As someone who has been working in the transcription field for multiple years, pass on agencies who would have you edit AI generated output, especially if you are quick. It takes much longer than transcribing from scratch and will reduce your achievable hourly wage by about 30 - 50%.
What an AMAZING video! Thank you so much for this. I'm not personally looking for such jobs (old retired guy) but I do volunteer counseling for HS students and some underemployed people and I will DEFINITELY investigate all 12 and pass the info along as appropriate. OUTSTANDING!
Transcription is NOT easy at all. Most audios you get have difficult to understand accents, bad quality audio, background noise, etc and you're usually on a time limit to get it right.
Awesome job Justin! 🎉I appreciate your hard work. 💯🙌 ESPECIALLY since most of these jobs you just discussed are worldwide or at least in Canada and the US! I can’t wait to check out a few of these jobs. Cheers.
hey man,. I've been watching your videos for a while now but i noticed that most of the companies i try to apply into don't accept people outside of the US or EUROPE. i currently live in Algeria and i would really appreciate it if you could guide me and people like me who want to make a career out of remote work.
Very good Job Justin gonna check it out...keep up the good work....I did QA in Teleperformace USA Salt Lake City you listen to recorded Calls but in high speed...so you basically listen to a whole call in like a minute and 30 seconds
I am getting tired of this channel and all of them just like it.....he's not giving you any information you couldn't get yourself. Stop reading their website and actually do it! Sign up and try it and then come back with a review. All you are doing is reading their bs. Not just you but everyone in this genre trying to create a UA-cam channel.
Thank you for being a reason of voice FINALLY AN UNPAID COMMENT UGH 😩 SO WITH YOU ON THIS we should start our own "authentic" experience of wfh or a satire comedy channel of our experiences would be the next ROCK STAR VIRAL YT CHANNEL HUH?
As a 20-yr editor who has spent countless hours trying to decipher what's behind a mistake, I'd be willing to bet "p/ " means simply "per" because they don't realize "/" already means per, and p means nothing (that I know of, maybe it's British, don't think so).
Also, for Daily Transcription, AI Editor, for example, when it says "$60 - $90 p/hour of material, I think that must mean, for example, if you work on a two-hour movie, you get $120 - $180, REGARDLESS how long it takes you (and you can be sure it will take more than 2 hours).
Yes, it does. Most jobs that involve interacting with customers directly qualify as customer service. (I'm a customer service and tech support specialist.)
Almost 300,000 subscribers and over 3k videos and averaging $30 a day monetized revenue? UA-cam should start regulating the bait-and-switch clan like they do free speech! Thumbnails rule! Good grief people build an email list, attract buyers on Pinterest with visuals, and market multiple streams with affiliate links and merch if applicable. BTW, the reason you can't understand the language, some third-world VA is a middleman for an end user in America. Cheeses!
I wouldn't imagine, I am a contractor for a design and engineering company. The only thing I had to do was sign up with the contract holder with a w9 form which means I take care of my taxes. If you start a stand alone business you need a doing business as dba at you local county and your ss number or if you want to go all out get a ein from the irs and a llc.
@johnmcgraw3568 ok i didnt know you could do that without a llc or sole proprietor. Yea a w9 is the form you fill out but you would get a 1099 at the end of the year but i didnt know you could get a 1099 without a business structure. Thank you for the response i appreciate that!
@@beccaboo9960 In some states you don't need any kind of license. In North Carolina you can start a business without any sort of paperwork, but you don't get the legal protections that can come with setting up an LLC or something like that.
No, you definitely do not need a license to be an independent contractor. Both your W-9 and your 1099 will contain your SS number. If you would prefer NOT to use your SS#, you have the option of starting a registered business and using the EIN # that's designated for that business.

Just curious, but how do these jobs track your time? Do they have to install something on your computer or something else?

I worked as a courteous clerk for several stores, would that also count as customer service experience?
Yes, it does. Most jobs that involve interacting with customers directly qualify as customer service. (I'm a customer service and tech support specialist.)
