I am an RN - of many years. Please just make an appointment to see your cardiologist and do whatever the MD advises you to do. Please do not self treat. Follow sound medical advice. Trust in God and all will be well!

lol. Most doctors today are not up to date with ANYTHING. ALL they ever learned was how to treat diseases with man made medications. Big pharma and doctors need sick people . A patient healed is a patient lost. Go to the farmacy, not pharmacy. Yes, sometimes pharmaceuticals are needed….like antibiotics.

You are so beautiful I can’t believe you’re 81. It’s your mental outlook that gives you such a glow.
I just love your videos and I always wish they were longer. You don’t ever have to apologize for anything because we always love seeing you.
I love lil’ Millie, she is so lucky she has a loving home.
You were so kind as to make your sick neighbors some soup, that was so sweet of you.
Thank you for your prayer I really need it as I’m dealing with real bad anxiety and my heart is racing so what you said in the beginning of your video about turning it over to GOD. I’m working on that.
I always admire your strength and your attitude, I strive to be more like that.
Loving thoughts and prayers to you and Mr Bill … ♥️ also sweet Millie. xo

I have been with my cardiologist for yrs for preventive measures. Please speak to your cardiologist ASAP because of your stent not to long ago. Your blood pressure is extremely high and the redness on your face could be your blood pressure. At the advise of my cardiologist he always advised me if I felt I needed a supplement to ask him first. He stated that with a supplement it might not mingle with other medications that your taking. These day you have to be a strong advocate with doctors, nurses, PA’s, etc. but again speak directly with your cardiologist only. I hope everything is well. God Bless you and yours.

Sandra, I have been struggling with high blood pressure since I was 26 and weighed 120 lbs. It is mostly genetic because it runs in my family. I had a very scary 200/100 reading. I do suffer with anxiety, also genetic, and because of that readings in the Dr. Office are always higher than I get at home. I am on 4 different meds for it, and I am happy with 130’s/80. The best home monitors are erratic and readings vary wildly from day to day. My best recommendation is to write down your highest and your lowest and toss those out and then take an average of the rest. It is a problem that I have to manage for the rest of my life - so you are not alone! Best wishes! 🙋‍♀️🥰💕‼️

PS. Sandra, be sure to request both Magnesium & Potassium doses from your physician. Most patients do not have low Potassium issues unless they have kidney disease or are on diuretics. (Commonly called "water pills"). Magnesium is rarely overdosed but taking extra Potassium can be harmful. Please, be careful, Sandra. I'm sure your Doc will run electrolyte blood panels to check. With all the medical things you have gone through in the past year, it seems like they would have told you if you need these electrolytes supplemented, most especially, your Cardiologist. Those guys Always check electrolyte results. ❤️✝️

I just wanted to say that I had a stent put in my heart almost two years ago and my doctor told me to not let my blood pressure go over 140 on the top since then. Be careful. That is very high and dangerously so. I know you are watching it. I am 80 now and I think you are right about the check engine light coming on.

You mentioned Parmesan cheese … cheese is high in salt, which causes high blood pressure. Some soups are high in salt. Consider what you eat. Writing down everything you eat can help you see what might have high sodium content.

