I have heard from F-22 pilots that when strong G-forces are reached this Jets controls does not "shimmy or shake" at all. They say it's like a Cadillac in handling at high speeds and at max turning.

@@alanarmitage6706 It's because the USAF is working on the NGAD fighter, and plus it's very expensive to maintain the F22. It costs around $70,000 for every flight hour. Oh, and you mentioned the f35. So the reason to why the USAF is phasing out the f22 is because the f35 is seen as more reliable and costs less to maintain and the flight hour is also cheaper.

The F35, that has a habit of crashing, is the new king. The next gen Fighter Jet will have the same habit as the F35, cost a lot of Mulah and have issues. Good thing the US has unlimited funding for Multi Billion $$$ projects.

Believe it or not, close combat is very dangerous when an F-22 meets an SU-35. The Su-35 has many chances to win. check that

Believe it or not 5th gen fighters like the F-22 and F-35 have made dogfights a thing of the past. The F-22 would blow any Russian jet out of the sky BVR before the SU even knew it was there.

Are F-22 pilots equipped with JHMCS now? There was some news of them testing it but I am unsure if it was implemented.
I know congress approved the funds already. Many of the upgrades are top secret on this jet, but I heard the new helmets and upgrades and new weapons and cyber warfare upgrades are going in now.
I’ll bet the department of defense wished they would’ve built all 600 originally planned airframes today instead of only building 187 airframes. I know we sure could use them today.

The pratt&whitney F-100-119 turbo fan engines are rated at 70,000lbs of thrust useing only 40% percent more thrust than our F-15C eagles pratt&whitney F-100-220 turbo fan engines producing 58,000lbs of thrust but the F-15C eagle has a higher power to weight ratio than the F-22A raptor

The Raptor doesn’t appear to be 6 stories long to me.
Planes, en route, could drop food supplies on certain locations where food is almost impossible to reach for animals. Keeps alive and brings more animals. Wilderness restored.
Also on sea. Anker to drag down.
Doesn't need to be too much or alot. Alternate locations often.
Jets could have a "I'm going to take some risks. Autopilot takes over if I pass out & takes me back", feature button.
Different weight ankers for different depths.

Yup but the 22s are still the very sharp tip of the spear. The Raptors will always be outnumbered but never out gunned in this generation. Especially with all the new upgrades in 2023 and 2024. Some say the RCS of the new F-22s is a hundredth size of a marble. If that's true these thing could potentially fly anywhere in world completely undetected. F-35s RCS can't come close to that. U.S. will never sell 22s, these jets are America's little doomsday secrets. If a target detects an F-22, something went terribly wrong. 35s are close but they aren't no Raptor.
This is one plane I don't want to come and looking for me 😱😱😱it would not be good!

That was DUMB! Both the 22 and 35 should have the SAME air refueling capabilities!!! One needs a DROUG shoot and the other needs a hard point fueling with fins to guide it! Come on guys!!

economy , this f22 program was very expensive the units they produced are still eating alot of $$$
Because it was an extremely expensive aircraft, that was so far ahead of it's time that it didn't even have an enemy to be pit against yet, at a time when we'd been at war for years and the debt was ballooning as much as always. It was simply too expensive of a jet to build, operate and maintain when the the majority of jobs available for a fighter jet to do, could be done by something cheaper.
@redrolo149 also they didn't retire the existing fleet of f 15 and f 16 to make room for more 5 th gen fighters in the fleet as you mentioned there was no threat at that time but now its different

Did u forget to mention that the F-22 lacks infra-red weapons guidance? (HUGE) And it also lacks tactical helmut display for the pilot? (also HUGE). You're really not telling the whole story of both the F-22 and F-35.
