From my research on emachine and volantex 400mm warbirds...this volantex has and improved board design with auto take off and low battery alert which emachines do not have..also on new volantex p47 which they fixed its tail heavy issues,so it flys good in advanced mode well now right out of box...watched a tubers review on it no issues. Thanks for sharing..this one is a winner...
I bought this BNF plane a couple of weeks ago to go with my radiomaster and add to my fleet of micro warbirds. Fly just as great. A few things to point out with this new version. There are now 2 hatch openings at the bottom for replacing the motor and receiver board. The motor is held on with 2 screws and a plastic holder. The board has 4 screws. This receiver board has another 2 connectors for DSM and SBUS receivers. I've tested the SBUS and it works!
@@theoztreecrasher2647 I do read the forums occasionally to keep abreast of the latest. But no, I've not contributed anything useful yet. 😁 I do have to take out the guts of the blue P51 to troubleshoot a failing motor, hence I know a little more than needed.
@@theoztreecrasher2647 Thanks for the info. Mine was brand new from factory coreless with the red and blue wires. A very rare failure (1st for me) having flown the other birds countless times. On the 2nd battery flight, the motor started acting up and will intermittently speed up or slow down. 1st suspicion was something to do with lose wires but everything was in order. That led me to remove everything and did some bench tests; was about to place order for a new rx board. It was only when I measure the motor wires for continuity that I knew that 1/3 of the shaft rotation has no connection.

5:13 The Eachine P51 is really just a Volantex product, re-branded. Volantex didn't steal from them, Eachine is usually the company either sourcing their stuff from the same manufacturer as other brands, or copying things. Just like WLToys did with the well known 14401 which is almost a carbon copy of the LC Racing EMB series.
Loving yours and Abbie 's videos I now have the P 51, the Spitfire and now the Fokker Wulfe. They are such fun to fly. Sadly the weather in the UK recently has been too wet - and worse sooo windy recently.

I have a squadron of these 400mm warbirds now (and just three other planes). I love them and have flown well over 100 days with them, and they taught me to fly. So robust, don't take up much room in my house, and they can fly really cool especially on non-windy days if you want a scale look. But I also fly in high winds and hover or even fly backwards but I do keep low and within my field. I have flown well over a minute in expert mode and I know others have too. But for a relaxed flight I tend to fly in a stabilised mode and go into expert for a stunt then back into stabilsed mode. In fact you can go crazy in expert mode then switch back to beginner and the planes saves itself. Looks cool and getting the most out of it. So far I haven't felt the need to buy anything else. Great the tech these days allows for these planes as it is a cool way of getting into the air. Larger birds are cool too but for me these are it. Just waiting for a Hurricane. Video on my YT channel if interested too.
Just bought this plane today. My first RC plane ever! Variable winds and I am having a LOT of fun with it. Taking some getting used to, to keep it in the air as long as you did in this video, but I only attribute that to my inexperienced self. Never EVER flown an RC plane before. So just need some time to learn it better. After only about 20 minutes of flying it, I can already see quite a bit of getting used to it and flying better. With a LOT of room for improvement, that’s for sure!!
Professionals says that the Volantex serie "the Legend" are just bad toys. I consider this little planes simply fantastic (own the BF-109 and the P-39 CobraII). Not easy to land well, but they are good models!
I also have this plane and it flies beautifully, Volantex/Eachine is essentially the same company base so all their products are the same, Volantex being the original main company. The Ailerons on the blue P51 have been shortened slightly compared to the grey red tail and the blue ones front end is more robust, it also has an upgraded protocol if you delve deeper, great video 😊
These plane's are amazing. I have 4 of them now. They all fly a tad bit different but are all fantastic and easy to fly. I too learned to fly on one of these. Also having 3 umx plane's I fly these warbirds much more due to their size and characteristics. Fly them in my yard and get flight time just about every day. If you can fly plane's in a video game you can fly a mini warbird. Would love to see a pylon race with these. Think that would be a blast.

