Great engine sound from the MT09, seems to handle well too. However you make many maneuvers that are really dangerous (like overtaking a car on the left when it's already indicating to turn left). This is the kind of overtaking that can land you in hospital. Take care and ride defensively, you'll live longer. All the best, Rob. 43 years on bikes and still alive.
if you noticed, that car was waiting for other car and a moped on the left to pass before changing lane. i just squeeze in with the moped. Nevertheless you're right, should've ride more defensively. Anyhow, thanks for watching Rob.

You ride really well. Swift and apt, very feedforward sighting and it shows that you know the road well, including sectors that are bad and where are the areas you can full throttle. I enjoyed ur video thoroughly. cheers

@@zulchemical yeah, but direct access to the office space, not to the mall. However during MCO, only few entry points are open.
Almost every Asian mall has it.
In Thailand there Are even parking lots only for high cc bikes.
After few accidents on a bike, your video gives me chills down my spine, I mean I saw few potential crash possibilities... Do not trust cagers, with this style of riding its highly possible to crash!
I got 2021MT-09 and sound with original muffler is also very nice, but this is even better. Also nice riding, we got winter here now, so it is fine to watch some riding :)

If you want more sound i would recommend the MIVV GP Pro Carbon exhaust system.
I have got my exhause 2 weeks ago. It is streetlegal and has a very nice aggressive sound.

I have a 2019 09 and the original muffler was terrible! It made the bike sound like a car from The Jetsons. I swapped it out for a short carbon one from Black Widow and it was the 2nd best mod I've done for the bike after the tune. It has a waaaay better sound now and is pretty loud.
Yamaha's CP3 engine is a really cool engine, both power wise and sound wise. Too bad yamaha decided to make a "R7" and not a new "R9" with MT09's engine

@@UpshiftNL He probably does that because he wants those pops/bangs from the exhaust when he shifts. That doesn't happen normally when using the quickshifter. Makes absolutely no sense but I guess he likes the popping sounds...

I feel like I want to get an MT09 but watching ride vids like this makes me realise it might be a little too slow. This is coming from experience riding a 2010 R1, which I at many times changed into 2nd gear at 130kmh++. 3rd gear could already get me to 200kmh. Sold that bike after riding it for 8 years. Wonder if getting the MT09 can cure that need for speed.
acceleration wise 0-140-ish this bike could match a litre sport bike, but after that speed...nope

When upshifting you don’t have to let off the throttle with a quick shifter. Bike sounds amazing!
Is hard as fuck to lose muscle memory, my bike doesn't have it and i do it every time i drive one with quick shifter even if i know i shouldn't
mt09 doesnt have quickshifter i think unless he has installed one
he's not letting off. quickshifter cuts the ignition and if you blip the throttle while quickshifter cuts the ignition, blip gives the engine unburnt fuel so when the shift done the bike makes that popping sound.
@ He did let off the throttle even when using the quickshifter. Must be a habit. 10:33 onwards you can watch his right hand on the throttle 'blipping' it.
