I made this last night and cannot believe how incredibly easy it was to make. I absolutely love it how it turned out. I am giving it to my sister in law for Mother's Day. I will be putting photos of my incredible niece in it for her. Thank you for sharing!
Brilliant thank you so much Amanda I haven't made a journal yet but I will give it a go now you have simplified how to start 🌸 cheers from Sydney Australia 🎀
Thank you. What a fast easy way to make something that looks great! I’ve made quite a few of your things and they always turn out so nice. You explain things so we can understand them. Hi 👋🏻 from Texas...
Scrimpingmommy I seem to be drawn to doing journalling, being as I can’t go out, I need to do something with my time, like you, somewhere along the line I lost my Mojo, it’s coming back just needed some inspiration to get me started again. So again thank you for your Tutorial xx
Thanks Amanda, it is nice to be reminded of these quick ones. Some overwhelm me but I love your style. I was only thinking yesterday that I would do a Lockdown journal as part of my memory journals and family research that I am doing for my Granddaughters. xox
Hi Amanda, this is something I am keeping in mind for later- what mind I have left that is ! Easy to follow, great to decorate how you want. Thanks for sharing.
This does look quite easy, I might, when I get back into my craft room have a try at making one,if it turns out ok I might make two lol Take care hon, stay safe xx
Just erased my own comment.😡 I was saying I have no patience anymore since being isolated for2 months now. This is a perfect project in view of my state of mind. Not complicated! Thank you for teaching it. I have never heard of a Lock-Down journal. I should have recorded your laugh a long time ago so that I could be playing it over and over now!😉 Stay safe, he well and here's some germ free hugs. I think of you often.
Hi Amanda. Lovely to see you again, it was a lovely surprise! How easy is this? I'm just going to have to make a mini library of these and get my photos off the computer and into the world to share. Thank you.
I've enjoyed this tutorial. I do have one question. If expanding my journal to say 8 inches wide, does the score measurement for the gussets remain at 4 inches, or do you need to adjust for the wider page? Thank you again for providing such a simple tutorial!!
You would adjust honey basically each 'gusset' is 1/2 " bigger than the next so just take that into your measurements you can have whatever size you like xxx
You would change to score if you widened the pages … basically each gusset is 1/2 " smaller that the one below … so work out how many pages you want the most inner has a gusset of 1/4" work your way up... Whatever the width you want double for front and back and add on the gusset measurement then score accordingly x
