For some reason my intrusive thoughts won and my mind turned dark with this 😂 I imagined after he sighed in frustration, realizing Ariel's "stone set" attitude on this situation and that he's lost her, directs his triton towards her. But instead of transmuting a tail into legs, petrifies her in repose to stone(a direct nod to the Copenhagen statue), to forever look on and wait in longing for her prince 😅
one thing i wish they kept, or somehow integrated into the remake was the "now we can walk, now ww can run, now we can stay all day in the sun!" part
I wish they kept Ariel singing cause that would’ve been spectacular.
