Was getting so damn annoyed with that i was like bruh just take out your fucking gps you literally have it in your hotbar stop guessing the locations and he had pins on the map 😑😑
We used to live in the hidden lake, but it was pvp and we were new to the game and didn't bother putting up proper defences, we actually lived there for a long time though, now we live in the southwest cove, we take comfort in the nice location but it will never compare to what we did have
Made a massive community with 5 friends in the hidden lake before the video. Now expanding to completely dominate the island. Great vid! Edit: we’re not jerky server alphas, its a private server
Actually I was planning to make my permenant base in the hidden lake location, for the same perks you have mentioned, but as a newbie to the game, the behimoth gate idea is eye openning, thanks for a great vid
My favorite go to base is at 68, 80. I always put it right at the edge of a very small cliff leading to the beach. A terrain ramp is located right next to the house so I can easily get in there. I have plenty of wood from the forest located beside it and I have east access to water and the south cave. Even better, when I joined a server I’ve seen two titanosaurs there within a span of a couple of hours. I think it might be a spawn area for them
Hidden lake is the best base for PvE because it is close to a spawn point and people go to tame Castoroides leaving beaver dams full of supplies to get started the lake offers a close water supply,a few animals that would cause a threat that will uncommonly spawn, the only downside is that very rarely but possible for a alpha carno to spawn which is a threat for low to mid level players. And for pvp it only has 3 (4 if you included flying) ways to get in and if you block them off securely no one can get in,because it’s fairly close to far’s peak you can get metal, crystal and obsidian, those giant beavers that spawn there are great for getting wood and it is fairly close to the ocean and winter biome so If you need to tame anything there you can tame it
I've built on Herbo many times and I can say that even spike walls, double high where possible, and with passive riderless dino damage activated on the server it won't stop Brontos from getting into your backyard. You build too far back and you affect the metal nodes.
I've always built my base on the lake in the middle of the Redwood Forest. No matter how many times I have played, I always make my base there. Yea, there are quite a few predators you have to contend with but the amount of resources available make it worth it. You are on a lake so you have your water for crops and irrigation as well as a supply of fish. There are plenty of trees for wood as well as a small mountain not far off with metal and crystal. And if you can get a Quetz, or a couple of Argys, both of which can be found in the Redwood forest, then you can take a little flight straight to the volcano for all the metal/obsidian/crystal you could want. There is also a cave with an artifact not too far off from the area (though the cave if filled to the brim with loads of hostile insects. Though overall, the area itself is really pretty with the towering trees which can be used for platform structures as well. You can also get snails in the Redwood Forest so tame up some of those and you will have an almost unlimited supply of cementing paste. The location has just about anything and everything you could need for a nice little PvE base if you can get up a nice little defense against the predators in the area.
I came across an alpha raptor once while playing solo on my phone, I was wondering what that red glow around it was so I followed it and saw it was an alpha raptor. For some reason it didn't try to kill me, it just ran around me and attacked occasionally which didn't do much harm to me. I was gonna try and tame it but it was attacking some other dino (a herbivore) and I was trying to kill the dino cuz it was in the way, so I accidentally killed the alpha raptor while killing the other dino (I had already decreased the alpha's health) so yay, I killed the first ever alpha dino I have seen in the game x)
Me and my mates just started the game and we’re setting up shop around (50,25) so just South West of the volcano. Right between the snow and redwoods biomes aswell. Really nice spot, explorer note submerged in the water nearby and good supply of all sorts of recourses, materials and Dinos. I think there’s a cave right next door aswell but haven’t gotten around to going yet 🙂
I just got to the northeast island last night and my dude is at lvl 26. I found a tek parasaur on the way. I reach the island, loose 3 Dino’s to Sarcos and as soon as I pull up, I see a Carni and the suns going down. I just want to protect my tekky.
The footpaw is also a great place I live there two house one big one medium, a hatchery, big pit for my big dinos protection, garden, taming and breeding place also....love that spot most definitely
These are all good locations but none of them take into account space for having water creatures in easy reach. I tend to build around 25, 72 (on the inlet by the oasis/valley thing). The inlet is pretty deep but narrow enough to bridge with pillars to close off (and stick behemoth gates on top) to keep large sea creatures in. It can be a bit hazardous to start with as very occasionally bigger predators wander around there. Lots of flat land on the beach as well.