It's an interesting livery on that P-51D...It's a custom paint job that wasn't used in World War 2, but for a P-51D for a privately owned P-51D named "Stang". The stripes, of course would indicate that the plane participated in the D-Day invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944. This year is the 79th anniversary of that world changing event. But that plane doesn't deserve those stripes, since it didn't participate on D-Day. In fact, it wasn't built until 1945, a year after D-Day! Another interesting thing about "Stang" is that it served in the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) from 1951 to 27 December 1957, when it was decommissioned, and sold into private hands.

To the new guys, buy a plane with a front prop. Arrows trekker is great rtf. The aero scout is great but harder to get out of trouble because of the pusher prop in back. Fms has a few to, just make sure you get a ready to fly package. They come with everything. Go get em boys.
Hi RC Sailors, I've been toying with getting on of these for months. After your review, I followed the link, placed an order. Now to sit back and hope it arrives before Summer, here in the UK. Great content you guys, keep them coming. Phil, Canvey Island, UK
I definitely need one of these to replace the one I had fly away today 🤣 my little BF-109 decided to NOPE out on me and headed for the big runway in the sky. I had been buzzing around for about 5 minutes and then I had no control over my Rudder or Ailerons and by the time I thought of Turing off the Remote or just nosing into the ground it was over the treeline and out of sight. We are supposed to get some wind tomorrow so I might go hiking through the woods and see if I can find it. It's not like it's my only one or something, I just don't want to leave something with a LIPO in it out in the woods if I can help it. Dang, that was a long story to say my junk flew away 🤣
We still have yet to fly our sea eagle rtf plane. I’m a bit intimidated by flying. When I was a kid I had one of the cox nitro planes with the string control and first flight I crashed hard. Never flew it again
That's Totes Mcgoats a gnarly little plane bruh! I learned how to fly on the 500mm cub. I'll be in Monticello tomorrow, I live just south of there, probably gonna bring my ROC MB Jeep and drive it on their mini bash mountains. I'll stop by your booth and show you my sweet suspension mods.
My first plane I bought was the volantex p51 750mm after watching your video on it back in 2020.. that plane flies so freaking good! Do you guys still have that plane?
Okay so I have been torture testing this thing for a month and I literally think it’s indestructible… bouncy foam that just won’t break, it’s built like those old air hogs toys.
My whole ownership of this plane has been a torture test, lol. Me and 3 of my friends all learned on my eachine, we all smacked the ground at full speed several times, and I sometimes spin into the ground when practicing.
I've got a bench full of these mini warbirds, don't have a 51 though. The eachine P-47 has been the worst so far, without any modification it flies like an arse heavy brick.
Ditto!,. Hi to Abby your Rock,.. Lucky Man. 15 years ago When I picked up my First RC Plane age 50 years old. Wish these type of Birds were there for me Than.😢. Lucky Noobs go buy an fly these.
Hello Nate, just ordered this P51 Mustang..Beautiful plane. Need to know if I can fly it by using my Spektrum NX8 transmitter? You guys do a great job..God bless your whole family.
@@SeaPancakes1 The transmitter has to support the V761 protocol which is what these planes use. 4in1 module in those transmitters should have that. I got a Radiomaster Zorro transmitter (4in1) EdgeTX and it works.
I bought one, and it's great. The main problem I have is it sometimes goes wonky in the non-expert mode. Like, I'll move the aileron to the right, and it keeps going straight: after several seconds, it decided to respond. Or sometimes vertically, I throttle back to descend and it descends a while, and then decides to go back up. I haven't tried flying it in expert mode except for a few seconds at a time, but I think I'm going to fly in that mode more. It's just too unsettling having the plane take on a mind of its own.
