Turn a Pool Into a Magical Underwater Photo Studio with PavoTube X

When you see a regular swimming pool, most people don’t say, “Hey, that’s a great portrait studio!” But they would be wrong. Brett Stanley, a professional underwater photographer and cinematographer based in Los Angeles, California, explains how an average inground swimming pool can be transformed into a stunning portrait photography studio for underwater photography, using black fabric, a black tarp, and a few Nanlite LED lights.
Brett uses a powerful Nanlite Forza 720B as his above-the-surface backlight, but the video focuses on using the PavoTube II 30X LED Pixel Tubes in their underwater housings. He also puts the compact, affordable, and key-light capable PavoTube II 6C to good use as well in its separately available waterproof bag. Never underestimate mundane surroundings. With some creative thinking, you can uncover some true magic.