I recommend living near the east swamp, at the north of it. Make sure to be at least lvl 25, there are sarcos, kapros and titanoboas in the area, but it's a good area after you "clear" it (kill the predators) a bit, it's a good area. Also there are baryonix and frogs in the area (baryonix a bit rare) and I would definitely recommend getting those dinos, they're real useful, since baryonyx is easy tame yet really powerful. Just bola it and tranq it.
I don't play on a server because my phone can't handle it, but I built my base down there around the rocky place he showed, but it was on that small island next to it. I fenced the whole thing in and let some of my smaller dinos wander, and it's really pretty. Not the flattest place, and not a lot of metal but it's still really cool. There's nothing really dangerous, either, just some therizinosaurus and some spinos if you go up the river a little, and I think a sarco spawned on it just once but other than that there was nothing too dangerous.
I put my base at 34.75, i'm pretty sure it's called the weather top. it's pretty far out of the way so not much spawns up there, but the problem is it's almost too far out of the way, the only metal i'm getting is from river rocks and I have to go pretty far away from my base to get any decent amounts of hide, i'm thinking about making a raft and moving up the river to another location
I built mine on the edge of a cliff to the river at Lon48 Lat48. Theres a natural barrier with the cliff so you only have to worry about fencing the forest side to the north. Theres quite a bit of bumpy rock terrain that makes building slightly more difficult but there are some at least 12x12 size areas completely flat, so you can even find space for a taming pen outside your base walls. Lots of wood, metal, rock just meters away, access to water from the river (you might have to build pipes using a flyer tho, since the cliff is very steep). 3 of the mountains nearby, closest being the volcano with all its resources, 3min fly away from green obelisk, Redwoods being across the river to the south, relatively short fly to the swamp as well as the snow biome, chitin rich cave just around 400m to the north, which next to the open area where a lot of good dinos spawn between the mountains. I also found beehive right across the river so i made a platform and a ramp there for both sap and honey. Beaver dams 1min fly away to the east. There are so many good things about this location, lots of sheep, herbavores, carnivores, mammals you name it. Loads of supply drops and different kind of alphas running around on the beaches, and if you build your fence from cliff to cliff, nothing can climb inside your base and from the fliers theres just few occasional pteranadons disturbing your peace. If youre creative enough with building, you might be able to make a bridge across to the Redwoods. Its also perfect to get an argie and a sabertooth early game. Only one downside is that theres not too much berries/fiber plants close to the cliff since its all rock, but once you get a harvesting dino for that, it's all good. Oh and the river gives plenty of fish so your otter etc. stays fed. Best way to get there is to build a starter base on the West side beach (medium) survive, get a flyer and do the moving.
that last place i found by myself before i stumbled upon this video but it was pvp. i haven't been back to that server in a while so lord only knows what became of my body and small structures i already built
It is inevitable that videos like this will get people in the comments saying, "This base is horrible for pvp because it's out in the open!" People are stupid and don't read before they open their mouths/start typing.
I know another good base location in the redwood forest its at 61, 31. It looks a bit like the valley but there are a few carnos but you should be able to take them out quite easily and its got some good flat land on the little cliff sides and you even have an explorer note and water fall
I play solo on mobile, but some of my faves are the "Hook" beach south-central on the Island map (especially useful for beginner bases since its an easy area), Herbivore Isand for all the reasons listed, Weathertop and the surrounding area (most dangerous thing I find there are the occasional Theri, but Spinos and Barys sometimes spawn in the river a little ways off), though I'm currently scouting out others to see which dinos would go best there.
A place i love to build at are the waterfalls near the red Obelisk in the south west. Granted getting metal is a bit of a pain at early to mid game but after getting a high lv Argentavis thats no problem. Other than that it is just a beautiful place to build
the 3rd island is my personal fav, because you can build RIGHT next to the first boss, Have some space to build a dino pen, and most dinos there are harmless!! Wonderful! I make a good base there with 3 stories, no issues so far! Thank you for this and keep it up for sure!! (Edit: Just tamed a bronto, it ran into the pit of the Obelisk, thinking that's how it could get to me but it couldn't and I knocked em' out. Even more Perfect!)
my favorite places to build in single player are the plateaus along the river around 50,80. The east side of the river has easy access to the cave system nearby for crystal, chitin, and obsidian, and the west side plateau is a great staging area for mining iron and crystal at the top of the hill. You pretty much have everything you need except easy access to doeds, anklyo, and cheap polymer, but that can be fixed with taking a transport raft and building some outposts. The gap between the two cliffsides can easily be run with a diplodocus or argent, and the east side has plenty of space to build various barns, farms, and workshops.
