What a genius Dalì was! I loved him and his art from the first time I saw his paintings....there'll never be someone like him, never. He inspired my art and my poetry with his visionary spirit and I'll never forget it. Goodbye Salvador, you'll live forever.
Dali is one of the most inspirational painters that have ever lived! I see his style of painting in artists young and old. I heard he considered himself the saviour of modern art, some 20th century artist take offense at this but i must say isn't it true? and the answer is YES! Plus the spanish are very well talented people it art, music and acting. Anyone ever heard of the great spanish flamenco musician Paco De Lucia! que viva la arte y musica para siempre!
" . Que genio este hombre... será eterno
@ferdinandsouz hey, the music you hear is "Isoldes Liebestod", the last part of Richard Wagners Tristand und Isolde. I recommend to you to listen to the entire opera!!
Hi! You'll find out this music at the end of "Tristan und Isolde", by Wagner. This is the last aria from the whole opera. Bye and good luck from Spain! ¡Hola!
picasso and dali were friends and in-fact the same generation..they hung out together and dali was inspired by picasso to work in the cubist manner... dali considered picasso a genius and visited him a few times in paris to see what the master was up to... creating ground-breaking masterpieces of course !!
@Pabbles123 But you have to bear in mind the extent to which the adoption of fascism was a 'pose' with Dali, like many other poses he adopted during his life. Compounded by the fact the many artists and intellectuals subscribed to ideas under the fascism of Franco just so so they could work in spain. Also it may have been done as a reaction to Breton and the other communist influenced surrealists with whom he had fallen out. Dali was an artist, not a political animal at all.
I've heard DEEPAK cHOPRA say- when you live life as if Death is stalking you constantly ,you will become your essence and fulfill the reason , as DALI says here also ,of his every erotic moments of life he creates with.....
Dali says in 2:35 that "the day Dali paints a picture, the next week he will die" I have a theory about the point he is trying to make but i'm not sure what he means. Can someone tell me exactly what he is trying to say? Thanks
All the artists he mentioned died at a young age bar Velazquez. He is saying that great artists don't live long and if he was to surpass great artists he probably would only last 1 more week. I do believe that Dali knew the art of being modest as to not attract too much attention to his unbridled confidence.

Dali was a genius and was also illuminati look at all the paintings closely!!
@Ostap Kostyuk Hey I am pretty sure it's by Wagner from his opera Tristan und Isolde. I don't know which song it is though.

Duchamp is the Father of Modern Art.
