I have one. It is a great firearm. Extremely low recoil, so it’s easy to stay on target. My suppressor makes it great to shoot without hearing protection.
I have this carbine. Nice flat trajectory out to 100 yards and in my experience this round can drop a big pig as fast as any .223 I've used, and it's very accurate and satisfying for double and triple taps due to the very little 22LR like kick it has. My wife still thinks it's heavy but once she held some that were heavy she said she'd prefer this one since it is the lighter one for weight. I think it's a fine rifle. I want the pistol now since they use the same mag.
GearTester, thanks for this video. I think there are many uses for this Carbine where it would be preferable over an AR-15, especially for small game and varmints, and for use by adolescents and women. I imagine my wife would be able to handle this better than she could an 7-9lb rifle. When I have the extra money I might grab one for myself! Looking forward to your range test!
This gun has more in common with blowback operated guns like the Hipoint Carbine or Ruger's own PC carbine than the AR. It is more of a PDW for me, not a fighting rifle. Thanks for your review, I am glad you were able to find and report how you find it a useful firearm.
THANK YOU for the size comparison. I was stoked you got out a tape-measure (I was literally about to request that, but decided to keep watching...glad I did). I've been wondering how long it is, as it seems it would be a lot shorter. Small size and less recoil make a lot of sense for an easy to carry gun. I like the DBX, but it needs to take Ruger/Rock mags and the barrel length means it would need to be SBR'd now with the new BS laws.
No sir it's NOT a short barrel rifle! He says it's has a 16 inch barrel and another video says 16 and a half inch barrel but either way 16 inch barrel is considered a rifle. I'm sorry and ashamed of myself cause I have one and can't remember what length barrel it has.
@@Tommy-rr7ez Yep. It's a 16.25" on the Carbine, and 10.25" on the LC Charger 57....I was going to get a Carbine, cut the barrel, and get it SBR'd...however, I figured a Charger would come out. I've since gotten a Charger and did indeed SBR it so I can have a stock and VFG.
@@joeflowers9084 Good deal buddy! Thanks for straighting me out on barrel. I don't know much bout the Charger but I use my carbine for Coyotes and what I've heard it's knock down distance is bout 220 yards and where I live I can live with that. I just watched another video on the carbine and somebody in comments said they got the Charger and they are shooting out to 200 yards and love it.
I've asked Ruger to make the SLSC(super light, super compact) cheek pistol. Take the carbine and remove the stock, keep the pic mount for a cheek pad, cut the barrel down to 9-1 inches along with the handguard to just enough. Register it as a pistol. Dump the pop-up sights. Offer a red dot option. They said the suggestion was passed to the marketing department.
The trigger is weird. A hybrid of a glock trigger with the center rotating safety paddle and a mil spec ar15 trigger. It has an unusual feel. Its unique. However, I get good groups at 100 yards with the gun.
A AR mags is on front of trigger and this carbine mag is in the pistol handle. With mag on pistol grip it moves the barrel back towards the rear and makes it shorter.
I'm glad the 5.7 has some cool pistols and carbines. However the cost of the 5.7 is just too expensive I ve to shoot more than once in a while. I just can't enjoy a buck a pop. My goodness even more. No ill stay with 9mm
Tactical rayın üzerine tripod koysaydın, daha rahat hedefi görürdün, biraz alçak olmuş aimpoint😅😅😅 o silahla 400-500 metreye atış yapmak istiyor sanırım, küçük sniper aferin sana 🤦

I think that you are correct. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment!
I agree, it's definitely more of a PDW than it is a fighting rifle! NO ONE is going to war with a weapon chambered in 5.7x28!
Great video , THANKS
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for the positive review bud that was great.

I look forward to a 30rd mag. I know some are running the PSA ROCK mag (23) with a +7 mag extension, and it seems to be working.

What's the inner diameter of the hand guard? 😅😅😅
New dream gun!
Did you get the squirrel mounted, nice wall hanger...

Good info.
No mention of the trigger, see a lot of complaints about it.

Cool carbine. Other reviews say that it's not accurate.
Where can I get that forward grip??
The short tan one is a magpul one I purchased a long time ago and then cut it down. The longer black one is a daniel defense vertical grip.
Question, how can this carbine be shorter than standard ar15 an not sold as sbr.?. im considering this carbine over my ar pistol since the brace ban
Light and compact. It would fit my pack, just not sure on the legal side of it
Barrel recesses farther back. Bullpups are even shorter

@@woodlandreconjoshdrakes5509It has a 16 inch barrel which makes it a rifle. Any thing shorter than 16 inch barrel makes it a pistol.

Can u fire it with stock folded.
Yes, you can fire the weapon with the stock folded.
Hmmmmm interesting
All day long! Stock has nothing to do with the firing.
how did you zero it?
Normal procedure at 100 yards.
Where part 2?

Nothing comes close to the fn p90
