web site. It's like new and a lovely bike but I can't afford to run both machines 😢 and now I'm part time I'm going to do more touring etc.
The best mod I've made was copied from MOTOBOB where I bought black vinyl and covered the white side of the number plate. It softens the rear hanger and looks miles better. Cost pennies unlike the other OEM mods I've made.
I went to a dealership in Houston, actually a British dealership, they did not have any, and they did not know when they were going to get any more in stock, I was heartbroken lol
I am no fan of bar end mirrors, the grab handles don't look nice. It the first time I see them on a bike and I think I am going to delete them from my order. I was thinking to use them for a bag on the back seat but it's not going to work. I have a 40 liter Givi bag and it's working good on my Yamaha FZ1 Fazer hold on with spinners. Make something myself would be better and less in your eye. So you pointed out that the fly screen is not doing anything, so no need than to spend money on it. Thanks for the review. 😀
Good video thanks for sharing. Where did you get the radiator guard from? Looks good. Does your left indicator button stick? As in you need to press it hard for it to engage.
Got grill from ebay. Terrible postage times. About 3 weeks but was only 60£ and there appears to be more designs now. My indicators are fine. They have different 3 modes if I recall but I personally have not had problems with them.
@@mutleymusic thanks for the info. I think I’ll go to a different dealer and get them to check it out. Much appreciated and looking forward to your future vids.
Interesting. Actually many accessories can be found at a very attractive price through Ebay and even Aliexpress. They will be cheaper than those sold by Triumph and probably as reliable.
Hi, just picked up a 22 plate 2nd hand! Great bike, already got some excellent mods, however the levers are letting it down. I’ve seen several reviews recommending the TEC adjustable ones, however on their website I can’t find any apparently, suitable for trident 660? Can you recall what your part number was, also are they easy enough to fit?? Cheers
OK to fit . I did not find it difficult but I have some experience. Go to an independent bike shop and I suspect they will only charge you 20£ to do it. As for part number I can't recall but if you email them the team are really helpful. They might be out of stock if you can't find them. It is a great bike but have to admit I have now sold mine. Wanted a more touring dedicated machine.
A company called TEC based in the UK for the grommets. They also did the levers and do some other after market accessories. The headstock and mirror caps one can also be found on ebay for a few quid but mine never arrived.
Ebay. Was about 67£ with postage. Postage was slow. Took about 10 days from purchase. You will need a star screw driver head to fit one as the screws are not a standard Phillips type. You might also need to have the arms of an octopus lol but I managed it in about 30 mins on my own.
What problems? Mine have been fine to date on this bike and previously on a Z I had a different set. Were OK for the 2 years I had the bike. They are a light alloy but appear plenty strong enough for normal use.
To much effort 👌 as most of the parts are official triumph accessories. The grill is from ebay and the phone holder is a quad lock which is sold on line or at shows. The dash camera came from Halfords or can be sourced from any next base dealer. The levers are from a UK company called TEC but others are available. Oxford do a nice rear baggage system if you want a cheaper alternative to the official Triumph kit.
Several sellers on Ebay for wheel decals. Type in trident wheel trims or decals or stickers. Make sure you really clean the wheels before application as brake dust and chain oil will make the surface slippery. You will also need to push the bike back n forth if you don't have a lift. It's a pain to do but if done correctly I think it makes a good visual extra.
When applying you have to ensure the wheels are spotless. Very very important or they will slip off. It is possible to do with rolling the bike 🏍 back and forth but a lift would have been easier. Any brake dust or chain oil on the wheel will cause issues with the process. I found these OK to apply if not rushed and enough material is supplied to do both wheels on both sides. If not properly aligned it is possible to peel back and try again at least once , just don't apply pressure until completely happy. It took 1 hour 30 mins.
I would seek advice from your local triumph dealer for that information. I use my bike mostly for twisty B roads in the UK 🇬🇧 where such devices are pointless. I know you can buy aftermarket throttle openers but I don't trust them personally and rarely use cruise control in my car let alone a motorcycle 😀

Just found your channel by chance. Would you be able to do a short demo on the sat nav to see what it's like through the triumph module. I don't think anyone has done a vid on that yet.
Will do if its something you would like if we get some uk sun in July and I'm a day off. I work for emergency services of sorts and having a full day off between that and doing magic 🎩 does not give me much down time.
@@mutleymusic totally understand. I've subbed to your channel if you do ever get the chance. I'm looking at picking up one in the new year so just doing my research on the bike before I commit.
Quick shifter probably best option but Bluetooth module is fairly basic. Firstly you have to download the triumph app. I did it for resale values but the cheaper option would be a quad lock phone holder as the sat navigation is just arrows and symbols. It's decent enough and less cluttered so ideal for bikes. But don't expect maps. You do get voice guidance. You also need a helmet with compatible Bluetooth and of course speakers. My C4 works great. You will have to use the app to connect a few times . I did 1st for music then for navigation I think. It did not work at first until I used the Sat navigation and if by magic when I used my music player on my phone I noticed I could turn the volume up and down and also skip tracks. Sadly that's about all you can do but I think if it got more options and indepth it would be to distracting on a bike. The music track name comes up as well but I have not found a way to change playlists or albums. I just have a playlist of 50 or 60 tunes which I have on a loop tbh. Even without the BT module the bike shows gear indicator, time, service intervals, fuel, mpg, speed, revs, road or wet and dimmer or brighter settings. If you have heated grips it will even show a symbol for those. Fuel warning comes on at about 40 miles left. Telephone wise. It's easier to answer a call using the bike buttons than my helmet and the callers details come on the screen so for that alone I'm glad I bought one. Hope that helps.

Who was the fly screen from ,??, Triumph,??, Nice, I’m getting a 2023 model next week 👍

Any chance to post the link to the website where you got the black caps to cover the screw holes? Cheers

Waiting for mine as well. supposed to be in June but running out of time.
Try laguna in Maidstone Kent. They did have one in the show room. Demand has been popular so I hope you get yours soon.
Did you install the quick shifter yourself or did you have the dealership do it?
Interesting.

I got mine from Evotech. Highly recommended
Hi, what colour are these aluminium belly pans? Matrw grey or shiny grey? I didn’t understand the colours from video :/
Do you have a link for the end mirrors? Nice mods.
Love the bike. Where did you get the windshield?
It's on the options list from triumph. Expensive bit of plastic but it covers up the rear screws of the speedo.
Heard tec have problems with the levers?

Hi can you say where you bought the phone holder from and brake/clutch levers from. Thanks
Direct from a company called Quad Lock. They appear at most good bike shows and will have fitments for most bikes and cars.
Robert. Where did you get the wheel stickers? Loving my bike. Quick shift is a must have.

What about 5"5? Is it low enough for full foot?
Is there a replacement for those red things at the sides of the radiator?
I think the dealers will have different colour ones but wouldn't take a decent spayer very long to have them done anyway you like.
