Theres a curious notion concerning time and our dream state, So speaking from my own experience there is no sense of time in our dream realm we are just suddenly there theres like no beginning nor ending to our dreams, In dreamland we do not have a sense of time its
more like a duration or an interval of time, OUSPENSKY the way we percieve time is
We are always in two places, where ever you may be in the physical realm, the other is mental ln an unknown place, with a sense of motion upon that space, Manly P Hall- "God and time are both servants of Infinity"...thats
deep!! I'll leave you with a proposition formulated by P.D. Ouspensky: "If there is such a thing as an eternity,
then from the stand point of an eternity every moment is eternal". Just wanted to share some ideas concerning time, Thank you for uploading another great talk, I wonder if Allen had any idea how important his work would become in our current distopian era which demands from us a new paradigm shift
    especially with how quickly
A.I. is emerging in all areas of our lives..

Two Mormon young men came to my house and offered me their book. I declined and told them to listen to Alan Watts lectures - What is Reality. And they said they would.

Alan Watts saw the 3 dimensions, past, present, future, witch few of us have the abilities to see. He was also a positive power. Very intriguing 👍✌

The way I ended up thinking about this was to consider that the same way we perceive ourselves moving thru time in only one direction at only one rate, we are also always pulled down by gravity at just one rate. So if I begin moving upwards against gravity, everything is caused to be up where it is by something below it supporting it. I won’t encounter the 20th story of a building without first encountering 19 other stories. But then when i get far enough up I could encounter some space rock that never was on earth and is held up by nothing, circling the earth. And if distance up from the earth is a metaphor for time, then this rock has a source further up still- it is an effect whose cause is in the future.
So I’m not a physicist and I wonder what one would say, but by analogy it would seem that causality is an illusion caused by motion, and when you first blast off that’s fine because everything you encounter is subject to all the same local forces and is moving the same way more or less, but the further out you get and the closer you get to other things, the more likely you are to start encountering things behaving completely different. As I approach another planet I start encountering the tops of buildings before I encounter their bases, and if I’m still thinking relative to my orientation when I blasted off on earth, this whole planet is moving backwards in time, right up until I land and fall to the ceiling and crawl out of my rocket and put my feet on the ground and look around and am in a world with normal gravity again where everything up has something beneath it.

It appears that a portion of this video was filmed at Druid Heights, in Northern California. Druid Heights was, at one point in time, a well known community of artists, philosophers and various other counterculture-minded indidividuals. According to a recent documentary video, the building in which Alan Watts did a portion of this video still stands, as does the very spot where he sat during that portion the video, discussing the concept of reproduction. It's eerily satisfying to see the present day spot, which apparently hasn't changed at all, where Alan sat, philosophizing in a way which I have always found fascinating.
