The Fern Creek & Western's Swan Song Trilogy Part 1:
The FC&W didn't start off as an ops-based layout. It was only through a ton of hard work and desire to develop a good operating scheme that it eventually became one. It had a total of three op sessions. The first was a test op session for which many seasoned operators were invited so they could provide feedback that could improve what was in place at the time.
The second op session happened during the 2023 National Garden Railway Convention for attendees who were interested in ops. This was really the first "official" non-test session, and it incorporated many of the improvements suggested in the test session.
This video documents the third and final op session, held on October 6, 2023.

If its the last ever operation session what is happening to the railroad. Its a beautiful layout
The owner of the property died last June. The railroad has since been completely removed, and the property is being sold.

Why is this the final session
The person who owned the property that the railroad was built on died in June of 2023 after a hard fought battle with cancer.
