I just put mine on 15 minutes ago wow there’s a big difference and it sounds a whole lot better. I already had borla pipes too !!!
Can't wait till mine gets in!
Great video. I was looking to see what to do with the gromit!! Thank you!
I saw another video where they removed the silencers. Did you do that?
hello which do you recommend is better for raptor 3.5 ecoboost 2019., the JLT intake or the K&N intake
Anyone know why I’m getting a check engine light? I already bought a new IAT sensor to rule that out but , that didn’t fix it. Put it all back stock and it’s still on. Help meeee.
How much does a unit like that cost?
I dont see any comments though it says there are 7.
I did not see you install vent tube on this one, does k&n not offer it is it something we should
From our experience AFE is the only one who supplies the vent tube insert, K&N does not.
CJ Off-Road is there one that you prefer or is it just up to user discretion thank you for your reply
75 more HP ?
Where does the cold air come from
Does anyone know if it’ll fit my 2.7?
Dude the black plug Go anywhere ?
When you drive, does the come suppose to spin?
The cone should not spin, if it does it needs to be tightened.
Hi, I bought this system recently but the Check Engine Light come on, Code P04DB. I have to do a Tune to turn it off? Or is there any other solution. Thanks
same thing happened to me, emailed K&N but no response yet
You need to make sure that the air sensor was placed in the right position.
Use the old tubing to see how it was placed originally.
So, you replace air intake from the outside of the engine compartment
(cooler) with one that draws air (hotter) from inside the compartment?
How does that equal a cold air intake?
KirkDickinson It’s still connected to the duct that pulls in outside air. The hood seals to the top of the air box.
@@shootski It looks like it is wide open to the engine compartment.
1 so if it's scooping the outside air then it would colder air, but now it's open, but the hood seals it yes, but what about hot days where the hood is taking a beating fron the sun, wont that radiates the heat from the hood while sucking in air? It's an honest question, I'm just trying to find the logic behind it because I want one
It's not as much about getting "cold air" (which does help with a better burn for combustion), but about getting MORE air volume pushed through the system (measured in CFMs). The better the engine breathes in (intake) and breathes out (exhaust) the better your efficiency/power ratios will be.
MPG???? any inprovement...
what else is done to the truck besides a cold air?
Tune and cat back, there are videos for all on our channel
Who cares how it sounds. Why don’t you show dyno results to prove there are horsepower gains
LMAO, I missed the part where I'm supposed to remove the o-ring from the sensor. I installed it back the way it is. Guess I should go back and remove it.
ik this is from a year ago but, it wouldnt have mattered , just the rubber gromit acts as a oring in a way so u domt need it
I just had this system installed brand new and the check engine light came on that same day. Is this common? Tomorrow I’ll take it back to the shop to see what code is throwing.
You need to place the air sensor exactly in the same position that it was in the original tubing.. if you place it in a different position is going to malfunction and give you a code with check engine light
Did you unhook the negative battery terminal, if not do so and it should reset it
Hi, I bought this system recently but the Check Engine Light come on, Code P04DB.what should I do ? I installed on 2016 ford f150 3.5 ecoboost thanks.
I've never heard of this kit throwing a code, check and make sure all your hoses are properly connected and not broken.
Sounds like you possibly either didn't secure the sensor correctly or damaged it.
Do I need to tune my truck after installing the intake ????
You don't NEED one, but a tune will help you get the most out of it.
CJ Off-Road so I will still have a better throat response and and performance even If i don't tune it
Yup!
@@CJBroncoF150 is the check engine light comes on after that instalation?
I think he said 25 more hp
Raphael Navarro "up to" in reality a lot less
thats a turbo i hear?
2 of em - twin turbo V6
I just installed my K& N it make funky sounds when i step on a gas.
I don't feel any difference on horse power or torque.
Is the check engine light on? What noise are you hearing? Double check and make sure everything is installed correctly.
Freddy CJPP I just found out it is normal hissing noise when intake is trying to take more air.
No I don't have check engine light on.
Thanks for ur reply Freddy. I love ur videos.
Thanks! Glad everything is all good!
The super glue is really tacky . Come on k&n , you can do better.
Fyi if you follow their instruction you just voided your k&n warranty
