First StoryCorps that didn't make me cry.

+Olivia Garry What one is that? I wanna see it. Thx
phx2ewr Mis divine
Nick Zamora Perfect Union made you cry?
nope still cried
I... I wanna be a writer. This is all just amazing and I couldn’t wish for something by that’d be more fulfilling than contributing to the very sentiment of this man and his channel. I’m inspired.
This hits a chord for me. We did a recording of my grandmother's uncle when we were fourth graders, to get some family history for a school project. It was fascinating. I, like Mr Isay, have always loved listening to the stories of older folks (side product of being raised around my grandparents perhaps.) I'll always remember Uncle Paul and I wish I still had that tape. He passed away while I was in high school and his daughter came up to tell us how much that interview had meant to him and that he'd thought of me like a grandchild.
What’s the name of the storycorp
I’m am willing to break into that home and find the tape recorder and leave it at his desk with a note saying your welcome
This is the most wholesome channel on this platform
i really need to take his advice to heart. i can get so jaded with the world to the point where the last thing i wanna do is listen to people. but that's not exactly a great way of living.
+canihelpyou Truly! Life can be exhausting, and even people talking can be tiring. But in all honesty, if you just take a little time out of your day to sit and listen to someone else, not only does it enrich your view on the world but it gives the other person a moment of comfort knowing someone is willing to listen.
Love the animation style :)
+Gonzalo Guzmán Caamaño Couldn't agree more, unlike "Traffic Stop". Don't get me wrong, the story itself was filled with enough detail that required a different style of animation (I honestly couldn't imagine the usual animation with it). I mostly prefer this type of animation over ones where is looks almost real.
I love the fact they made some of there nose's a foot long
I mean, this video is on vivziepop’s channel as in ‘videos i helped with’ and it looks a bit like her art style so I think she made the animation for them.
oh same here !
Hello, my name is Joseph and I just want to say thanks for the good thing you guys are doing making all these stores for people, because you don't know if someone is going throw something and need to let it out so I just wanted a shout out to thank you guys for putting so much life back in the world. I myself love to hear about old story's and adventures people had and thanks to you I can see so much thing and learn more lessons from these people and I hope one day it may change someones life just by hear these words, the words of people who deserve to be know and to be living on with us. Also i do hope that he does find that tape and can be able to hear their voices again. And god bless you for doing to for people. Thank You.
I really love this channels art style.
ever since i've started watching these, i've always wanted to go out and make my own.
especially since my parents are getting older, i keep thinking about how much more important it is to take down this time with them...i keep putting it off and putting it off and i just hope one day i'm not too late....
Do it today! Or plan a day to do with them, so you will never forget or leave it for later 🌞
I hope the story of the American lives that recorded can be celebrated and reviewed for out eternity may God bless the stories all of them
Seriously, this is THE MOST underrated animation channel.
This is my favorite animation channel and I really hope people would give Storycorps the attention they deserve ~♥
I hope you find your tape I've lost similar important things and it's always hurt me little every time I spend hours with no luck finding anything 😔
Same my grandpa spend his entire time to look for my great grandpa's (aka my grandpa's dad), diary which held the stories when he was in world war 2 as a Japanese army men and I think he said that he joined the American army because he hated the things we/Nazi's did to the Jews however I don't know if that is true because my grandpa has dementia
Thank you Story Corp. I love the idea and the effort made to get these stories preserved, from Studs Terkel to Charles Kuralt love this forum.
The advice Dave Isay gave were really beautiful!❤
I always loved talking to my great grandmother before she passed. She was a wonderful person full of comedy and stories.
Me and my daughter did an amazing interview with storycorp. great job with this video.
I’ve found that I’ve started to like storycorps more than storybooth. More heartfelt, less teenager, horror, and depression stories. Mean more, more happy, better animated
Very late but are they of the same people of storycorps.
Very interesting. Even on the PBS NewsHour are available regularly some segments from StoryCorps. #PBSNEWS
UP with humanity!
I feel quite lucky to have found you -- and clever too.
Thanks!!!!!
the show is wonderful. It has a very human quality I like. It would get a lot more exposure if it wasn't limited to Public TV stations like it is in my area.
Wow this is powerful and I got a lot of insight listening and watching.
I love StoryCorps!
Ronald McNair is why I'm here. And more stories of WWII verterans, Korea, Vietnam would be nice.
the animation style is just beautiful
Oh, gee... mr Isay, I hope you have found this tape. If you haven't yet, well, I hope you will.
This video made my day! 🌺🎈
So did Vivziepop make this animation because it is in her cool stuff I helped with playlist
Shadow The Light Yes
Shadow Hikari ew gross a Furfag
blue come on man not on a video like this
blue I don’t think she’s a furry. I just think she likes drawing animals over humans
ShadowTheLight when you find another person who likes Vivziepop too
Come for the stories. Stay for the animation.
Amazing
This is great!
Awesome work
this is awesome
I hope I get a chance to go to one of those booths
I see Fantasia Rhapsody Blue references everywhere and I love it
I’m watching this for a school project lol
Make this your entire art style
I wish they made more animated storycorps
Wow so amzing😢
I want to learn more. What time and day are you on NPR?
Yes❤
Well there's always a begining to every story... Even the book will have another story inside it
Love it but when are we going to get new story's
Did Vivzie make the animation?
+Snowy Wolf yes, she has it in one of her channel playlists as stuff she helped with :3
I swear to god if that tape isn't found, I will never be happy again.
That's just great. Now I need to go find someway to resurrect a raptor and fight it to the death to make up for tearing up to another StoryCorps segment.
Bastards...
Dude just ask your parents friends siblings relatives or teachers about their lives then if it's cool your done
And don't forget to do it with the StoryCorps app! There's a good chance others of us out here would be interested in hearing their stories as well :)
I should interview my parents
Vary nice video
I wanna get my Dad interviewed, I’m his SON and I dont know shit about him, his life is rather vague for me
Pause at 2:04, you're welcome

You found that tape yet?
story's nice but feels scripted

Nah none of its scripted people come to story corps to share their stories
Here for school
you can find it one day bro
I bet his nephew turns out just like him.
I wonder if that record tape will ever show up? it would be like a missing piece of history.
I am same but to first question what’s your favourite food who’m do like in your family cartoon. Lol 😆😆😆😆
This was for my school💀
nice
The old guy on the barstool next to mine
Why does the thumbnail look like Oklahoma ? Where I live
How would I get a story told
The first time I watched this animation, I noticed how unnecessarily frequently Mr. Isay blinked. And it's not just the frequent blinking, it's the fact that he's doing it for extended periods of time, sometimes for a duration of more than a second. No offense to the animator, it's just absurd.
0:25
haha get it a trash dove meme i want to die
this channel does not get enough attention.
Fbi: "raids his house to find the tape"
I’m at school
yoink.
"Really? That's it?" - Oh, so it's a scripted video after all.
That said, great clip, what was said is true and many people don't notice these things in their busy lives.
not scripted, but produced --- meaning excerpts of a natural conversation are arranged for the greatest impact.
Oh, that's why this sounded so scripted, it's literally made by the founder
It makes so much more sense now
✌😸✌
