Freeing the front brake and making it work - BSA Bantam recommision

Freeing the front brake and making it work was not quite as bad of a job as i expected it to be.
I think due to the age of the bike and the fact that (as a work collegue says) it is essentially a bicycle with wheels, doing a full brake strip and clean was pretty straight forward!
I recently passed my CBT and need experience before doing my bigger bike test so i am able to do class 1 and 2 MOT tests in the future. I saw this low mileage 1950 D1 Bantam for sale and thought, 'i like the look of that'!

Last weekend at a car Auction in Kings Lyn there were a series of Bantams which all sold for around the 2K mark. So its worth investing a little in the restoration. Best of luck.

I've recently had to rely on my back break, not ideal, as front was locking on. This has given me great direction to sort it out. My job for next weekend. Cheers.

How did the break turn out. My D1 breaks are very bad. I wonder were they always very bad.

I actually sold the bike a few months back before I got to ride it so never got to see have bad they were lol
