I will get a lot of use out of the 1931 Canadian census since I had a grandmother from Canada before she immigrated to the United States. In fact I already found my great grandparents searching by name on Ancestry.
Do you have any advice on how to communicate to MyHeritage issues/inconsistencies they have between tools available on the app, the desktop site, and the mobile site that make using their platform simply frustrating?
I struggle with Find a Grave. There is no citation option. Let's do it right and educate people. How do know if the updates are correct or what people have is documented correct.
The invite feature has been on ancestry for many years. The viewers tab seems interesting, shame it’s only for 7 days. If people don’t want viewers they should make the tree private.
Yes, the invite feature has been there for a long time; Ancestry is making that part more obvious to use and clearer about the roles. Regarding the Viewers feature - turning that feature off in your settings doesn’t prevent people from viewing your tree. It keeps you from being identified when you view someone else’s tree.
My concern with the ‘ask for help’ feature is that it sounds suspiciously like a way to get email addresses and I think I’d be very unhappy with anyone who managed to get my email address added to lists in the netherworlds of the internet.
🔴Ancestry has a feature that could really mess up your family tree. Check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/DlaRhfuMS98/v-deo.html
❤️💕. Luv the mix of new features, saved on youtube to rewatch when in ancestry and find a grave. Well done
Thanks, Amy! Your videos are always so informative and you do an excellent job of describing everything.
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoy the videos!
Found one of my families in the 1931 Canadian Census. It was already index.
The index went live just a couple of hours after I finished the livestream! 😂

It would be nice if the email respondent could have a comment box - if they didn't remember exact dates but had a memory to share

I was able to turn off the viewers.