Try rebinding it. That sounds really strange! Almost like something is interfering with the signal 😬 If this is your first mini warbird, don’t let that indicate how amazing these are! Maybe you got a slight lemon? Wish I were there to try yours out and see if I could help problem solve, as well as let you fly mine!! 💯⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors It's weird, right? A friend who has another one of these tiny warbirds (his is Eachine but I think they're all the same underneath) has similar problems with his. I will try rebinding and let you know. I could also try flying somewhere else, although in our area (DC suburbs) we are allowed to fly pretty much only at club fields. Where are you located? (BTW your WordPress site is having problems.)
@@TheRcSaylors Well, I rebound it as you suggested, and now it flies great! At least, in intermediate mode. In expert mode, it's almost impossible to control. That's OK, I feel like it does everything I want in intermediate. We're planning a tiny warbird themed picnic for next Memorial Day!
Did you need to trim it? Mine seems to always want to rocket up when I release the right controller. I have to constantly keep it push forward a little. I tried trimming but not working :(
Are you full throttle when it’s climbing like that? If in flight stabilized (beginner) mode, it wants to climb at full throttle. Cruising speed is usually around 60-70% throttle. Hope this helps! 👍💯😎⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors you are totally correct. I was in full throttle. My next run I’ll keep it lower. How much throttle do you give it to take off? (PS this is my first ever RC plane)
Actually the foam on the volantex is way more durable than the voodoo, unfortunately the e-flight umx foam birds are brittle and brake if land hard or look at them funny. If you are new to the hobby this is a good airplane to get you going 👍✌️
Voodoo mustang is a wild plane, definitely not for beginners, unless you just fly it in SAFE, but what's the point of that. I learned to fly on the eachine/volantex/leambe/rage P51 "Miss Kentucky State." Totally worth the $100 or so dollars...
@@myksanchez1222 Yeah, I find flying in SAFE mode makes the plane feel very lethargic. Go to bank for a turn, and the plane is like, "Yeah, I'll get to it eventually." I've accidentally taken off with the switch in SAFE mode, and realize pretty quickly that I need to turn it off.
Hello Saylors! 😉 Would be interesting to compare this side by side with the original Red Tail version Eachine/Volantex/Sonik P-51D. Volantex seem to be updating the earlier mini warbirds now to include later design features, as used on the Mitsubishi Zero released most recently. I've also seen a version 2 of the Corsair advertised online. Wonder if there'll be a new Trojan for Abby? Additional features include, more complicated paint scheme, clear canopy, access feature for motor/gearbox replacement and props with historically correct number of blades instead of the original 2 bladed ones. Not sure whether wings are still glued in place or allow removal simply by removing 1 central screw, to change wings or access receiver board for maintenance. Later mini warbirds with the new design features seem to weigh a bit more than the Mustang, Trojan & Corsair in the original series but unless they're particularly badly balanced or you're comparing side by side I think it's unlikely you'll notice the difference. I won't be rushing to buy new versions of the planes I already have but would love to get my hands on the new Corsair and Mustang multibladed props to add a bit more realism to my existing squadron. Happy landings all. 🛫🛬👍😎👍
Happy Father's Day, Nate! Thanks for all these great, exciting, and informative videos! I love these mini warbirds, but it seems like these do not fly all that well in expert or manual mode, is that right? In your review of the XK rare bear, however, you said you would fly that one mostly in manual mode. While I think the eachine warbirds look better, would you say that the XK warbirds are a better first-plane to learn how to fly well through the 3 stabilization settings? I'm torn between the XK a220 (p40), Sport Cub S2, and an Eachines warbird in considering price, durability, versatility (able to fly in some wind) and learning to fly manually (want to be able to do stunts manually, without the stunt button). I'm assuming you would recommend the Sport Cub (per your best beginner places of 2023, but I'm wondering if these EPP planes and their speed would allow me to fly in slightly windier conditions) Thanks!
I started with the F4U 400mm and have recently gotten the XK a280 (p51). I would recommend starting with 400mm warbirds because they are very well designed, very fun, and I like how the propeller pops of on a crash. If your goal is to get good flying a plane in manual mode because you want to move up in size then the XK would probably be better. The things I don't like about the XK a280 are: It's sluggish, if you crash it into someone it can actually harm them, the flight time is half of the 400mm war birds, it's easy to bend the props if you belly land in the grass, and it limits you to much larger fields than the typical residential park.
