In my opinion Thoran is the most toxic hero in pvp. There's no reliable counterplay against him and there's always a chance that he will just one-shot entire enemy team. The best solution I was able to find, with my limited resources, was to run Eironn comp with Silvina. She won't kill anyone against a very popular Damian-Hewynn duo, but she will provide a distraction, preventing Thoran from destroying you backline.
@turtlelagzgaming I tested her at +10 weapon and it's JUST enough of a boost to safely dismantle Eironn comps. Use Vala to attack the same target and Vala goes Super Saiyen early and wipes the team.

If i humbly may, i would like to add a couple of tips from my experience on top 20 on a more or less competitive server. -With all due respect, what puzzle was doing against you was a profoundly dumb thing to do, because the last thing you ever want to, is to drive your foe into a corner to a point were he either researches a new defense or pours money into a game to beat you. When you are in an advantage position in relation to your foes, you want to instill in them a sense of complacency, you want to beat them, but not humilliate them. that way theyll remain non-treaths in the long term. Hence the reason why i spread my attacks as much as possible, I only attack them once daily. Sustainable farming is the way to go.
I also spread my attacks out as well, because I feel bad if I attack one person too much. I also noticed that sometimes your foe gets invisible RNG on the 2nd attack, so there is the risk you may lose.
Your thoughts on the infamous cc burst comp composed of Ulmus, Eironn, Alsa, Bryon, Arden? They melt anyone hiding behind Phaestro the first few seconds.
That team sounds pretty good, although I probably would swap Bryon for someone else like Damian or Lily May. Some people bring Bryon to bait an opposing Lily May out of defensive stance, but I think it is just better to bring your own if you have her built.
if your units arent built, take this guide with a grain of salt. if youre not spending as much as your opponent dont expect to get too high in the rankings
I'm f2p and I at least manage to stay in the safe zone of champion tier. It's enough for me. My secret? S+ Dionel, Smokey, koko, damian and antandra. I do swap some of them out for others at times, but it definitely feels like a good counter vs Lily may, if for no other reason than the fact that dionel's true damage spear followed by a couple quick autos can kill her without anyone on dionel's team having to ult.
It is not a question of If you should, because you should, but with limited resources sometimes other heroes take priority. Literally I need to 3* about 4 heroes right now and 5* two of them. With current rewards it takes months to do that...
I got an S+ +10 Shakir and he doesn't seem to be perofming at all against the Thoran + wilder comp. I don't know if it's positioning or what but no team with Shakir seems to work against them for me.
It might have to do with the enemy Thoron positioning. Maybe you can dm me the screenshot of the Thoron wilder comp you are fighting and what team you are bringing against it and I can assist you with adjustments.

This game is f2p friendly but not when fighting for the top 5 spots, listen to turtle and learn because this is incredibly important information for everyone to have
Ooo, I see what you are saying. I think the reason I don't like map 5 it is too symmetrical. There is a top opponent of mine who runs a reinier silvina offensive comp to pick off points from me. Trying my best to make his reinier a "fair" unit.
Thoran linked with Vala = pretty much 70% chance to win. once vala gets that 1st kill, win rate goes up to 90% Eirron comp is pretty much expired once you hit early end game or end game stage. Easy eirron counter is using the anti CC artifact then put vala at the back. Easy backline cleanup and anti cc. focusing on killing eirron is a dumb way to go. Eirron is no threat once you nullify his initial cc via using anti cc artifact. the best way to go is to kill the enemy main support asap, especially if they are using hewynn. Lily may is a double edge sword, shes good as long as shes alive and vala loves to kill her since shes so paper fly vala can kill her with normal attacks.

OMG, so true! Also, I really like that spicy Silvina tech. I have her at p2 ex5, I really need to invest in her a bit especially for Supreme Arena.

I agree 100%. These suggestions are not going to work if say your heroes are missing their ex weapon or if they are paragon 2 vs you supreme+.

I still have problem vs the LM/ scar defense with thoran, what team and artifact suggest i try a lot of comp and only loss points.

I’m running out of heroes to ex10 that need it. I have most meta heroes at ex10+ I’m torn if I should take shakir to ex10 is it worth it now to do so?
Shakir is showing up in more "personal best" dream realm team comps due to an AI change, so I would say he is totally worth it to ex10.

I attack my friends in arena when I have the points to spare. I send the two hamsters at them, haven't won like that yet, but maybe someday.

i think you're not giving map 5 enough credit. Especially since you have Berial and Phraesto built.
