It handles premiere pro very well! I am currently editing it's review video on this very laptop and I'm happy with how it's doing. So it will do great with animation too
@@LightninGirl are you still doing the CFI thing? Regionals are about to start hiring soon if that's something you're interested in. We will start hiring too this year finally!
Thank you! I think you might want to watch the review of this laptop to make sure it's the right one for you. I will be posting it soon. It was nice to hear your positive feedback 🧡
doesn't even make any sense in calling it a thin and light gaming laptop when the power brick weighs as much as a mac book air and you don't even have the option to power it via type c
I quoted Alienware when I said "this is the thinnest gaming laptop by Alienware". There's nothing to argue about it because it is the thinnest they have made. The laptop is light when we are comparing it to other gaming laptops. It is no ultrabook, and gaming laptops are bought for a different purpose. So we cannot compare the two. Also, there is an option to power it through a Type C port
The power brick isn't really a problem for me since I keep it in one spot. It isn't like your walking around with a gaming laptop everywhere you go. Although it runs out of battery extremely quickly (2 hours tops).
I have done a complete review of this laptop. I talk about how hot it gets, the cooling and gaming performance. You might like that. Here is the link ua-cam.com/video/AAJm5OA4wwA/v-deo.html
@@LightninGirl I own the Alienware 15 R4, GTX 1070, I test it for 8 hours of highly demanding AAA titles, when the temperature is around 95 degrees Celsius the frame rate is drop and the game is slowing down for about half to 1 minute. So, as long as you can keep your laptop cool enough, there’s no chance of getting the CPU and GPU throttle
@@1xplorer oh! The highest temperature I could get this laptop to, like I mentioned in the review, was 94 degree Celsius and it had no effect of the game play. It was still pretty smooth
@@LightninGirl Try - Horizon zero dawn-> Ultra setting - Red Dead Redemption 2 -> Ultra setting - Metro Exodus -> Ultra setting with Texture filtering 16x, Ray tracing-> On, Tessellation -> On - Assassin’s creed Origin/ Odyssey-> Ultra setting And see how much FPS can you get

Yes. And I'm glad you liked it.
This is an unboxing video, if you want to watch the review video, it also on my channel
Just so you know, the exterior is magnesium alloy. That's why it's so light and solid. :)
Thanks! That's good to know
Does anybody have experience with after effects, premiere pro and basically animation on this laptop. How does it stack up? should i go for it?

Cool Video, Why u decided to get an r3 instead of a newer r4?
It was more expensive but did not feel like it was worth the upgrade.
Came here for the laptop review, but found out you're a pilot! Me too!

I really love my Alienware…..
Its awesome 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
It sure is 😊
I don’t believe that thin basle can extract heat and keep the laptop cool enough for intensive games sessions
