In Ireland many older homes have two living rooms. The ‘Good Room’ where everything is set out perfect and you’re never allowed in unless there are visitors. We pretend this is how we normally live. And then there’s the smaller living room where you watch TV, chill and be normal. I feel this is the ‘Good Garage’!

The fact that all your tools are new (in my opinion) means you haven't done anything before. I have tools that are like best friends, that have been with me for 10+ years and they would be hanging front and center. Also my stretch of countertop would not be capped by that sliding cabinet, that would be at the opposite end so long pieces of wood and metal could be easily loaded and worked on without any obstruction.

why does everyone think in order for something to be of use it has to be messy and chaotic. My grandpa had a very well put together garage. Everything neat and tidy and I bet he has fixed more things owning and operating a farm than 5 people combined. He was always working. I remember cutting wood with him all the time. He got that way because he was tired of losing tools he needed. By having everything in its place it makes for repairs and maintenance wayy quicker

My dad always had a sort of shallow trench kind of thing, running along the whole length of his work bench, closer to the back wall, than the front, so he could put things like very small screws or springs etc., either in the trench or behind it, so they wouldn’t roll off. Alot of haters in the comments..Nothing wrong with being organized. I put foam in all my boxes and cut out the outline of each individual tool. It might seem a little extra to people, but it is so helpful to know exactly where what you're looking for is, and to know if something is missing when a job is done. There is a weird thought process people have, that unless your tools are covered in grease and thrown all over the place in a disorganized mess, you don't use your tools..

Some of these shorts are more like advertising but fail to link the portable work bench, or the shop system, various tools.
Another thing that might be setting off the audience is the ASMR is more irritating than soothing, and the pace is uncomfortable for the average audience.

😂 dumb comment. I worked in a garage that I was in charge of and completely organized all the tools - they were used daily and I cleaned the area daily. Not all craftspeople are slobs who can’t be bothered to do a little cleaning after themselves
