Ashley, CONGRATS! You're all settled in, and your place looks FAB!! Claire was sitting like a pretty princess at first, but once you started talking about her being on camera she slowly turned her face like "Nope, this isn't my comfort zone." You guys were the perfect way to start my day, with a big cup o' Joe. Love seeing you both!! Have a super weekend, beautiful girls 💗💜💗
does anyone else like Ashs videos right at the start? i just want to squeeze claire lol😘 that face! thank you for always cheering me up with your Planty fun!
Hi Ashley, It was great to see you and your beloved Claire again! Many thanks for this fun plant shopping video. It was good to see the variety of plants that the big box stores had available. Hopefully this trend will continue. Take care and happy growing! 👌🪴🥰

So glad to welcome you to Michigan! I can think of so many unique nurseries for you to check out once you're settled. You are such a ray of sunshine and we are honored to have you💖
I’ve been patiently waiting for this since you posted the short version few days ago!! Your excitement is so contagious, I am a new plant momma and I’m starting with the basics but I just can’t get enough of your shopping videos!! Keep shining ✨
I love Michigan! I’m a truck driver and heading your way in morning from Louisiana! I love you channel too!! I really hope the move will be easy on you and your sweet puppy! She’s adorable
Hi Ashley I just love your channel I haven’t followed you for some time I just lost my husband and during that time I just couldn’t take care of my 🪴 plants and they all died but I am doing better now and my youngest son made me a big area in the side of my house where I can start buying plants again and a space just to relax and do my thing I have over 100 gorgeous pots of all kinds and size so it just happened I was scrolling and you came up and I subscribed again to your channel I actually have binge watched you I am so shocked at all the different kind of plants that are new to me thank you for all the videos I’m headed to Home Depot tomorrow what an awesome deal they are having thank you again your friend from Houston Texas take care and keep doing your thing girl !!!!🧚♀️🧜🏾♀️🧞♀️💀🧌🧛👽☠️👻👹🤯🤖👺🧞♂️🌾🧟😈🐦🔥🐲🐉🎃🔮🌻🪬🌾🍁🔱🍂
Claire is an introvert. I understand. Love you Claire! So much 😍 Your new place looks awesome 👏 can’t wait to see the plant tour :) Thank you for the video!
I live in the Midwest too and after your last video I started going out to the big box stores and found a few wish list plants that had never been available near me before. So far I found Hoya fitchii, Hoya wayetii, Hoya graciis , Polanski chichipe cactus, Philo summer glory, Philo warscewiczii, domino peace lily, strign of turtles, ric rac cactus, and my biggest craziest score of all is the Miranda pitcher plant I found for 29 bucks! The pitchers on that thing were HUGGGE. As big as my arm.
Oh I want all those philodendrons!! Last time you did a Home Depot sale shop my store didn't have but a small rack of sale items. So glad you're finding gems. Love your shopping vids.❤
Wow well its great that where you moved the big box stores always seem to have some impressive stuff! My favorite big box store recent finds were :an 8inch pot of philodendron moonlight and a 10inch pot with 2 candelabra chocolate drop in it, and I'm not usually a succulent person but this was so stunning it's changing my mind 😂.
My exciting find was in one of those flats of tropical assorted plants that all the stores sell. Usually, it's the same cast of characters, except this time there was a rhaphidophora decursiva hidden amongst them. Yay! And then there was a tray of ring of fire around the corner. Wish list plants off the list.
Love your channel and your dog 🤗 so cute 🥰 I lost my chihuahua Lollipop just a year ago and i miss her so much she was 13 almost 14 a month away from her birthday 😭 😢 every time I see your she reminds me of my Lollipop my angel. Thank you for your videos love them. 🐶💚🪴🙏
Ashley last week at Lowes I found a Unicorn IT was A full 6in basket of Hindu rope variegated its frekin beautiful then I found a White Knight in the bottom rack what finds I was so excited the cashier thought I was crazy plant Lady. I am but Ashley will you try to find little places in Ann arbor that has plants that would be Great so this way when I move back I can go there also. I hope you and your Husband will be WolverineS❤❤😊😊 GO BLUE
Welcome to Michigan! My dream is to find a Whale Fin in store. Sadly I live an hour from any big box stores. So it ends up being a chore to go plant shopping. My local Walmart isn't as good as yours for some reason XD
My Walmart keeps getting in so many Thais they don't even sell anymore and are dying. They refuse to mark them down too. However they keep them in a different section, usually by the registers in the seasonal department next to plants, so check their next time!!
Please do a Big Box at Menard's! (Comstock Park, MI). I only have cacti, and get my terra cotta pots cheap with an 11% rebate. also get my soil components there. For dressing I get a bag of pea gravel an economical or cheap way of making my cacti look better. Sadly my area seems to be mostly seasonal at Menard's in Indiana.