Lol that's what I'm trying to choose... I've been looking and the only difference i can find is the colour and slight body change. The insides are identical. The p51 is brighter so its easier to see i guess but the corsair is cheaper, so its just your preference, between colour or price. Hope this helps:).
@@maxdobrin6887 i bought the corsiar... it was like $5 cheaper but looks way better in my opinon. Still hasn't arrived, delivery takes a while to australia😅

BTW. I find mid mode best, if you get some height, then dive to gain speed loops are easy - ,even multiple loops can be achieved 👍😆
That looks so great in the air!
I bought it!!
Thanks again Nate.
Wife is probably going to be mad again. Again thanks alot😊
Hey, I'd love you make a review on the Volantex A6m Zero too😁 I like your filming style
Hey Guys Scott here love that little plane looks like it handled great. Hi Miss Abby !!!!!
We still have yet to fly our sea eagle rtf plane. I’m a bit intimidated by flying. When I was a kid I had one of the cox nitro planes with the string control and first flight I crashed hard. Never flew it again
Kinda early squad where you guys at happy flying all 😊😊😊😊⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️
That's Totes Mcgoats a gnarly little plane bruh! I learned how to fly on the 500mm cub. I'll be in Monticello tomorrow, I live just south of there, probably gonna bring my ROC MB Jeep and drive it on their mini bash mountains. I'll stop by your booth and show you my sweet suspension mods.
Second!!!! Looks like a great lil P51
I believe it is the same company. Look at the owners manual and you will find Both names.
My first plane I bought was the volantex p51 750mm after watching your video on it back in 2020.. that plane flies so freaking good! Do you guys still have that plane?
Love the content! I like the color scheme of the plane! Keep up the good work!
Great content !
Thanks Jim! 👍😁😎⚓️
You also need to trim when you switchto expert mode...in beginner gyro controls it mostly
Great video guys 🙂 I love these little planes ! Will order this one for sure. Always hook them up to my TX16S. You get much more control that way👍
Very cool 👍
I should have mine in the mail hopefully in next day or 2. I'll have almost all the eachine warbirds except 1 that refused to fly.
I just need new propellers often
Thanks for the review 😜👍👏💪
Which is the better plane? This one or the volantex BF 109?
THX
I've got a bench full of these mini warbirds, don't have a 51 though. The eachine P-47 has been the worst so far, without any modification it flies like an arse heavy brick.
I couldn't resist.
What glow plug do you use for your plane help
These are electric 👍😎💯⚓️
Is this same exact airframe mold as the emachine p51 ? Thanks
Ditto!,. Hi to Abby your Rock,..
Lucky Man.
15 years ago When I picked up my First RC Plane age 50 years old.
Wish these type of Birds were there for me Than.😢. Lucky Noobs go buy an fly these.
0:15 Eflite did mini war birds about 10 years ago tho.
Hello Nate, just ordered this P51 Mustang..Beautiful plane. Need to know if I can fly it by using my Spektrum NX8 transmitter? You guys do a great job..God bless your whole family.
Unfortunately, you can not... You can use an opentx transmitter with a multimodule, however.
@@SeaPancakes1 The transmitter has to support the V761 protocol which is what these planes use. 4in1 module in those transmitters should have that. I got a Radiomaster Zorro transmitter (4in1) EdgeTX and it works.
I love my one !
Awesome!! 👍😁😎⚓️
Do you know if there is any better transmitters you can bind to these Volantex 400mm.?
Hi I'm new to rc boating is the balance cord just for when you charge it?
DOES THIS PLANE HAVE A BRUSHLESS MOTOR CAUSE IM TRYING TO GET INTO THIS HOBBY AS YOUNG AS I AM
Can you use a real transmitter (e.g. Spektrum) with these? BTW They are on sale now for only $75.
