I have couple things you can try with your rooster, he sees you as a threat to his rule. You can hobble him so he can't take a full stride, what I like is take a pantyhose and make a tube that slips over him and holds his wings, then carry him around and set him down. Be consistent like a dog, He'll get the message. Striking at him is the response he is expecting. Action , reward
