Just recently discovered this beautiful hymn sung by a Welsh female singer Ceri Haf Roberts at a concert by the Melbourne Welsh Male choir. I was touched by its beauty and have since heard versions by Rhys Meirion, Bryn Terfel, Lisa Angharad and the choirs above. The song is a real treasure.
Only found this song after watching The Piano, on Channel 4 last night. Being sung by such a wonderful choir, is just as so beautiful. Thanks for posting.
A Welsh Choir has that way of tugging on the heartstrings. I live in country Victoria Australia but try to attend at least one concert a year. They give such a lift to the spirit.
Still have to pinch myself that I was on stage singing this beautiful song as part of Alcester Male Voice Choir. Awesome personal achievement for myself and everyone involved in this magical evening
Yes I saw this and lived it. Will save it to show my Mum who is 92 years old and Welsh but has lived in Liverpool since she got married at 18. She talks about her Welsh roots all the time.

Please listen to Sara Davis's Version ...
(A delightful "up-tempo" Arrangement)
Her suggestion for an Addition to the Eurovision Song Contest

Anfonaf Angel means ' I will send an angel'.
I'm probably not getting the point of this song, but it helps with stress so much
