My full liner burple g10 S110V Native Five is absolutely incredible. With really hard use for over eight months, did not need one sharpening just good stropping every few days on a diamond paste on leather. Incredible knife. I sharpened it at 13 degrees using Venev diamond stones on a modified Rixiu fixed edge sharpener. From 240 to 800 with final strop on one micron and then .5 micron. Touch up with one application of 3 micron on leather that is still working great over 8 months later. The other steel I have that acts the same is Rex 45 in a micarta scaled Native 5.

Great review sis. Your probably right about how they’d perform if the edges where identical. That said I bet the 110V does not have as high of an HRC since it’s from Spyderco while the 125V is from Levi.

At high hardness the burr breaks more easily and quickly than at softer hardness. Sharpening a soft steel is a pain in the butt, because the burr don't com off, the burr flips from side to side.

I have the Mannix 2 in S110V. I have not sharpened yet, but am happy to know what grit to use when the time comes. Additionally, nice to hear once again that the "chippyness" of S110V was unfounded for normal use. I am interested as to the angle for sharpening you would recommend for the Mannix 2 in S110V.

When you mentioned that it performed better at 325 grit, did you sharpen at 325 and progress up in grit, or did you keep it at 325? In my sharpening experience, I have always progressed to 1200 grit or higher. Maybe I'll experiment with finishing sharpening at different grit levels and see how I like it.
Also, it's an exciting video topic. I've hesitated to use my s110v Spyderco due to the rumors about chipping. Watching your video makes me feel more comfortable using s110v in the future.