I have buit in the #2 location many times in my single player. It is a great mid to late game location but early game you wilk have trouble getting to it. Once you are there, the wildlife around isn't to difficult. A lot of Broncos (easy prime meat) and occassional raptor, but mostly herbivores in the direct vicinity. If you pause the video at 2:26 you can manage a comfortable base size up there and not worry about cutting off water rock spawns. Make sure you surround the uphill part with gates (regular or behemoth), and the top of the hill (the back of the base) with fences two or three high so you and your dinos dont fall down. This leaves the area that he is showing below, available for taming pens, mutton/organic poly farms, etc. As long as you put up just a couple of gates to block off the three openings. There is forest behind (to the right if you paused at 2:26 ) for easy wood/thatch harvest, water rocks in that crevis he is showing, as well as in the river at the front for loads of stone, metal, and flint. Sap/honey harvest in the trees right across the river, and beaver dams just down river (to the Northeast) and Chitin Cave/volcano down river to the West. It is also close to the very center of the map, so each area (biome, obelisk, cave) is a short distance away. I use this location as a main base, then there is a mountain directly behind (north) that i set up a metal forge/bullet factory outpost at the very top of. I leave an anky, doedic, and argy (or quetz) up there with a chem bench to make tons of spark powder and gunpowder. I have two industrial forges up there (one for smelting wood into charcoal, the other for metal). Then I have a fabricator and two smithy's up there to make my bullets/darts. I play on console, so i can't use stack mods. :(
Cjthecheesedj My favorite base location is roughly 62,34. It's in the redwoods and there is a small lake on the southern part, metal nodes to the east and the easiest way to find it is to go along the southwestern side of the redwoods until you find a river and follow it up, past three or four waterfalls and some ruins
My base is just down the hill of the green obelisk, it's a gorgeous flat spot that makes for great building, and it's closer to the center of the map, which is nice because there are no central spawn locations on the island. You also have all the benefits of living next to an obeslisk. Only downside is you get BOMBARDED by dilos, there's almost always a pack of three making their way over the hill, but they're not at all hard to kill, so they're an easy source of meat and hide
I've been building my big base on the south-west peninsula, flat and sparsely populated with good space for dino and water dino pens. I do have small huts and structures strewn across the island for resource gathering though as the peninsula is pretty far from most things.
79 30 is good place for a PvE base A few dilos and sometimes a spino but they go away eventually Plus it's a beach so you have wood and stone constantly popping up and it's good for feeding carnivores because of the coelecanths
i built on dead isle/predator isle (in my server people call it carno isle). on the south side of carno isle animals will rarely spawn if at all. a really nice spot i found is the southern most iceberg. no predators spawn on it. it has underwater tunnels that you can wall off to have effectively indoor water pens. it also is partially enclosed, with another hole for flying tames. there is also a decently flat upper area. the downside to both these locations is weather.
My base is on herbivore island but the down side is there is lots of megladons and unless you claim the whole island not enough space for all your dinos 😩 plus dinos climb over spike walls and drop in all the time! Lol
when you build in walleys, gorges and sinks like the ones you show, its easy to get carnis dropping into your base, or worse, gigas. happenes so many times.
THANK YOU SO MUCH THJS IS GOING TO BE FUN BUILDING im going to try to build at base location 2 i really appreciate you making this i subbed and turned the bell on❤❤❤
You can make a top list about hardest places for pve/pvp bases my vote for one of the hardest is carnivore island Lon90 Lat15 top right corner of the map
In PVE.. I like the hill at the maw. At roughly 42 - 48. It is close to all resources, except water and oil. But build watercontainers that fill up in the rain. And level up an Argi, and airlift in the oil.
After living quite some times at my first ever spawning location on my solo game, I moved to Footpaw Island near the red obelisk. I closed he whole island to let my now useless dinos quietly do their lives. Even if some alpha raptor spawn from time to times, my giga do very well his guardian job
Southern Islets is best region, there’s a good amount of metal and crystals, and the creatures aren’t very dangerous, the most dangerous would be a Spino
Hey, I have never watched your videos but I really like them and are gonna continue to watch them. But one thing I really think would help in these types of videos is putting the coordinates of the different places in your bio.
I’ve lived in the hidden lake for two weeks now and I’ve had a Alpha Carno, Rex, 2 Theirzo, and quite a few raptor packs walk in and slaughter all my tames. RIP Connor the Raptor
Lol, I remember going to the valley and seeing no signs of life, and thought “wow this is a really nice loca-“ *pounced on by alpha raptor that claimed the area*
I think the flat area right east to the south 1 spawn point which has a not big mountain full of rich metal nodes is perfect i had a outpost with industrial forge over there😁
What do you think of building in the foothills? When I was new to the game and got around to venturing off the beach that's where I went. It's worked out fairly well for me.
