    Those who are saying this is micro managing have never managed a roofing sales team on salary. If guys are getting a base pay they need to have daily reporting or else they “go missing” and take massive breaks between appointments. It’s unfortunate but people will find a way to drive all over and do nothing if they are making money. Our guys on comission only can basically do what they want and take as much PTO as they want. That’s the difference.

      @@TheRoofStrategist anytime man, huge fan of your work and would love to meet you to train together sometime. I am a trainer and salesperson for our company. Your methods are actually applicable in real life. Rodney Webb is the only other trainer with a real system (some of it) that works.

    Yeah this is massive micromanagement of a sales team. I would leave immediately. If you cant keep your sales team on task without micromanagement it means your base pay sucks and your salesman is just there until they find another job. Also if your micromanaging a salesman then you need a new one.

      That’s the same criticism I usually hear from lazy sales reps.
      It’s a business.

      1. This is no where near as micromanaging as it could be. You still have plenty of freedom.
      2. This is to help teams get better. Yes there will be pain points. Team members should either strive to improve or get out. Don’t complain.

      @bradeggerton lol..this is a relatively new situation and ur talking like uve been running this play for years...stfu...it's the EXACT DEFINITION of micro managing...which if ur sales reps are now w2 employees is fine, and will benifit ur company for sure..but it doesn't mean we have to like the government coming in and making us all give up the 1099 life we are used to..u may be a quick adapter..but this ain't how the sales game is supposed to be..

And it literally is the definition of micro managing...ur just wrapping it up in a bow, making the sales rep do all the accountability steps...

      @@wildcaveman5310 Hey i did get out of my last job when they started this bullshit. gained another 24k a year plus extra comissions.
