"Poor Jesse"?? Most of his deaths were due to him just being completely impatient and complaining that pressing 2 buttons is too much for him mentally..
Remember your ABEs. Always Be Enhancing. Every time you can enhance a dish, you should do so, except the dishes with ingredients because they are a pain to get. But all the raw fish ones, absolutely.
Always enhance dishes and only put like 2 on the menu and set it to auto supply. Any extra on the menu is wasted.. So if you put like 20 up and only sell 5, 15 fish are wasted for no reason.
Here's some helpful hints for Jesse everyone else new to dave the diver: Every time ur in the ocean, try to get as many supplies as possible. Copper, wood, ropes, so you can build better guns. Weapons that cause sleep are actually extremely helpful. The toy hammer is great for collecting jellyfish. Your best option is to collect a lot of the same fish so you have enough to sell. And remember: UPGRADE YOU OXYGEN! Your oxygen is basically your HP. Hope this helps 😁
I hope you keep up with this because I am loving this playthrough. Once you get a few employees, the game is much more manageable. You are making me want to play it again.
I literally just finished watching ep 1 and ep 2 is already posted? Looking forward to more chill DtD with Big JC! (tho hopefully Jesse will familiarize himself more with how the fishing/diving part works so he doesn't die every time 😅)
What's so frustrating is the diving and fishing are very easy.. the game is literally designed to be very calm and relaxing but he somehow turns it into the most frustrating thing ever cause he refuses to read ANYTHING or take just a few seconds to learn..

Has Jesse gotten over his fear of sharks and the ocean a bit? A game where you actively are diving into the ocean and encountering (and being killed by) sharks and such and he seems much more focused on and ired by just the game mechanics of it all. If anything he seems wholly unperturbed by that part, last video even fighting the game to go further and deeper then the game wanted him to go.
I think it could be first person and detailed graphics vs pixel side scroller? Real sea beasts coming straight for your face like Subnautica or Far Cry might more easily trigger that fear response than pixel diver getting eaten. But yeah I do think I remember Jesse saying something about it not being as bad.
@@ormoffat He's done a bit of exposure therapy over the years basically with things like Farcry and Subnautica. His phobia has gotten better but it's still there. Jesse you should prioritize getting that shark because Yoshie makes it so that you can hire employees - you can get other people to help serve food or drink or even a second chef later, it will make the dining gameplay smoother. You should be prioritizing the special dish request quests as well as catching a decent amount of fish overall - preferably not the tiny fish as they usually aren't as good. Also yeah I will have to admit - I've seen other people play this game and die maybe ONCE. This might not be a Jesse game. edit: he got the shark. it was actually a good haul. Good job Jesse.
It's not even really that it's "not a Jesse game" it's just for some reason in the past few like months it seems he's *extremely* impatient with everything he plays. Like you can see it with the first shark fight in this video then the next shark fight.. Time slows to nearly a standstill when you're aiming and he for some reason just rushes to take the shot and misses. Then misses again and again.. then when he runs out of bullets he just tries to like knife the shark down instead of simply going to get bullets or a different weapon.. Even he has said in videos/streams recently that he doesn't have the patience for different things.. then TRY to have patience.. it's no fun for him or the viewers if all he does is rush around 24/7 and fail because of it.
