I watch your videos all the time. I think you are my favorite. Your topics are good and videos relatively short and to the point. I would like to ask you or Cousin Russ to do a video on Family Tree Maker Book Creator. I believe it is 49.99, but I am not sure about it. It appears to be another company that checks your version of Family Tree Maker and decides if it will work with your program. Also, there seems to be a trial period. Just a thought. Thanks again, Mary Lou
Thank you! I needed some new suggestions. Revwarapps is a good one to search for Revolutionary War Pension Statements. LVA- Library of Virginia has tons if you have ancestors that were in Virginia.
The article was not dated... but if you want the link you can get it in the free download on my website blog post here. genealogytv.org/2020/02/08/over-30-free-genealogy-websites/
Some Native American research they can check the Dawes Rolls for the Five Civilized Tribes, which were the Creek, Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw and Seminoles. This is helpful for these tribes. But since a lot of Native American tribes were sent to Oklahoma, Always good to check the Indian Territory Census records.
@Mike Luna - I think you were looking for a resource for Native American research.... I just discovered that NGS is holding a workshop at the May conference. conference.ngsgenealogy.org/ngs-2020-native-american-workshop/

I am currently looking for a good way to allow my family access to the family tree to be allowed to enter their information! is this something that I could use???

@@rsshemi Synchronizing collaboration is somewhat difficult unless you're on a shared tree. That said, you can have relatives use familysearch to collaboratively work on an open tree. Rootsmagic has a free version, but it's somewhat limited over the VERY reasonably priced version, which allows you to sync with Ancestry, FamilySearch and other sites. (They are about to come out with version 8). But a free version exists of version 7 on their web site.
Great suggestions. You gave me a lot of new ideas. The World Gen recommendation resulted in many areas to search. Here is an Irish site that I find helpful: www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/. It offers birth, death, and marriage records. Since there are so many duplicate given and surnames, one must know or at least have a lead which county (-ties) to research. Thanks again. You make excellent videos.
I have been a genealogist for many years but am thankful for the updated info. Started on Montana now in Iowa.
First time and love this so much. I have always been interested in my family history. Thank you.
Welcome to the Genealogy Family. It's the best hobby!
Hi from Australia... just love your videos!

Do you think doing pedigree charts are worth the time?
Only on software or online platforms. For example, building a tree on Ancestry is a pedigree chart.
Five civilized native American tribes

@@jum5238 thanks so very much, I will definitely look at these options.
Can’t work out how to put a message on live. Hat
Can’t now that we’re not live anymore. Just in the comment sections under the video like you did here.
Sorry I thought I was watching live. Thanks for all your videos
Hi
Hi
Great suggestions. You gave me a lot of new ideas. The World Gen recommendation resulted in many areas to search. Here is an Irish site that I find helpful: www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/. It offers birth, death, and marriage records. Since there are so many duplicate given and surnames, one must know or at least have a lead which county (-ties) to research. Thanks again. Thanks for sharing. I approved your comment so everyone can pick it up... and thanks for the compliments.
First 10 minutes is a waste of time. I hope the remainder is better.
Fair enough... In the beginning we get the business out of the way early in the live shows, because it takes time for people to join the live chat.
