Masters Protoss here. This series embodies everything wrong with PvT. Nothing protoss does to slow down terran has any effect later on. Terran able to out maneuver and snipe protoss tech with poor ability to defend. Disruptors being useless for most of the series, save 1 or two big hits which didn't change much. Widows mines taking out 9 workers despite Heros best attempts to stop it. Amazing Casting, PiG!
What the heck happened in this series? There is no way that Maru should be "bullying" Hero this badly. I think you used the right word. Here are some possibilities: - Something terrible is going on in Hero's life and is seriously distracting him. - He let his little sister play instead of him this series. - Forget about living rent-free, Maru is foreclosing on the property inside Hero's head. In all seriousness, Game 2 was a travesty. Hero was just straight up stubborn. When you are that far ahead in a game, why is it necessary to force an attack like that? Isn't it the other player who must get damage done or lose the game? He knew that Maru was building bio / mine; just counter that with robo units! When you're right, you're right Pig, 3 robo would have been the correct way to finish that game. Or he could have just thrown down some stargates and a fleet beacon and won with a Golden Armada. I don't understand why Hero felt that kind of urgency. At that level of play, once you are that far ahead you don't have to take risks anymore. Just chill, macro, and scout well. Oops, scouting... Hero sometimes had decent map vision, but then when it mattered his scouting is terrible. His crisis management was also rather poor this series. As soon as something unfortunate happened, it was like Hero instantly dropped 300 rating points. He was constantly running into widow mines, he let his disrupters get caught by surprise when they should have been doing the ambushing. Hero's game was a hot mess and it painful even to watch. Great casting as always, though.
Dude, you're talking about Hero here, who's been on a streak (even Pig will confirm this) of throwing games. He either had a poor opening against Maru and couldn't catch up, or had a dominant opening and threw it through silly mistakes. This is the same guy who's notorious for letting in Zergs through his wall because he F2's too much.
On game 2: 3 upgrades up, 50% more efficient in resources lost, 30% more army supply, and the best terran in the world struggles to close a game because of ball.
I guess you missed out all the mistakes he made that Pig pointed out, such as not making enough Observers or having enough Robos. Funny how people complain about WM's being OP, then don't say anything about the Protoss not getting detection.
@@kommisar. And it's funny how people complain about Disruptors then don't say anything about the Terran majorly flubbing the early game. That was the purpose of my comment: to point out that the OP's complaint about Disruptors shows bias. _Both_ players made big mistakes and _both_ players survived seemingly impossible situations due to the Power of Boom, so if the second game is evidence of anything, it's that the two units are on a fairly even footing, but _both_ could probably use a bit of a nerf.
@@irrelevantfish1978 Maru didn't make mistakes as much as Hero just defended against his opening so well. However, Hero made a lot of big mistakes after that, which is why he lost. I don't think they need nerfs.
Thanks Pig! Great Cast!

Maru is only the best player in the world, i dont think its a balancing problem
Widow mines are the most brain dead unit in the game.
Terran in general is the race that is the least punished by mistakes.
reason hero had 6 on gas and 14 on minerals was to make up for the fact he had 2 on gas while cutting probes earlier
I'm a simple man with simple tastes: I see a new PiG's video, and I smash the like button faster than a 14 pool rush

Hero's role in the "GOT" universe would be "Master of Throws".
Big big Boom Boom!!! 20:25
???
Maru or Death! GOAT!
is there any games when protos wins recently?
My man Maru...hope he wins.
who's voice is this?
Wow, protoss is strong. Thank you balance team.

Savagely one sided *welp*
Game two proves Protoss doesn't need upgrades, detection, or robos to make it an even game.
So what fell off the table? 👻
Any zergs other than serral will just chokes and lose
Widow mines. Sigh..
all in 3 base only stalkers +3+3
Terran is disgusting late game with Ghosts neutering Protoss. Game breaking.
Like those Disruptor shots taking out 6-15 supply?
A lot of talks about balls this series lol
Marus Widow mine spam makes the game boring to watch
Oink!
On game 2: 3 upgrades up, 50% more efficient in resources lost, 30% more army supply, and the best terran in the world struggles to close a game because of ball.
Big economic _and_ army supply lead and the best Protoss in the world still loses because of mine.
lmao, did you watch the first half of the game? Ridiculous widow mines. The best 100 resources you will ever spend
