I GOT SCAMMED BY 2 MAKEUP ARTISTS

- On today's episode of going to the WORST REVIEWED MAKEUP ARTIST, I was scammed by 2 makeup artists.
The price list board listing was £20 for makeup, yet the makeup artists said the prices have gone up to £35 !!! If this was genuine they really need to change their price list becuase trading standards would not be too happy LOL
Let me know if you think it was a scam or she was genuinely telling the truth?

You should do one where you ask them to be softer. To give you a clean sponge/ blender. Ask for clean brushes and see how far it goes. It's a new concept.

I understand prices change especially currently but they still had the sign up and there was no “from” for make up, a £15 increase is shocking. They should’ve honoured the £20 since it was still on show.
That loud ass awful music and everyone shouting over it is giving market vibes. Nothing about this is relaxing or even enjoyable. I'd leave there stressed and exhausted 😩
Ive noticed its always super loud in african and indian beautysalons. loud music, screaming and kids jumping around.
@@Blondie147 i dont know about african ..but speaking for salons based in India - beauty salons run under experienced and qualified people have no loud noise (songs are pkayed but at an appropriate volume) and as of kids messing around... I've never encountered such an experience yet !

Many of these MUAs are from India or thereabout and they enjoy listening to their own traditional music. Here in London you hear that kind of music in so many different shops. I don't mean to be offensive, but I can't stand it 😅. The melody and those high pitch voices 😵💫🤯. Of course it has cultural relevance to them and, therefore, fair enough. But let's just say I don't find it relaxing!

Sorry, dirty brushes/sponges?! That’s all I needed to see and hear. Also, I skeeve anyone touching my face period cannot imagine them rubbing dirty or used makeup on me. Either use tools or products New or disinfected not your hands. This just raised my ick vibes off the charts. I do have one question, do they use disposable eye brushes thin brush to apply liner and eyes shadow or disposable lip brush for your mouth? Also, are the product’s new and yours to keep once you’ve used them? Thank you for the video.

I think during eyeshadow the song they were playing was the Indian version of GunsnRoses November rain. Guitar riff, orchestra end totally sounded like it. I have no idea what the song was saying but that foundation brush was triggering. 🤢 Ya. .that's all I have to add
Be careful with the dirty utensils on your face and be honest when they ask if you like it. Love the videos!

Someone raising the price right before they start IS a scam. They're tryna bet that you won't have the time or inclination to want to find another makeup artist last minute. The makeup was pretty, tho.
The makeup is nice! The hygiene and overcharging wasn’t cool. But the gentle application and the end look is nice!
next time they try to charge you say no, im leaving then.. & they will likely say stay & theyll do it for the posted price.. i used to hsve that happen in nail salon, anyways
The salon music was extremely loud. It started to give me a headache.
Not bad. She went too hard with the metallic eyeshadow and brought it too high in the corner. I love that lipstick though. Nice color and finish. It would've been cuter with real simple shadow, a good winged liner and that lipstick.

I only wear shadow, liner and lips (lip gloss). Soooooo... watching your videos and the ritual that goes with makeup, does it hurt when they do the cleanser and moisturizer??? I mean, everyone I watch it looks like they are ripping your face off😳

Besides them who may be thinking that you are rich, I think you also encourage overcharging (especially in places like this) when saying you love it, it's really lovely etc. So depending on how much you are ''liking it'' they add more money thinking that they are super experts or something since you are sooooo happy with the results 😅😅

Gosh, their music is horrendous doubly loud and tinny, like it’s playing from an old phone speaker. Unfortunately, I had to turn the sound off, so I wasn’t able to hear anything she was saying after talking of being scammed

It is illegal to charge a higher charge than advertised, it is false advertising and you can go to trading standards especially when the charge is clearly marked on the board. I did not like this make up look, sorry 😢

I mean yes it isn't perfection but it doesn't look absolutely horrible. She can walk around outside with it on.
Iv noticed that you have stopped pushing your mouth and lips out ... they look so much better lately ... love your videos ... I watch in bed ... I think they over charge because you do come across a bit dippy
The eye look was actually really pretty the lipstick color was not it, everyone saying she wasn’t scammed she was clearly scammed the sign literally says 20 pounds if it was 35 they should have changed the sign….
In my opinion it is not a scam if you were advised of the price change ahead of services being rendered and you agreed to it.
The look is pretty. Just over done for your particular face. It could have been done more tastefully.
I was going to comment on there being a decent foundation match, but I reckon that was more by chance given all the times that brush had clearly been used before it touched your face… eeww!

The music is horrible and annoying AF and I didn't want to miss Julia talking so I didn't want to turn it down and i see I'm not the only person that feels that way about that music I don't know if it was to loud or just sucked lol

It's not scamming if they've told you their actual current prices before starting the makeup process, especially if you agree to get the makeup done after they've informed you. It'd be scamming if they said nothing or a lower price and then proceed to charge you more when you're finished. They should however change the sign a.s.a.p.
Also, they might think you're more well off than others because you have dyed hair and lingering traces of lip filler. Those are expensive procedures. Of course this doesn't mean they're excused from overcharging you, but it does answer your question as to why this might be happening to you. Looking at you from an outsider's perspective, you look kinda bougie girl 🤣

Believe it or not they do not have to give you it for £20, the price list is what they call an invitation to treat…no shop has to do it. Iv been learning about laws for a course and it’s shocking really 😂, she needs to clean that foundation brush it was caked

your eyes looked good u til ahe put that lipstick shimmer over the inner eyes....the lipstick was shocking....I sont think you were scammed $20 pounds sounds way cheap you usually pay $50 pounds on average so even at $35 it's atill cheap...look it's not really bad it's just passable for the worst mua xx ps the audio was anoying i lnow u couldnt help it but id put it up to hear you then when the indian music came on it was really deafening had to turn it down...in future maybe ask if they can turn it down or off while you film....i really couldnt relax with this video with that high level indian music
It kinda drives me crazy that you go in and get your makeup all done pretty but your hair looks as if you just woke up or just got in a fight with one of them girls that pulls your hair and scratches instead of using fists lol Do you have a P.o. Box I want to send you a mini hair brush that you can fit it in your purse or head bands maybe?? Not that it matters your so pretty Your a knock out no matter how your hair looks with or without makeup on

Unless you're living under a rock, everything's price went up. Food, gas, oil, medicine, electricity and so on. As a result, its very logical that services would go up. Why is everything becoming more expensive than ever? Watch the news.
You have a fair point, but regardless, the shop advertises £20 and she was charged more. So her point is that she was charged more than the advertisement, not that rates have increased. If this was the case then the shop should have updated the sign outside, but either way she paid more than expected
