Found your video and finally got the courage to cut up the yucca I got from my parents years ago. It was a split stem that grew to about 2 meters high, so it wasn't really a nice sight to behold. I wasn't aware of the things one could do with a yucca. After seeing your video's I cut off the 2 tops, cut the rest into smaller stems and got 2 new plants, 8 stems and a few 'pups' growing now. Thanks for your tips! They really gave me a feeling of having a green thumb.
Hey, I cut up one of my yuccas a month ago. Planted the tops directly into soil and they have rooted beautifully already! The stems that I cut into pieces and put into water have all rotted though... do you have any tips? You have such beautiful results 😃 They were not as „woody“ yet as the stems you had, they were only like 1.5cm thick. Maybe that‘s why it didn‘t work...?
Have first yucca, brought summer of 2022 was growing indoors for winter under grow light. All leaves turning yellow now, think I have root rot do I cut stalk black at the base but not soft.
Very informative video! Do you have any experience with Darcanea Marginita ? Mine is damaged by wind and hail but haven’t died so far. I have put it outside in partial shade. We are in zone 9. Thank you ❤
how about this? I LOVE YUCCAS BUT DONT YOU DARE CALL ME A YUCCA! I'M A DRACAENA AKA MADAGASCAR DRAGON TREE PHILA TV! ua-cam.com/video/1hmTvKBNIBg/v-deo.html

Okay, I have cut my yucca. I have some in water and some straight into soil. The tops are looking very dried out, I wish I could attach a picture. I just don't know if this normal!

I tried this methode to propagate my yuccas, but it was died, i think change water is important factor to succeed propagate any plants
Do you have a video of what you did with the heads?
So helpful thank you
Awesome! This is what I was asking about on your other video...from stalks. I love that you propagated using water. Thanks for this video!!
Thank you. I was hoping you would see this. Thanks for watching
Keep watching I've got plenty more to come . I LOVE YUCCAS
Thank you that was really helpful.😊
I love Yoccas too..
Awesome video thanks.
I'm going to try this with mine soon
Going good 3 stumps in water
1 has a lot of shoots
Another has a couple starting to come through
Last one nothing yet
Been about a month now
WOW is this Yucca on steroids.... never seen soooo many new shoots on a plant
Can we also use rooting powder to make the roots sprouts?
Are the plants hardy outdoor yuccas or tropical indoor dracaenas?
Amazing. Thank you

I though you needed to let them dry out and calcify first like a succulent b 4 planting them or growing leaves
Do you let them callous over before putting them in water?
Accidently watching this Aug 27 2021, how are they going 1 year later?
They are doing great I posted a video the other day and it show their progress
Thanks for watching

Thank you I was wondering about that
When can you do this? Can this be done in winter as well? I tried with cutting a small Piece butt i failed. I wanna try the stem now.
they should grow year round as long as it’s not to cold. if it is just add some warm water every day
@@philatv thankyou
Whole winter no progress just summer hits in leaf growing everyday
@@drdemon6914 some times it helps to add a little warm water ones in a while
What would have happened if you had added some miracle gro into the water?
Love the enthusiasm and great info but it's hard to watch with you hand holding the camera.
Facts! He lives it!
Someone just gave me a piece of their giant one!
What did you do with the upper part?
I have had good luck just sticking a pup in the dirt and watering it - do you think that’d work with stalks like this? Or should I use water?
Sure you can put them right In the dirt and try to keep them wet.
I live in southern California and sometimes it's too hot to start them in dirt
Is there any sunlight in your nursery? I can't tell from the video.
I was wondering that too.
Can you put the stumps straight into ground ?
Yes that is that way I have done it all my life. This year was the first time i tried it in water
can I water propagate my yucca that has leaves on it or will this only work with just stem
You can do it it water now im starting to think it works better than dirt..
My yucca will not grow all the leaves have turned yellow and brown and dropped off. I am ready to throw it in the trash.
You might be watering it too much, that is the usual mistake with these.
Roots aren't coming out even after a year
Did you change the water?
