- Check out the power on this sub. One of my best tests to date. Thank you for subscribing.@meade916 @ParkerTheBasshead @wal @EXOcontralto @JacobViral @BigJeffAudio @HifiVega @HiFiVector
I've been running 2 ri audio 12's for 6 months and I have to say I'm extremely satisfied
I wish I got one of the first series. I looked at them since the day they came out. Now all I can find is the 8 inch subs left, which still look pretty nice. This one dropped and I did not wait. Maybe they'll come out with some more and I'll grab one of the other series. Thank you for your comment.
@@SubzPawz I'm sure they will have more. They'll take a beating and very clean sounding.
Great video
Was looking at the 12's also.. sold out everywhere. Hoping they bring them back soon
@@SubzPawzwhich would you rather have in 15”? This RI or Skar ddx?
@@theurbanartist775 probably the RI.
There is no comparison between this and the EVL. This sub is hands down a much better option over the EVL. Cool video
The comparison I was referring to is the general idea and look of the sub. Having demoed the EVL and this new RI Audio sub, there is no sound comparison I would agree there. Power wise also. This sub is in a league of it's own. Millions of people have seen the EVL which is why I mentioned it and the fact it has a spoke basket. Thanks for your comment 😊
@@SubzPawz just stating this sub out shines the EVL... meaning there was no comparison lol.
I think I might buy the EVL 15 just to put them side by side. The basket is the same, the VC is very similar, paper cone, double stitched, poly dust cap, foam surround, and I can guarantee it takes power.@@Chuck_Sanders
@@SubzPawz the EVL is very inefficient, and it's not a good driver overall, if you understand ts parameters it makes sense as to why. The RI has a larger motor, more efficient, better sensitivity and greater motor force.
I get that, I had a 12 and was very disappointed in it, it did not perform as I thought it would or sound like it looked like it should. I was mentioning something that millions of people can relate to, the look, etc. I could have said the DC audio LVL 2, but not as many people know the brand.@@Chuck_Sanders
Wow, that is one beautiful sub, and the power it took, wow again. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your complement and for your comment 😊
Bad ass sub john
Yeah it is. I ran out of time yesterday but I'm going to do a few short's tomorrow. Thanks for your comment 😊
That sub didnt rven break a sweat with all that power. Nice sub for sure
I'm going to do some more tests, and I'm sure I can push it a little more. I'm going to do some shorts too. I was very impressed 👍. Thank you as always for your comment 😊
Where is the video on the car comparing them please 🙏🏽
It's in my videos, I did do it. It's not a short, it's a full video. 20-40 minutes long. Check it out. Thanks for your comment 😊
@@SubzPawz witch one u like better??
I have a pair of these and I been running them for about 6 months and pushing around 1800 watts and It has been very impressive.
Nice. Sound's like your happy with your purchase. They're very nice sub's and for the price some of the stiffest competition out there. Thanks for your comment 😊
I hope u give the trinity audio M series a shot!!! That basket has been used by many many subs...RE audio has also used it..I have even used it on my 18" I built..Most common basket I've ever seen used honestly..I have this same basket with a JL W7 motor and 3.5 JL coil..I used a skar EVL-18 basket used a carbon fiber cone on a mega roll and a carbon fiber dust cap..Spider I used has woven tensel leads
I actually have been looking at the sub's since day one. Watching the company grow. I'm hoping I get to be a part of them growing. I just bought a Trinity sub, I should have a video soon and more to follow. Thanks for your comment and support 🙂
@SubzPawz nice!!! I love my M series 18" there great subs!!
I was just looking at these new RI audio 15 this morning.
If you're in the market for a good budget 15 or a couple under $200 each, they're really good choices. Thanks for your comment 😊
These are nice, I have the 8's, 10's and 12's as well as 2 of these. The 52mm of xmax is actually BOTH ways and not one way linear xmax. Fs is different as well as many other ts parameters on these and other subwoofers, because the d2 coil outer diameter is a tad smaller than d1 coils and d1 coils have a tad more mass as they have a larger outer diameter on the coil wire These are fairly impressive at $200 or so each.
I think I'm going to get the 8's and test them, as they're the only one's left.
Just ordered myself one of these last night. Would like to see it on the 8's myself as I came close to ordering some of them recently as well.
@@derekjohnson6968 I've been looking at the 8's since they released. That's all they have left ATM. And the new 15's. Thank you for your comment 😊
Nice for a different option 👍
It's really nice. For $200 even better. Nice clean sound. I have it in my van now, it's incredible. Thanks for your comment 😊
Beautiful sub
Thanks. I like it myself. Definitely one of my favorite budget 15 Inch Sub's. Thanks for your comment 😊
Im gonna buy this sub would my enclosure work 3.25 cf at 32hz
Yeah it would be perfect and sound incredible. You will be very happy with your new sub. Thanks for your question and comment 😊
Should get the audiopipe bdc4 15 and compare it to the other 15s you have. Would love to see how it is compared to something a little cheaper.
I do have videos of the bcd4 12. Several actually. I'm not sure how the prices are but I paid about $160 for the 4 stack 12. I think the 15 was under $200 then. I can show the 15's I have and do a video on them. I'm wanting to get a Sundown X-15, and another company I've been looking at for another 15. I'll put together something. Thank you for your comment 😊
@@SubzPawz I gotcha. I see you’re getting more 15 subs which is why I asked. And I know the 15 is more power rating on it then the 12. Plus I was sticking to certain price ranges. That x 15 is up there .
That basket is called a 12 spoke it comes in 10 12 15 18 inch models used by prolly 100 different sub models
I did mention that in the video. When I brought out the HYanka 15 next to it. But thank you for the comment 😊
These baskets are available in 8" as well
I think I've seen them just not bought any that used them yet.@@Chuck_Sanders
Have you seen the ri 12” that looks like the hyanka cone ?
