Imo, the simulcast is the biggest win in this. I know Max is no Netflix but presence on a streamer is a big f'n deal.
The PWG idea for ROH is 100% correct! Really wish he would do that.
I can't wait to never have to open the spectrum app again.
How much more do you think Tony needs to get from WBD to give them the PPVs for free?
Bring Back AEW DARK!
I agree about ROH. I was hoping ROH would get like a TruTV deal, and start doing seperate shows and touring on their own. It needs to be like a developmental promotion for AEW.
They should offer Bryan booker of ROH and have the venue room in Tacoma every week
I've made that argument about WWE's popularity about the ease of access to the PLE's for a couple of years. Those PPVs better be very discounted.
Yeah but AEW put more effort in their PPVs. Some of us are adults and can afford a ppv once in awhile lol.
That's not the point. Far more people watch the PLEs now that they are included. They would lose at minimum half the watching audience if there was even a $5 charge per event. People who don't watch the events lose interest. They, in turn, don't watch the weekly shows because they are not getting the payoffs. @Nick-7
The reason why I have MAX streaming is so I can watch AEW Pay per Views I wonder what the price of the Pay per Views will be every month.
I hope its at least half of what they are now
@ Frank Dudley I agree with you and I'm a fan of both WWE and AEW but I can't afford AEW Pay per Views 50 dollars is a little pricey I don't mind paying 25 or 30 dollars every month for a pay per View.
@@AdamWells-e4g There are other ways to watch it, because I definitely can't afford it, either. But AEW PPVs are the best PPVs in the business.
I have MAX too, we shouldn't have to pay for the ppvs. If peacock can make them free so can Max, but it's a money grab
“Congratulations to the brand new television deal we just signed, we made a lot of ‘experts’ look like real idiots” - Chris Jericho
I can't express in words how RELIEVED I was when the news OFFICIALLY came out That "AEW is SAFE" for atleast another 4 years.. that means 4 YRS another of BAANGER MATCHES Awesome wrestling storylines dream matches !!
Dark might return? I’m lowkey excited for that many fond memories
What was the clickbait? It's about the AEW deal that has recently been announced. It's the opposite of clickbait
I Love AEW and WWE I Just want more meaningful stories on ROH and stuff like that i want to see my Favorite stars from both Companies
Congratulations to Tony & Shahid Khan on their reported new deal with Warner Brothers Discovery (WBD)! All Elite Wrestling (AEW) receiving a new 3 year guaranteed deal, with a 1 year option, at an estimated $170 million dollars, per year.
Reportedly, with this new deal, twice a week, AEW will air on WBD networks TBS TNT, and TruTV. With TruTV, the network's goal is to make it more sport orientated. Tony Khan pitched addtional packages to other broadcast networks, such as Fox to have AEW and Ring of Honor (ROH) possibly on FS1 and/or the Tubi streaming platform. This new deal with WBD is outside of Tony Khan's new MAX streaming deal to have the AEW and ROH taped library on MAX, as well as live AEW and ROH PPV events.
Tony and Shahid Khan's AEW, along with Tony Khan's ROH (under the AEW umbrella) has cemented their Pro Wrestling promotion as the #2 promotion, and without question surpassed Anthem Sports and Entertainment's *Total Nonstop Action [TNA] Wrestling* , who is now light-years behind AEW as the #3 Pro Wrestling promotion. Billy Corgan's *National Wrestling Alliance (NWA)* is at a close #4, while Court Bauer's *Major League Wrestling (MLW)* and the recently merged promotions *Progress Wrestling and DEFY Wrestling* are both tied at #5, not that far away from the NWA.
Outside the WWE+AEW(including ROH) bubble, a partnership between [1] National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) owner *Billy Corgan* , [2] Major League Wrestling (MLW) owner *Court Bauer* , [3] Maple Leaf 🍁 Pro (MLP)Wrestling owner, promoter under the Pro Wrestling Alliance and former TNA Wrestling President *Scott D'Amore* , [4] United Wrestling Network (UWN) Professional Wrestling Governing Authority and MLW Head of Production *Dave Marquez* and [5] Progress Wrestling+DEFY Wrestling owners *Lee McAteer, Martyn Best, Matt Farmer and Jim Perry* should be done to create a 24/7 Pro Wrestling streaming platform.
