Same thing happen to me. The cyan would not print and anything gray would print pink. I just bought a laser printer and gave this crap to my daughter to print b/w and scan.
This printer is the biggest POS ever. Ink costs a fortune and there are no aftermarket options. Even if you bought an ink refill kit the cartridges are rendered useless because the printer stores number of pages printed not the amount of ink in the cartridge.
Staples wouldn’t even take mine back, I only had it for 30 days when I purchased the Office Jet. It was already acting stupid. They know what going on with this printer.

The blue color just stopped printing after 6 months. I tried everything even the best printer cleaning solution, still unable to print blue and also unable to align. Just a waste of MONEY

I was in denial about the clogged ink because it printed black just fine and the color seemed to have stopped working all at once so I thought it was something else; but sure enough this worked immediately!!! I used alcohol & windex instead with an oral syringe though #BrokeGirlTeq
What if when you do the maintenance print to see the quality of the print there’s nothing on the paper? I put brand new cartridges in and there’s nothing showing on the paper
Pretty clear instructions, however the printhead cleaning kit tube would not fit onto the syringe nor the bottle itself. I ended up just squirting directly from the syringe and then the bottle(less than 2 mml) to the printheads and even with a paper towel, the stuff went into the printer body. What a mess to clean up that ink. Will it cause a problem to not get it thoroughly cleaned out of the body of the printer?
This method was helpful... I had to run the config print head cleaning twice after i did it (I think I loosened the clog enough) but on the second pass it went from zero blue to working perfectly.

My gosh! I hate printers so much! One good thing is in HP’s ultra-confusing menu system I found a “clean print head option” I hope that works because I hate touching ink. What they should do is send a brand new printer every month because their printers suck.
I haven't tried the cleaning kit yet, but my 8025 started giving me bad color on the Print Quality Diagnostic Page and I hope this saves me a 44-mile trip to an HP repair center.
is there a way to remove the cartridge out of the printer to clean it? your technique didnt help me, it made it worse. at first the colors were screwed with white strips(sometimes colors are mixed). now no yellow or red(magenta). this printer came with this problem but it took me so long to realize it(too late to return). i used it mostly to print documents in low black quality.
My printer is brand new so I don't think my print head is dirty. Isn't there a setting on the printer that allows for black only color? I think I set it for black only and am now not getting any cvolor printer at all. As I said I don't think this is a dirty print head issue.
Please try the below steps that should resolve the issue .. Open Devices and Printers by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then, on the Start menu, clicking Devices and Printers. Right-click the printer that you want to use, and then click Printing preferences. Make your choices, and then click OK. Under option Print color select color , then the OK button. Now the printer is set to print in color.
H/p 8030 Cleaned 3 times but now only printing black, It seems to be convinced that the NEW color cartridges are empty so it is not even trying to print with them. Is there a flag I can set or override somewhere to convince it there IS ink in the color cartridges so it at least tries to push ink into/thru the nozzles? Is there any way to replace the printhead on this model?
Only do this if you really see actual ink on the printheads. If they look clean, then you simply might have to press harder on the cartridges. As the fit on this printer is not very good.
just found ur channel i need ur help please ! i was trying to do regular maintenance on my hp, after the alignment failed it suggested i clean the ink cartridges..after i did that nothing prints anymore. all my pages have been blank :/ not sure what to do now
I followed this method to fix a problem with cyan. It was almost non existent on printing . I pushed 10ml through the print head and the cyan print quality improved significantly. But it wasn’t perfect still so I pushed another 5ml through the print head. I thought this would help but it actually made everything worked. Now I don’t have any cyan on printing. Do you know what happened ie why did it get worse and what should I do now? Hope you can help as the printer is just few days out of warranty.Thanks In advance. K

That definitely sounds like a software issue, you may want to return the printer or sell it and get a new one. That's what I would do.

Then you will definitely need to use the cleaning kit.
You didn’t mention to remove the paper, before starting the process…Water got all over my paper. This worked on all colors except blue.

Simply let it dry for 24 hrs. The tube should fit tight, try twisting it onto the syringe.

They do have a program called Hp instant ink, they send you ink when you run out.
I do not know what printer is being used in this video but my HP 8025 printer does not have the Printer Maintenance option used in this video.
I found mine under "reports" then click "orinter status" and then try "print quality"
Use the utilities from your pc.
Worked perfectly to clean my printer printhead. No more streaks through my colors that use the blue blue ink cartridge.

Mine won’t print magenta now even after cleansing. And replacing it
What you will need to do is run a printhead/power cleaning. That will push the ink back into the system.

You can warm up the cleaning solution, apply consistent pressure when using the syringe.
