i want helicopters to be a permanent addition to the game. i dont mind them being mixed into normal pvp either, just needs stuff like the ps being increased for balancing. seperate game mode would be fine also, but i want to be able to use them in raids and clan wars too. they could even breathe a bit of life into adventure mode too.
I feel like if they added them into Regular pvp they'd have to make a max weight and armor score limit, balance out the movement advantage with a handicap to durability so that if they are hit it's not just shrugged off, but also give some parts that can redirect homing rockets a couple of times so they're not just dead out of the water
@@faintduch6630 low max weight would be fair higher mobility and able to attack from above but dies in one hit most of the time
A big limit on weight would already be enough for balancing i think. If you're too heavy you logically wouldn't even be able to take off, forcing you to use fewer guns and armor.

This mode staying permanently would be so damn fun, even if they added some more stuff to it, like a different "objective" other than just points from destroying other players. It's really good fun.

If they don't keep the helicopter blades in the game in some manner, they are insane. I really hope that they do, and that you can always build flying cars

Did you ever play online, and play a custom map called box world. Where everyone started in the corner with an oil Derrick, and the rest of the map was just solid walls except the center, where the only ore was. All 4 people shared and fought over it?
As predicted, it’s all scorpions and hurricanes which have now increased in price. Nail guns aren’t bad though.

I once made an armoured bmw proof mini van, I swapped its long range machine guns for an anti infantry gun and put on helicopter thing. Best thing ever
I REALLY hope they decide to keep this mode, or at least make it a monthly returning thing, there's so much potential for different builds and strategies, plus it's nice to just have a new movement option. Ive made a helicopter with the new furia parts and it just looks neat and works... Most of the time,

I think there should be a way to filter matches by having the limit match making with or without the helicopter movement part. So it can be kept as a main part of the game at all times or not.

No it’s not
Believe me it isn’t. The ground has basically no way to fight against the air and the higher in BR you go the more it is noticeable.
And the AA players are either too bad or just don’t exist in the match. So they don’t help whatsoever.
That helicopter looks like you took a hind and strep the rotors of a k50 black shark to the top and the casemate of a strum tiger to the bottom
The best luck I've had in this mode is with Avalanche. Another interesting option is Blockchains. Because it's so hard to aim while flying, they might be the only weapon that is actually better in this mode than in the regular mode.

Never knew about Helicopter before today. Cool.
I built a nomad chopper for this gameplay with a nomad cabin with cannons or rockets ( guided missile or hurricane if you shoot precisely) so a land vehicle will be easy but air target struggles to fly when fighting
most players struggle t fly while fighting XD

I have made such an op build for this. retchers, harpy, seal, shiver, cloak and hot red. I really just target bots and anything else on the ground whenever poss and can rack up 4k points in no time

why did the original setup look like there is a sturmtiger mounted upside down to the bottom of an mi-24.
Could be fun if every match wasn't a sea of hurricane builds locking onto you every five seconds.

you can cram a hadron and king mine reload with the avalanche under 10k, mount the avalanche up front and boom, no recoil
impossible i tried that. just the cabin, and other stuff alone is above 10k

The heli mode needs to not be a temporary brawl, make it a always available game mode but separate from normal pvp. if they make it a once a week thing it will be super lame. I have managed to bring quite a few friends over from war thunder and other game because of it.
Using the stur' tiger tank design is the on crazist design ever in history due to overpower cannon
i mean, helis in the normal match making opens up for anti-air builds. could be pretty neat. and tbh helis appear to be very weak HP wise. so theres that.

I don't have a Tusk anymore but I really wanted to try that with propeller and a bunch of boosters. I'm thinking you could knock other players' propellers off with the Tusk extremely easily.

I'm struggling to stay inbounds so I don't get to actually fight much. Having UP bound to Forward is my problem. Move up and down to push sticks would be awesome. Xbox controller, btw.

I use throttle for up reverse for down and just turn my camera to turn. I'm literally a fighter pilot using the controls on Xbox... The best shots I get are when I go up into the deadzone and come straight down blasting!!! So awesome

it's best to run no movement parts. controls are a bit wonky but it's still super fun

I was a hard-core player for many yrs upon release on ps4. Love the game. Cannot stand the constant changes. Came back after yrs solely because of the choppers. I crave for the old 8 man pvp lobbies with the addition of helicopter rotors. If you can't handle it. Get better.
Hey JBRider, I have a 550 km/h build in exhibition called LoveSmellofNapalm, It has the Cockpit cabin (50% more Booster time) 1 Hurricane, and a ton of boosters and The Chameleon + Atitlan Copilot for an extra Booster time giving Hermes 16% more for a total of 166, You can see rocket coming at you, boost and get out of the way easy, I'm always in the top 3 with just 1 hurricane
Sky battles is a must cmon crossout !!!!
Considering the Avalanche is quite literally the superstructure of a Sturmtiger with its 380mm cannon, im not surprised getting hit by it wrecks your shit XD

Honestly I havnt played cross out much in years, but since this game mode has been out I’ve probably put over 30 hours into the game. That’s probably the combined amount of time I played this game in all of 2022.
Yeah pvp can be rough. Even this game mode was all fun and games in the beginning, but now player choose the easy way and use missiles all day long

Boy how crossout has changed when crossed out first came out I made a jet and it worked so well that I got kicked for fly hacking and eventually banned I did this with thrusters and my engineering knowledge for weight distribution and thrust weight ratio
This is just a deffkopta with kustom mega blasta.
With that helicopter build you should have done it Missle pods make everything easier

I tried the Harpy and Catalina but none really feel satisfying... I need to work on my aim but it's so fun to bomb ground targets! It's rare to get a high score though 😅

My Helicopter has 3 Cricket rocket launchers and is very slim.
This mode used to be extremely fun but now when 80% of builds you meet are homing missiles it destroyed the fun completely. Ill just farm the 1k crackers needed then abandon it amd farm the other mode instead
The only way I've been able to avoid entire teams of homing missile builds is to run right around 3K.
Now I'ma wait for someone to make a modern day attack heli
I feel like if the helicopter blades were halved in terms of mass limit then it would be probably be more balanced in the main game

Man, I hate to be that guy, but... I hate it SO MUCH that there are plenty of people ruining a super-fun, new game mode by using homing missiles or caucs. Like, what's even the point. Disappointed!!!

The missiles are not that bad, considering there's like 5 ways to counter them. The caucases are really really annoying
I agree with Rajz, homing missiles are easy to counter and evade, but more importantly, they feel so good on a helicopter art build, I use 6 pyre and they are a ton of fun to play with.
