I thought the info on this video was spot on! Many people come to me interested in data science without knowing that data engineering (or ml engineer or data analyst) exist. Education people on the differences can help entering the field be more approachable!
this was SUPER helpful, really needed a concise clarification between the two roles! I've needed to be away from your videos for the past couple months, but going to get caught up this week, might message you, ty much for these helpful and timely and always to-the-point resources!
Absolutely great & informative video! I have both data engineers and data scientists in my team, along with NLP/ML engineers, and I can so relate to this topic. Many people (and employers, which is unexcusable) mix those two roles up. You're putting it up so simple, Jen, - thanks for this one. P.S. There is a white noise though in your video... I use Vegas Pro for audio restoration ;) I've got to deal with it often too.
Hi , Jen I have been watching your videos more than 6 months now and learn a lot about Data analyst / Data scientist ... I ‘m a Electrical Engineer and working for 2 years but i want to change my field and want to be a Data scientist . I had lear Python and currently learning SQL. I want to do masters in Data science. So what your advice for me to do before Pursuing masters. How hard it will be for me?
I find that pretty much all roles in the data science arena can be done from home. With the switch to cloud compute and mature data systems this is becoming easier day by day.
@@JTProductions3 i didnt mean working at Google, i searched at Google for average salary but like you said it was Aus dollars so its like 70k American dollars. But still it is not that bad
@@mustafaerdem140 ill let you know if i get a job in the field after my graduate certificate. But im probably not going to be earning 100k as ill most likely be getting an entry level job
Thanks for watching!

Very helpful one .... Keep going
Which roles can be done remotely and have more opportunities to work from home due to the nature of the work?

Crazy how data scientists earn so much in the US. Meanwhile in Australia...
How much do they get in Australia? As i see at Google they earn 100k average and its better than UK and Germany
@@mustafaerdem140 maybe 100k when working at Google but it's Australian Dollars which is more like $72000 USD