I'm so glad you're settling in. You and Claire both good. Charlotte Pikes has some great collector plants. Saw my first Costa Trending Diff Crocodile. Allocasia Frydec varying.
Hi Ashley, I found a variegated anthurium birds nest fern at my Lowe’s. It was part of the LiveTrends collection. I also found a variegated money tree. It was also from LiveTrends.
I recently relocated to Phoenix from the Midwest and had to sell/gift all of my plants. The big box stores are fascinating. Costa Farms is not a supplier on the west coast, and what I’m finding is CRAZY. Philodendron Pastazanum ($19), variegated Hoya burtoniae, philodendron mexicanum. A local grower is selling 10” monstera esqueleto for ($19.99-😮). I hope your settling into your new home! ❤️
I am shocked you didn't get those other two plants that you kept looking at but that plant is very pretty and I'm so glad you went to Walmart so I can see what they have
So weird how plant prices have come down. I remember seeing a UA-camr with her new chunk of Gloriosum that she paid $100 for just a few years ago. Supply and demand, baby!
Hi Ashley. Welcome to Michigan. I’m in Lansing area. I didn’t see the store locations listed, I’m heading to GR next week and would love to know which locations. Thank you for sharing.
I’ve need to check out my Lowe’s and Home Depot. Have you ever heard of or purchased plant from Ecuagenra? They have an open house in Apoka Florida late this month I’m going to. Thanks for sharing your videos. A lot colder up there!!!
dang, i've seen variegated mccolleys finale being sold for over 800 online... don't think it's orange marmalade, either way.... congrats on that dope find...
I love Michigan! I’m a truck driver and heading your way in morning from Louisiana! I love you channel too!! I really hope the move will be easy on you and your sweet puppy! She’s adorable I’ve got to go to Home Depot I went to Lowe’s the other day and nothing 😢
I grew up in Muskegon. The Meyer May House in Grand Rapids was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, built in 1908 and turned into a museum in 1987. It was purchased by my paternal grandfather in 1942. I was just thinking about what a small world it is since you now live where a part of my family history took place. 😊
@@catbb1000 I’m glad you found it interesting. The crazy thing is that I never met my grandfather. I moved to California in 1985, so I never got to see the house after it became a museum.
I love the look of this new place. Also, your video is what alerted me to go and check out my own Home Depot. I was able to make a video of me finding Gloriosum and other rare plants. I ended up greeting an Alocasia Longibiloba and later a ficus Tinke
Ashley you found so many wonderful plants. I would have gotten some of the cactus you saw and definitely the Hoyas, wayetti. They were so huge. I love it all. Congratulations on your move. I would love for you to visit me in Fuquay Varina NC, I have over 200 houseplants. Just got a new greenhouse. Going to Big Bloomers soon. Wish you could go. Love your videos
She's giving us serious 😒 probably because like most of our 4 legged family members, the camera, phone, tablet or computer means less attention for them.😂🥰😇
I’m a new plant parent. I have so many questions! Chunky soil recipe Do you automatically repot the plants you buy? And the plants in water at Home Depot, do they do well in the water?
The mccolleys finale has orange leaves when they come out and then they turn green. I have a baby one 😊 and i would have gotten that beautiful white dieffenbachia
This was funny to see. We went to both boxes today in Springfield, Mass, and the selection of plants was pitiful. Almost half were mostly dead in both stores. Oh well. Happy for the folks in more glamorous environs.
Walmart is horrible at taking care of their plants, the only time they look decent is when the shipment first comes in, other than that the plants are neglected and look half dead.
Congratulations on your move; I figured that might be in your near future. You have been filming in Michigan so often. Get your self a warm winter coat; Grand Rapids has brutal winters.
I'm in Bay City. On Monday I visited my HD. They had that billietiae in the spheres and they were rotting! They were so far gone I didn't bother seeking a discount.
Ooh! I ned some trailing plants to serve as kitchen window curtains. Which stores were they? I am in metro GR and love that you have moved here! LMK if you ever want to meet up
I wish you’d go to small plant shops more often. These big box stores are making it much harder for them to survive. Getting a deal shouldn’t always be the criteria when buying plants
What are your thoughts on the Shingle Plant? I've never seen it before, but a bunch were just delivered to Lowes and Home Depot. BTW, my Lowes and Home Depot only have 1/10th of the variety that you show in your videos, and of that half of them are dead or dying.
@@LifewithAshleyAnita All the images I've seen show a single vine. Can it be pruned to encourage it to 'fork' (spread out into more than a single vine)?

All of my local Lowe’s and Home Depot’s have a problem with spider mites.
Maybe I’m spoiled, but those prices seem fairly average from a nursery? I think the big box stores are trying to grift us as market prices drop.
