Great video and look into the management side of racing. When he was talking about the team/manufacturer collaboration, it kind of reminded me of the type of collaboration they have in NASCAR. Very cool to see a privateer doing well in BSB.

Wait, 300 000 is the cost a season without the revenue from the sponsors or with it? To be exact, why do people like Steve Moore choose to drop 300 000 of their own money a year on their own team? Is there any return other than.. fun?
I mean, God bless them, just trying to figure out how this works
There's prize money for winning, and the companies obviously get TV time especially with a big name like Hopper riding for them. For the most part in BSB though, it's more that people just love the sport and want to put something back into it when they're wealthy enough to which I think is brilliant.
Of course revenue is a big part of it, but I think that racing on most levels in any sport is for many people done for the love of racing and the sport.
Because they love bikes and have a fat wallet, long may it continue!
Exactly my question. The cost is crazy, but there must be some revenue and I would say a profit actually. Don't tell me they just "wasting" all the money, if you really want to just race, I am sure you can race for less in different category.
To a Multi Millionaire. With a business that is still generating income. That is not a lot of money. Think of what the rich could blow on 1 vacation. He gets the enjoyment all year round.

I've often fancied with the idea that if I won the lottery I would have my own BSB team and bring on young riders through the system but listening to Steve explain how much everything costs and what is involved makes me see just how much goes into making a team work!