This 24/7 Pro Wrestling streaming platform would showcase live events, PPV events and archived episodes of the *National Wrestling Alliance* (NWA Powerrr, NWA Exodus Pro MidWest, NWA JCP Southeast, NWA Chicago & NWA Kross Fire),
*Major League Wrestling* , *Pro Wrestling Alliance* (MLP Wrestling, Oceania Pro Wrestling & Qatar Pro Wrestling), the *United Wrestling Network* (Championship Wrestling, Memphis Wrestling & Derby City Wrestling), and *Progress Wrestling+DEFY Wrestling* .
ngl, I'd put MLW above the NWA currently. The NWA lost their CW deal and are currently putting their weekly show on Twitter. I'd also put Deadlock Pro (DPW) above both as number 4 if I'm honest as well.
Western Pro Wrestling promotions rankings:
1) WWE
2) AEW
3) TNA
4) MLW
5) DPW
6) NWA
7) Progress/ Defy
8) UWN (United Wrestling Network)
@@immersion726 the National Wrestling Alliance has an edge over Major League Wrestling based on the lineage of the NWA.
@@Mr.Majestic77 the NWA does not have that 20 million settlement that MLW got from the WWE.
Bro how long did that take to type?

No wait I thought AEW was dead
them getting money does not mean the product is not dead still empty arena's low ratings
@@kaysaiah3000 they just got given $185 mil and you still think they're dead. You're either clinically insane or you're that terminally online.
Damn, the bundle with Disney and Hulu is cheaper than just Max by itself. Might just keep Triller.
O_o ads free bundle is 30 dollars with disney and hulu and with just max is 17 dollars. it definitely worth it but in no way cheapter than just hbo max
Pretty big letdown that they're holding onto ppvs.
PPVs on Max for a discount though and not as part of package is a let down I bet.
AEW is finally profitable? Even after the hundreds of millions lost over the years?
They are not profitable because they don't _generate_ profit, nor is it the purpose. If you have billions of dollars at your disposal it doesn't have to be profitable. WCW had never turned a profit the entire time Ted Turner owned it until the mid 1990s.
WBD lost the NBA after this season, so they needed something to fill that void. Pro wrestling is a thing and there really was no other alternative but to resign with AEW. The company itself may not be profitable, but it is still a product WBD can use to market it's own brand.
they are not profitable but they made some good money
Aew has been profitable since they signed their first extension with wb.
I'm glad the deal is finally done and i hope it goes well for AEW. I'll never use that app and really recommend against it because it's code is crap.
Lol its code is crap ? Okay buddy.
I'm sorry but... what??
Your statement is a true example of I am a liar but now I'm telling the truth in an actual sentence.
By being digital WBD will know that exact viewership numbers for AEW shows, which could be bad for AEW in the future if they see a dramatic decline in viewership.
Do you find the worst way to spin any good news or just wrestling? Lol
Way to be a pessimistic loser when they literally just got the best news. Learn some basic positive thinking you loser concern troll
This is such a bad faith lie. Yeah some company that has all that information already including views after 3 days, 5 days and 7 days doesn't know that already when they make a deal like this. They don't report that number, and AEW is a private company but they know what it is. They offered that deal based on that fact.
Whether the deal is 'good' or 'great' depends entirely on perspective. If you look at it in a vacuum, it is a solid deal. They are getting an increase and should get more eyes on their product. Sapp's comment that they are going to be wildly profitable is very unlikely considering their noted expenditure currently, though. Their current deal only just makes them profitable on paper. If you look at it in comparison to the WWE, they are obviously and understandly miles below. The smackdown deal is worth 1.4 billion, and the Raw Deal is worth 5 billion over 10 (NXT is at 125 million over 5). So... in total, WWE's deals dwarf what AEW is getting. So it depends on how people view AEW and how AEW view themselves.
No need for the comparisons all the time WWE is a bigger equity with more years in this business
Aew has done great in comparison
I don't even understand the purpose of your point. If someone makes 5 dollars and someone else makes 5000 dollars, who cares if someone else made 5000 dollars they still made money. A new company that makes profit has value. That is rare and with a predatory company like WWE using both under and overhanded tactics it isn't that easy to do and without Tony's deep pockets maybe there was no way any other type of new company would have ever had the chance.
Holy mental gymnastics.

I don't watch AEW because the price of the PPVs aren't worth it so I don't watch the weekly show because i won't see the pay off. If their PPVs would've just been on max I would've started watching the weekly show. Oh well 😂
The ppvs are on max
You got to pay for it
I think they will be ok. I don't order most of their ppv's but I don't mind just watching highlights and listening to the post shows of them to keep up. But I get not wanting to do it that way
I call bs on everything you said. Can easily pirate anything and can use a VPN to get 20 buck ppvs. If you can't fork 20 bucks I think you might just be a broke nerd.
im not paying for max and then paying for hella expensive ppv