What is the best eachine plane under $100.00 I have a eachine wizard 220s and controller would that radio work with the plane
Full throttle on take off is totally fine 👍💯😎⚓️
I think the trim takes forever as well. I had to keep pushing the trim for a long time before it responded.
If you look at the branding eachine is using volantex designs so if you think about it you love volantex lol😂
FMS King Fisher is a great next step…!
I was actually surprised it was not a four bladed prop instead of a 2 bladed prop. I am just saying
It comes with a two bladed prop installed, but comes with TWO four blades props as well 👍😁 I do show these near the end of our video 😉😎⚓️
The new P-51 has telemetry alarm, and fail transmitter signal.
Is it under 250 grams?
Thanks!
Thank you very much!
well under 250g
Just wondering Abby: do you always get your 'bye' right the first time?
Probably 100% of the time that I’m not sick. When I was sick with Daniel every now and then it took a few tries 🤒 😅❤️⚓️
Id like to buy it but, it shows $99 not $86
How would you say it compares to the EFlite UMX Voodoo Mustang?
toy - hobby grade
Has 4 prop propeller?
Yes 👍😁 Two as a matter of fact! Comes with four total props. Two two blade and two four blade! Awesome set up 😎⚓️
I got one it’s soooo fun!
All the Volantex warbirds including this one are under $ 70 on Lazada, if you are in Asian countries
Interesting. Good to know for our world wide viewers!
I'm going to start flying my Ironman he flies like a helicopter Thomas from Winter Haven Florida
Hi, Where can I buy spare propellers please ?
Is the leambe brand on Amazon the same thing I'm so confused
We have the correct airplane linked. I can’t speak for any other knock off brand. Would you like me to send you the correct link? ⚓️
Can the frequency be changed so my wife and I can fly together
No need to change anything! They just work together without interfering. 2.4Ghz can operate hundreds together just fine 👍💯😎⚓️
To pair any plane to transmitter turn both on within 3 seconds they pair automatically
Hi do you think Volantex will upgrade the Spitfire with transparent canopy?
They’ve done it I’ve just got one
@@Oneloverc-r8i yes i know but only one colour scheme the KLOB still has an opaque canopy :(
400 mm ?
Yes
This or Corsair F4U?
Lol that's what I'm trying to choose... I've been looking and the only difference i can find is the colour and slight body change. The insides are identical. The p51 is brighter so its easier to see i guess but the corsair is cheaper, so its just your preference, between colour or price. Hope this helps:).
@LushezYT 😂😂 what did you choose im trying right now
@@maxdobrin6887 i bought the corsiar... it was like $5 cheaper but looks way better in my opinon. Still hasn't arrived, delivery takes a while to australia😅
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
mine flew away. I couldn't get it to come back down...
Just lost mine 😢
When I use the link the plane is $99. When I add your coupon code it raises the price of the plane to $119 with a $35 discount. Interesting.
Haha, that’s weird!! 😂😂⚓️
😁😁👍👍
A shame the coupon code doesn’t work for European customers 😢
Oh no! I’m sorry 😢⚓️
🤩🇺🇸👍🤩🇺🇸👍
Motors don't last long in them
More like $100 but I bought one 😂. I have the 1.5 Mustang
Did you use our coupon code? Knocks it down 👍😁😎⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors well I screwed up dang it!!
4 hours after the video it's $99.99 so $14 more.
Sorry I'm guessing the code is what makes it cheaper?
Yeah, sorry I wasn’t more clear about that in our video. Use the coupon code and Boom!! Amazing price 👍😁😎⚓️
I wanna fly them but I’m a kid so my parents won’t buy me good ever planes because there. “To expensive “
Ok I will try that
There are also a lot more cheaper airplanes
Whos selling it
Is it banggood
listen to Momma Moron!
Nate, what happend
What happened?! 🤷♂️😅⚓️
