- Welcome to my first ever video on this channel! In it, I open my first ever order direct from Hobonichi Japan, and I could not be more excited about some of these gorgeous goodies. Includes a beautiful Weeks, an English edition Monday start Cousin, 2 of the 5-year Techos and a gorgeous cover, as well as my A6 avec for work (which is school - I teach middle school Algebra and Geometry), gorgeous covers and accessories. haha, FYI BT21 was made by BTS: each member came up with a character and they all have back stories, etc. (they have the vids of the creation process on youtube)
But as a 40m yr old, I would still use that pen wherever 😂

Omg I’m not crazy! I could have sworn this pen had some connection to BTS but I had no idea what it was or why I thought that. I must’ve read about it at the time I bought it but just didn’t retain that info… anyway, my 15 year-old son thought I was ridiculous for even mentioning BTS so I can’t wait to tell him this!

Hi, thanks for sharing! Nice, inexpensive fountain pens are Platinum Preppy fountain pens. They are very easy to write with, they don't dry out, and they are inexpensive... did I mention inexpensive? 😂 Their ink is pretty good too & comes in a rainbow of colors.

I think you could also slide the a6 folder behind a clear cover until you get the one you want. Also, regular postcards fit in there perfectly. I change up my cover designs often. And I agree with you- the seasons of hope coc are awesome.

Yes, I almost always go for the single color covers with clear coc because I want to put cute postcards and such under the clear cover to decorate it myself !!! ❤

I started stressing yesterday that even once the restock goes live, it’ll still be impossible to get the Little Gifts cover, and by then my 2nd and 3rd choice covers would be sold out, so I made a somewhat impulse purchase last night and ordered my 2nd choice cover for my A5. I’m thinking I’ll do a follow-up vid when that one arrives. 😊
@@gingerlefty I purchased what I thought I wanted from Hobonichi but with all these fun unboxing videos I keep rethinking what I want. I’m being pulled in the direction of an A5 hon because the covers are beautiful but I already purchased a 2024 cousin. Funny how you try to create a purpose for a planner just so you can have the cover. I’m in trouble. Ha ha looking forward to seeing your next video and I really hope your able to find the cover you really want! The hunt can be so stressful and yet exciting
@@tinabrown6892 totally! I’m curious to see how the A5 Hon does once it chunks up. My A5 is my memory-keeper/journal where I use washi & stickers and I know I can count on that Cousin binding to hold regardless of the chunk. I didn’t want to risk the Hon not being up to the task, so I passed on it this year, but if it proves itself this year lol maybe it’ll make it into my 2025 lineup!
I did a ‘memory a day’ in a monthly spread, and told myself if that if I kept up with it I’d do a 5 year - but I ALSO got the A6 because I want the memory keeping to be easy peasy to follow through on each day! And that 1-2 lines per day to fit in the A6 space for the 5 year journal is perfect.
Totally. The A6 size feels so doable. Even if I’m utterly exhausted, even just putting one big word to sum up my day counts as journaling, right?
I also loved your intro. I hadn’t really analyzed my excitement for this process before and you nailed it. Beautiful video. On a side note. If I were in school yours would have been my least favorite class even if you were my favorite teacher. Sorry. My first grade teacher traumatized me in math and it has affected my whole life regarding math anything. Seriously I failed math in college 3 times.😢😊

You and math could be good for each other! 😉In all seriousness, I try really hard to make sure every student knows they have the capacity to be strong math students. Haha, the problem with the Little Gifts cover is, it would be extremely popular in Japan...!! I could see too many Japanese customers going for it straight on.... They like cute things so much!! I was happy that I didn't fall in love with it as much because I would be quite sad otherwise... 😅 But I will have to hurry up with the One Piece release in Oct 1st because last year in 5-10 min every single item (all 4 covers) where gone! It was so frustrating but I was lucky enough to put my order through for all of them 😮 I wouldn't like to have this again for the Little Things so that's why I'm grateful it wasn't in my wishlist anyway❤❤
That’s so awesome that you got all the One Piece items you wanted! I considered the Mother HON; love that cover. But just don’t think I can use a HON as my memory keeper; afraid the binding won’t hold all the chunk!
