    It's important to:
    1. Buy assets that can produce money
    2. Understand depreciation
    3. Learn how to collect money
    Additional tip:
    1. Yes, it is possible to buy liabilities after a couple of years of depreciation, maintain it well/fix it up and turn it into an asset
    2. If you're starting out at zero, you'll have to trade time for money until you're able to build a system that makes you money

Which schooling you have also makes a big difference in how you carry yourself forward in life. When you have to go to public school and are lumped in with a cesspool of underachieving morons and clout chasers it wreaks havoc on your self confidence and outlook as a young impressionable person. Not saying you can’t change things as an adult but a leg up certainly helps.

With that being said, no one has taught us how to see and use money correctly. I grew up being taught to look for a job and save money. Your daughter is so lucky to have someone to mentor her at the young age that most of us are just only dream of.