Hi Sandra, I had a very similar thing happen with my blood pressure about 1 month ago. I ended up in ER with 200/104. They checked everything out. I had a CT scan, blood work, EKG and complete physical exam. They could not find anything wrong. I was given blood pressure tablets (atenolol and lisinopril). After tweaking the dosage some and time of day that I take them, things have improved. My face was also flushed. Your video was a reminder that I am not alone. Like you, I depend on the Lord for each event that comes my way. You might try sparkling water as a regular water alternative. The Kirkland brand sparkling water (cans) are delicious. This is so funny you said that about turning 80 and your engine light went on. I turned 73 this past November and I was thinking about my 80s even though I take it a day at a time with the Lord. I feel exactly like you ❤I think that’s when things start happening but the Lord is always with us, and He gets us through everything. But God! Where would we be without Him? I gave up salt and I drink eight glasses of water a day, watch what I eat, and my blood pressure went down 20 points. I do agree with the other subscriber that said those home blood pressure machines are erratic you take the highest and the lowest, my daughter is a nurse, so I’m right on point she takes it the old school way without the machine❤ may God bless you and guide you. I pray that your blood pressure stays at a normal level. I do the same thing I replace my washer and my dryer. I have a Samsung front loader and mine is 7 years old working fine no issues at all. Sandra,
I will be 81 in April and have had high blood pressure in the past.
It's very important to find the cause & not just treat the symptoms.
I believe one of my main causes was being dehydrated. I now set my Fitbit for 1 hour intervals to make sure I get 6-8 8oz. glasses of water by 8:00 p.m. daily.
I have never liked drinking water, so it took a while for me to adjust to that regiment. I like Dr. Berg also, but be very careful about taking supplements. Do your own research and consult with your doctor. ❤

Chamomile tea can help, I drink 2 cups a day of organic chamomile tea but check with your doctor as to the medications you are taking. Also, ground flaxseed can help but you need to buy whole ones and run them through a grinder or high powered blender. I add 1 tbsp a day to applesauce. Check with your doctor or pharmacist as I don't know if there are interactions with medications... Yes, staying hydrated helps and also walking 25 minutes a day which I try to do on my treadmill daily...

Hi Sandra. I hav been trying to9 go whole food plant based for years but can never quite cross over from no milk or dairy. this past week I went full on WFPB and my blood pressure was 112/81 when I took it after less than a week which is really Good for me (there was a time last year it hit 180/104 which scared me) from all the research I have done whole food plant based is the best to prevent heart disease. I lost a father and brother to heart attacks and my sister. has had two heart attacks already so I figured I needed to take my health in hand i'm 72 , I laughed when you said your engine light came on at 80. I felt like mine did that at 70. thanks for sharing and all the best to you and mr Bill

I tried that blood pressure medication and it made me cough and caused my neck and throat to swell up and never brought my blood pressure down ever. I tried lower doses and it just didn't get better. Other medications like a diuretic and it only raised my pressure higher and gave me migraine. I will never get a pill to help me. My blood pressure runs around 150/74 and higher sometimes. Getting older has its problems but I keep busy on my dressmaking and exercise walking every day. Hope your health keeps you strong and comfortable. I pray that for myself everyday. 😊

@@Sandrabrownhappinesspast60 Yes,medication and I don't mix...I could never be a drug abuser and that's a good thing! I could never understand how people do drugs these days. So many people have been lost because of it. My Mom had a stroke from taking meds the doctor gave her that interacted and it left her with dementia until her passing at 88. She forgot she used to drink coffee and never crocheted or sewed again and she was always making something. She spent her last days in Hospice which was better than being home alone like she was with no one to care for her. I talked to her 2 weeks on the phone before she passed and she talked to me like her old self again. Amazing, my cat started acting like herself again 2 weeks before she passed too. 😂

Sandra, I have been meaning to ask you, hope you don't mind, but why do you call your husband....
      Mr. Bill???
      Just wondering.
You may need a sodium tablet. Check your blood lab report, I always get my reports because I have had hyponatremia which dehydration and low electrolytes and sodium, surprising..yes...some people need extra sodium helps to lower bp. Also doctor recommended Pedialyte Powders as needed. Take care.

Sandra.....I would advise you to go to ER if your blood pressure shoots up too high again because it puts you at risk of having a stroke. Over the past couple of years, I have had to go to ER when my blood pressure shoots too high. The first time ER put me on Clonidine to bring down the systolic. The Clonidine is used only when your systolic shoots too high. It is not to be used all the time. Your doctor will explain this to you. As we get older our blood vessels are not as pliable the cardiologist told me a week ago. I am on different medicine than you are so my advise is to go to your cardiologist so they can adjust your medicine. May God always bless you !!