Just a personal spot i like to build is at the footpaw with the explorer note and the huge rock area around there not the flatest. ut it looks amazing and it you go up the hill a huge amount of flat lands
I built a tower base with a greenhouse on top. It was right on top of that pointy rock cliff next to the green obelisk. No flat terrain at all up there, but i have only seen 1 snake up there that was hostile
I don't know if maybe the map has changed since this video was made or what but Hidden Lake doesn't just have the rare Sarco anymore. The first time I went there, there were two carnos and about 5 troodons. After clearing them out I started to build and 2 in game days later an alpha raptor spawned there. Had to abandon the zone as I was nowhere near prepared to fight it.
Earned yourself a sub :D I agree w/ all the spots you showcased :) but personally, the best spot I've found (I saw in another YT'ers vid, he used as a pvp raid base) is NW of vegetarian island (sorry, don't have the game goin right now :) ) looks like an island in the mid of rivers (east of the swamp) w/ a thin strip of land headin north. Good selection of dinos and thin ravines, easily walled, to make taming pens. :D long comment but no GPS ;D lmao
With the valley the island at the top right is pretty much the best place to tame argies, and you can tame rexes, carnos, raptors, sabertooths, and there's a cave!
I found a pretty good spot right near the center of the map, it is right by the redwoods and swamp so you get access to those creatures but it's kinda far from the snow and the worse threats I've seen are therizinos & raptors
Has a GPS, still tries to guess coords on map. Apart from that, good video brother !!

Second downside, the river is unfortunately too shallow for a water pen.
My dad and I built a base on the little peninsula just north of the hidden lake. Not very flat, but it works!
that last place i found by myself before i stumbled upon this video but it was pvp. i haven't been back to that server in a while so lord only knows what became of my body and small structures i already built
the spot next to the green ob is actually pretty dangerous. all the hostile swamp animals, as well as alpha raptors being pretty common.
dangit. I use creative mode anyway
You can go to the red ob
"Cough"cough" intro not needed
Gamergiggs nah come one that was sick right? Don’t hate pls
Gamergiggs it was needed.
@@nathanielbean3119 It wasnt sick wtf.
@@PlayerBRUV fuck off
It is inevitable that videos like this will get people in the comments saying, "This base is horrible for pvp because it's out in the open!" People are stupid and don't read before they open their mouths/start typing.
I know another good base location in the redwood forest its at 61, 31. It looks a bit like the valley but there are a few carnos but you should be able to take them out quite easily and its got some good flat land on the little cliff sides and you even have an explorer note and water fall
Remember about the thylas! I lost a lvl 150 argy and a Petra to those bastards, they hide in trees and pounce on at you, the redwoods is a no fly zone
Have you ever built on *the dead island?* Me and my friends play on a pvevp server and are built there. it’s pretty *noice.*
AirborneMusicOFFICIAL where is that? Thanks :)
Damian Smith top right corner of The Island, it has lots of carnivores though, like Carnos, argents, sabers, scorpions, etc
ZC Gaming yeah ive been there, was a bitch tho, i died when restarting the game
Bruh have u heard of a lvl 300 Rex with Argus and scorpions plus gigas mate what the hek?
@@nathanielbean3119 he's talking about the South island
I play solo on mobile, but some of my faves are the "Hook" beach south-central on the Island map (especially useful for beginner bases since its an easy area), Herbivore Isand for all the reasons listed, Weathertop and the surrounding area (most dangerous thing I find there are the occasional Theri, but Spinos and Barys sometimes spawn in the river a little ways off), though I'm currently scouting out others to see which dinos would go best there.
Head south from red obelisk and stay along the river, there's a tiered waterfall with a river stretching inland and it's lovely.
Awesome! Beautiful base locations and great spots for farming runs, thank you for this!
my favorite places to build in single player are the plateaus along the river around 50,80.
Great vid very useful thank you!, i'd turn "motion blur" off though haha makes me feel sick
This is useless when there are a million pillars in all the best places.
CC-1921 DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED
Lmao sry we are that type of tribe lmao.
CC-1921 pve is for pussies anyway
@@-sorta 130Giga of content for pussies INDEED, go back to fortnite DUDE
@@-sorta Go play Minecraft PE you little scrub.
