my lifelong best friend was killed in both a dui and reckless driving accident we were in with her 4 month old baby girl who i’m now raising like i always promised i would. she told our families (who’ve always been like one big family) that’s what she wanted. i became a mom overnight while i was on life support in a coma for 2 months and have had 25+ surgeries in the last 10 months. i wasn’t even expected to make it through the first night in the icu. a baby girl lost her mom, the best mom who loved her more than anything and the most important person in my life, because some idiot decided it was a great idea to drive 200mph. i have no sympathy for reckless drivers, they are so selfish and don’t care about tearing families apart