I've seen them yes. I couldn't buy one before they were sold out. Now all they have left are 8's which I might just take a chance on and grab one or two to test.
@@SubzPawz they look banging for sure!
I got the new wlldse coming Tuesday maybe I get my car cleaned up and I can give a walk around on the build and show the woofer since no one seems to have any video showing it 🤷🏼♂️
I got 4 12s in a custom quad box they have a lot of motor force and pressure I love them it's a shame they don't do the 12s or 10s anymore very good price and product
The energy series you have? I should have bought one when I first saw them. They were right around $100 each. Now the only ones left are the 8 inch sub. I still might get one and put it up against a Skar Audio ZVX-8. Maybe they'll become available again because I'd really like to demo one. Thank you for your comment 😊
Yes energy series I payed 426 for 4 of them heck of a deal on priced right sales eBay
@@michaelvita8 yeah. I think I am going to get an 8 inch. I wish I got a 12 while they were available. Maybe they'll be back.
They are both 1000 rms but the RI looks doble the Thickness have to perform better got more surround and the Motor is doble from the Hayanka im better curious how difference on the performance
Yeah, check out the video for sure 😁. I enjoyed making it. They're both nice Sub's but one definitely out performed the other. Thanks again for your comment 😊
50 mm is 2 inches xmax 1 inch each way most likely.
Yeah. I think you're right. I'd love to set up a measurement background and set the camera up to see them. Maybe I'll look into that and see what I can do. See the great ideas I get from comments. Thanks buddy 😁
I said that earlier as well. It's the xmech value. You'll need to know the coil wind height abs the top plate thickness, to know the xmax and so forth. I picked up 2 of these the day after the release, put em in 6.4 cubes on a SMART 3k and they move. Local guy bought them Saturday and he loves them, on a Skar 3500 skv2
Rl 15 or audiopipe bdc3 15?
That's a tough one. I think honestly I'd go with the RI Audio. It looks like a beast sitting in your car. Sound is fantastic and takes good power. Let me know what you decide. Thanks for your question and comment 😊
@SubzPawz I've already decided to go RI audio. The bdc3 is only 130 on amazon rn but I really don't like the look of it. Only thing I don't like about the RI audio is the claimed 85 db when the bdc3 has much higher claimed db. In Parker the bass head videos he metered the bdc2 12 and the evl 12 and the evl had higher burp readings by one or 2 db. You should get your hands on the bdc3 bc the price rn to review them.
@@Jaydogg209 I've looked at them before. I ended up going with the bcd4 12. I'm looking at the newer version out now. They have the new bcdIV and Cinco 5 stack. I had an EVL 12, I didn't like it at all.
@SubzPawz I saw the new version. 5 stack audiopipe is wild power capability. The bdc3 sensitivity is higher than the bdc4 if I remember correctly. I wonder how that actually translates vs. raw power to the sub on something like the RI. Audiopipe db specs could be incorrect. The evl has lower db, but plays just as lound on 40hz burp. Have you thought of doing burps on any of your subs?
2 cubic foot box tuned to around 33 htz is a perfect setup
You think 2 cubic feet would be good for this sub? Not a little small or did you mean 4 cubic feet?
3.25 cubes is optimal... and I wouldn't go above that, as you will then need to ramp down on its power handling if tuned below 34hz
I have 1 box about 3.25 CF, another about 4.25 CF, and another about 4 CF, all ported. I'm going to try them all and see how they each do.@@Chuck_Sanders
When X Max is Listed, with no other description, it is the Mfg. trying to awe the customer. It is the Total= both ways= peak to peak= 100%= not Linear. So 52mm Total= @ 100% peak to peak= 26mm, @ 100% one way, which could mean [ 17.5mm of one way( Linear X Max= @ 70% BL) ]?
I'm just reading the paper and getting everyone excited for the demo. I have never given a bad review for anything, even if I was clearly disappointed in the product. I stay positive and find the good things I can about said product. Thanks for your comment 😊
@@SubzPawzMy answer wasnt a personal attack on you, or to say you gave a bad review. I just gave more information, to help explain this Mfg., choice of vague, and poss. misleading specs., again not anything to do with you.
What are you running for the tests? Like amp/power supply.
I have videos on that. I don't give all my secrets but the general idea. Amps I put in the title of each video. Power supply is a Stetsom infinite. 0 gauge wire all around. 250 amp fuse block. 100 AH battery. Thanks for your comment 😊
Pretty sure the RE XXX is still the king of xmax
That's still one that I need to check out myself still haven't tested that one. I do check periodically to see if I can get one or two to test. Eventually I'll get something that's Worthy of testing thanks for your comment I appreciate your support.
where did you buy it off from?
Someone else just asked me a similar ❓ I'm going to start putting the links under my videos and when I have time go back and do it to my older videos. But thank you for the 💡 for me to improve yet again. Thank you for your comment 😊
Not much impedance rise with this sub in that box nice set up there
I noticed that too. Right around 1 ohm most of the time.
These are essentially a clone of the evl with better soft parts
Very close, you're right. The surround is slightly larger also and I think if we put them side and tested them against each other this sub would out number the EVL across the board's. I had an evl12, I've done a test on everything Skar makes. I would like to test the EVL-15 and put the 15's up to the test. Thanks for your comment 😊, possibly an idea for a new sub and video.
@@SubzPawz yeah I know lol it's a clone of the evl exact other than the motor is 4oz heavier... spider packs are better and a mega roll surround lol I'm sponsored by the company their local to me
