Vulcano (Aeolian Island) by Drone
Переглядів 75314 днів тому
On June 23, 2024, I explored the southernmost Aeolian Island and namesake of the word volcano, Isola di Vulcano. This island is essentially composed of two stratovolcanoes collapsed into calderas, one of which contains an active cone (La Fossa). There is also a pyroclastic cone called Vulcanello which is connected to the island by lava flows.
Etna Volcano June 2024 - Early Eruptive Activity
Переглядів 9 тис.14 днів тому
In June 2024, I explored the largest active volcano in Europe, Mount Etna, and the area surrounding it. At the time, its Voragine crater was producing small Strombolian-style explosions and spattering. After climbing to the summit area and seeing it with my own eyes, I flew my drone over all four of the summit craters, and then put it close to the erupting vent within Voragine.
Stromboli Volcano by Drone

On June 21, 2024, it was my 20th birthday and I decided to celebrate by flying my drone around Stromboli, the most active volcano in Europe. I started with some wide-angle island scenery before going up to the craters for some eruptions. I’ve been interested in this volcano for the better part of a decade, so to be there for myself and to capture these dramatic shots was a dream come true.
Stromboli Volcano

On June 20, 2024, I traveled to the most active volcano in Europe, Italy’s famous Stromboli, to document the eruptive activity. Multiple vents were producing lava fountains and ash clouds, with occasional distant roars breaking the silence of the night.
2024 STORM CHASING - Tornado, Lightning, Hail and Flood
Переглядів 4,1 тис.Місяць тому
In stark contrast to last year, the 2024 storm season has been largely uneventful for the plains of Colorado and Kansas. I only managed to document one definite tornado, a short-lived landspout on May 29 near Byers, CO. However, I also got to see a lot of severe weather phenomena that I hadn’t seen before, such as a wind-sculpted supercell and a flash flood. The season’s not over just yet, but ...
Tornado near Watkins, Colorado - July 6, 2023
Переглядів 2,6 тис.10 місяців тому
On the afternoon of July 6, 2023, a small cluster of storms rolled off the Rockies toward Denver International Airport. Enhanced convergence due to the Denver cyclone enabled these storm cells to produce at least one landspout tornado, along with multiple large funnel clouds. There were no reports of injuries or property damage.
Tall Colorado Landspout - June 6, 2023
Переглядів 2,4 тис.10 місяців тому
On the evening of June 6, 2023, a highly visible landspout touched down east of Platteville, CO, causing no injuries or damage. At the time, I was about 35 miles to the southeast, just outside the town of Bennett. Anticipating eastward storm movement and subsequent tornado activity, I decided to stay put rather than attempt to get closer; alas, this turned out to be an isolated event.

The number of confirmed tornadoes in Colorado on June 21, 2023 has risen to 37 since the initial publishing of this video. I managed to document four of those tornadoes, two of which were rated EF2.
Wow 😮
Cool Video thank you❤😊
Cool Video thx ❤❤❤😊
2:53 My precious! 🤩
Nice!
🌋🙌
Beautiful footage especially at the 1 m 30 mark above the vent. Looks like the drone had a close call on a couple of occasion!!!
There were definitely some close calls, but the risk was absolutely worth the reward! The shots just wouldn’t be as dramatic if the drone was farther away.
Nice!👌
They are soooooooòo gray going near it
Respect...Mother Nature ❤️🌍❤️🔥🔥🔥
❤❤️🙌🙌🙌
The ban on drone overflights, throughout the entire territory of the Aeolian Islands. Best regards! 🙂
This was filmed before that. Checked all the laws prior to flying.
❤❤❤❤😢😢😢😢😢
Wow i honestly didnt know it has severals craters😮
And these are just the summit craters. Hundreds of smaller ones on its lower slopes!
@@keatonterry thank you
When was the last eruption? Thx! Great pic!
Stromboli erupts multiple times per hour so probably sometime between when you wrote that comment and when I replied!
@@keatonterry I meant previously. Before the start of this recent eruption. Thx!
@@daphnekivinen9482 Stromboli has been in a more or less constant state of eruption for thousands of years. It’s not like Etna where it starts and stops every few months.
@@keatonterry Thank you! I got my answer from the internet. I should have done that in the first place.
😮😮😮
Gorgeous work! Might want to watermark it because material this quality will get stolen!
Oh, it’s not good enough to be worth stealing. 😉 Now some other eruption footage I’ve seen from this week….
Fantastic footage. If I was a major news organization I would license this video for a substantial sum of money.
Hi, very nice video. What kind of drone do you have that can stand still through that wind ? Impressive
Just a DJI Mini 2, quite impressive indeed for such a small drone!
All of these shots were captured on June 21, 2024, two weeks BEFORE the drone ban.

Very nice bro ❤
haha the ring
We were watching this the day before you and I may have even heard you chatting to your friends about flying your drone as you were down near the quayside on Friday morning. Great footage. Amazing to see it so close up. Brilliant camera work.
Was this before or after the jellyfish sting? 😂 glad you like the footage!
Are these people still alive. The eruption i saw yesterday evening was so big.
We were there back on June 17 so everyone is fine.
Always fun to see fountaining lava
Nothing quite like it.
Nice compilation! Especially the landspout and lightning shots!
Beautiful footage!
Thank you!
great job friend
Lightening pics are amazing!
🌪 Wow, what an incredible capture! 📹 Nature's power on full display. 🌈 Amazing footage of the tornado near Watkins, Colorado! 🏞 Mother Earth's majesty is truly awe-inspiring. 🌟
UPDATE: The total number of tornadoes from this storm has gone up to 37. Using my footage, the NWS confirmed a satellite tornado of the EF2 at 5:31 PM. Also, the last tornado in this video was actually an EF2, not an EF0.
Liked and Subscribed. Nice!
Thanks very much! You have some great videos of those tornadoes near Perryton, TX.

Красиво и страшно 👍
Very similar to Waterspouts i see on Lake Erie every fall
Did you by any chance catch the spout fest on October 7?
@keatonterry o yes lol I Seen 55 Waterspout Funnel Clouds and 7 Mature Waterspouts on that day in Fairport Harbor Ohio
@keatonterry I got to Fairport Harbor around 6:50am that Morning I Observe Waterspouts for ICWR buy 7:10 I already had 3 Funnels Clouds the 2 Mature Waterspouts all by 7:26am then by 7:40 it was up to 15 Funnel Clouds and 3 Mature Waterspouts I quit tracking times after that ended with 55 Waterspout Funnel Clouds and 7 Mature Waterspouts by 10am
@keatonterry I've uploaded 6 or 7 videos out of 23 I have so far from the October 7th Outbreak

Good footage but stay safe out there.
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Nice rope tornado at the 41 sec mark. Rope tornadoes are the best ones to film. Last year I recorded a long rope funnel cloud above my parents house but it dissipated as it went over the mountain side. At least mountains are not friendly for tornadoes.
The only two rope tornadoes I’ve seen have been associated with landspouts. Hoping to capture a mesocyclonic rope tornado next season in Colorado 🌪️

Anti-cyclonic tornadoes are rare, usually happens when another storm system is nearby. Great footage though!
Thank you! Yeah, I was kind of in a supercell sandwich when that anticyclonic tornado happened.
@@keatonterry I plan on doing some tornado chasing in the future. I did capture a tornado here in North Carolina 2 years ago as it literally fell in my lap. Last year I captured a rope funnel cloud above my parents house in Pennsylvania but the mountain made it disintegrate.
Nice footage at 5 min 18 sec!
