Thanks for this. Had one with flashing red light and wouldn't heat up, after being dropped. Disassembled it to the thermal contacts. Fixed those us (they had bent away from the element). Out it back together and working again!
I also hit each contact with a bit of solder too, as those wire grip contacts aren't the best.

Thanks for your great videos! If the GHD Gold S7N261 does everything as it did before (it bleats when plugged in, the power light goes on and off as it's supposed to) except now it does not heat up, what could be the fault?
Hello,thanks for nice videos. My wifi ghd gold just stopped working one day .Won't switch on like death. Fuse and cable checked.What else can I check?

Hi Totally dead means the PCB has failed. You require a replacement PCB with matching elements. I offer this repair to UK customers but you will not be able to get the parts for a DIY repair.

Sorry, but this model is not a DIY repair. Your fault could be broken wires, failed thermal fuse, cracked elements.

Is 540 Ohm correct value for thermistor and 39 Ohm acceptable for thermal fuse. Thanks for the answer.
Every thermistor is slightly different, the reading you have is normal. the element with thermal fuse measures around the figure you have.

Should the plates make a rattle noise when rotating?
Not usually unless you have a very old and worn model. Certainly not on the GHD Gold this video was on.

Apparently the rattling is normal due to switch connection.

питание 3 вольта.
Around 130 micro farads. Voltage across it when active is 3 volts.
