Student Excursion to Wind Farm near Tengen (GER) and Hydropower Plant in Schaffhausen (CH)

In October 2017, students from the University of St.Gallen visited the wind farm ‘Verenafohren’ near Tengen (district of Konstanz, Germany). Since June 2017, the wind farm produces electricity for ca. 20,000 people per year (www.verenafohre...). The students were introduced into the project by Hagen Pöhnert (CEO, SH Power) and Marian Schreier (Mayor of Tengen). Next, they visited the hydropower plant in Schaffhausen, which is operated by SH Power (de.wikipedia.o.... In Schaffhausen, the students received further information on current wind projects by Patrick Schenk (Regional Development Canton of Schaffhausen).