79 30 is good place for a PvE base
A few dilos and sometimes a spino but they go away eventually
Plus it's a beach so you have wood and stone constantly popping up and it's good for feeding carnivores because of the coelecanths
i built on dead isle/predator isle (in my server people call it carno isle). on the south side of carno isle animals will rarely spawn if at all. a really nice spot i found is the southern most iceberg. no predators spawn on it. it has underwater tunnels that you can wall off to have effectively indoor water pens. it also is partially enclosed, with another hole for flying tames. there is also a decently flat upper area. the downside to both these locations is weather.
My base is on herbivore island but the down side is there is lots of megladons and unless you claim the whole island not enough space for all your dinos 😩 plus dinos climb over spike walls and drop in all the time! Lol
Bro has came a long way
thank you so much this vid helped me decide a base location for my survival series!
when you build in walleys, gorges and sinks like the ones you show, its easy to get carnis dropping into your base, or worse, gigas. happenes so many times.
That base location down the botton of the map is where I started a base but I decided to move to the small island nearby
So far I've been building mine in the swamp on the little spot that juts out just across from the redwoods
THANK YOU SO MUCH THJS IS GOING TO BE FUN BUILDING im going to try to build at base location 2 i really appreciate you making this i subbed and turned the bell on❤❤❤
I- okay, The Hidden Lake isn’t a surprise; it’s hearing someone call it “the valley”, that made me question my own eyes. 😂
Don't gigas spawn like right next to where #2 is?
Jacob Kubasek I'm pretty sure there are no gigas in the island
Sjsjsjjs Hahahsh gigas do spawn on the island.. they have always spawned on the island
Jacob Kubasek really I never knew that thanks the only things I found before were T. rex are you sure your not getting them confused together?
Sjsjsjjs Hahahsh no I'm sure hahaha I've played for years man. I know the difference
Jacob Kubasek ok fan thank you I've always wanted to tame a giga it might be hard but I'll try my best
Thanks this really helped me
Southern Islets is best region, there’s a good amount of metal and crystals, and the creatures aren’t very dangerous, the most dangerous would be a Spino
Hey, I have never watched your videos but I really like them and are gonna continue to watch them. But one thing I really think would help in these types of videos is putting the coordinates of the different places in your bio.
Smugglers Cove! It has a huge forest, close mountains, green obelisk, redwood is nearby, and plenty of water!
Im literally at the south part of the map and I want to go to the valley which is literally ACROSS the map
Really helpful, thankyou : )
I’ve lived in the hidden lake for two weeks now and I’ve had a Alpha Carno, Rex, 2 Theirzo, and quite a few raptor packs walk in and slaughter all my tames. RIP Connor the Raptor
I just wanna say dude, your videos are pretty damn good :)
If you decide to live by the green obselisc waterfall, the river leading to there, from the ocean is usually fully of carnivores
Lol, I remember going to the valley and seeing no signs of life, and thought “wow this is a really nice loca-“ *pounced on by alpha raptor that claimed the area*
Oh, shit.... was considering finally trying out this location in my next playthrough
Aphla raptors are pretty easy to take care of if you have a trike pack or a raptor pack
About 83 Lat / 58 Lon is a rly great base spot too!
I built my base on the island right next to the Stonehedge island, and it's a very good location.
I think the flat area right east to the south 1 spawn point which has a not big mountain full of rich metal nodes is perfect i had a outpost with industrial forge over there😁
I built in the western approach. It's just west of the volcano right off the river across from the redwood biome it's a nice spot
Pearl lake (AKA Hidden Lake) is a pretty good location.
And yeah! It’s called Pearl Lake! :D
Agaton E. Sir, no it’s it’s called either hidden waterfall or hidden lake
I've built plenty of good bases at the hidden lake. Amazing place
Love that last one!
I just want to say the 2nd location has t. rexes across the river. So I think I definitely would not start a base there lol.
Thank you!?! Very Very useful
glad it helped :)
One of my favorite youtubers
With the valley the island at the top right is pretty much the best place to tame argies, and you can tame rexes, carnos, raptors, sabertooths, and there's a cave!
Yesterday i found an alpha t rex at the lake you showed as best location lol
Oh shit, someone else mention an alpha raptor..... and here I was planning to take on this location in my next playthrough
I found a pretty good spot right near the center of the map, it is right by the redwoods and swamp so you get access to those creatures but it's kinda far from the snow and the worse threats I've seen are therizinos & raptors
