- UA-cam Kids was launched in 2015. Even With its high standards of having “kid friendly” content, there have been numerous times where the standards weren’t met. Some of these cases include disturbing fetish accounts, nsfw gaming communities, and animal abuse accounts garnered towards kids…
In this video, we’ll be looking at these communities…

only ogs remember watching og monster school 😪🙌
Jesus Christ! It’s always the same song! The same tune! Same wording! Same intent! Even the same emojis sometimes! I’m an OG fan of monster school aswell, but comments like these are seriously becoming oh so tiring
word for word
Fact
Fact
I remember those videos.
Back when things were much simpler:
No Elsagate,
No pregnant UA-camrs,
Nothing but Herobrine teaching some of the mobs how to do their jobs.
I feel like the sexual content IS made for children. And that’s what worries me the most
It’s why you don’t give kids access to an iPhone as soon as they come out of the womb
I dont know why they tried to do that. Its just messed up to ruin entertainment
This is why you don't give children internet access. If you're a parent, aunt, uncle, grandparent, older sibling and you catch your younger, hell, even sometimes older sibling watching this trash, take away their device. Tell an adult
A bit
Cartoons did have themback then
I miss the old monster school. It used to be nice, cute, and simple. I can’t believe they destroyed it so badly.
Fr I remember watching a live action one with the mobs being cgi and they would teach them to make potions or play sports and there was no weird shit that is now on UA-cam
Yeah i loved watching platabush and babyzzz. Great monster school channels
frr. i remember watching one video where the mobs where being taught how to play sports :((
ongg wtf happened since I was gone 💀☠
Platabush was my best childhood, now i cannot see it the same thanks to the elsagate
Seeing grown adults simp and fancraze towards bluey is sickening
Especially since it’s probably one of the most innocent shows on tv but somehow people got to make it a problem…
@@Gubby yeah.
Have you ever been in one of those comment sections? I replied on a YT short and was attacked relentlessly over my criticism of the show and the people who watch it.
Seeing grown adults and teenagers watch bluey is already sickening
@@m.nestor2755Personally I think it's okay if teens or adults want to watch Bluey, just as long as they aren't weird with it. But I'd like to know why it's so sickening if a teen/adult just genuinely enjoys watching Bluey??
Nooooo ewwwww why bluey
My sister discovered "cupcakes" when she was around 6 years old, she was slightly traumatized but now loves MLP horror. I'll never forget how scared I was when my YOUNGER SISTER was watching something that scared the hell out of me.
Lol, memories in the making.
Same
@@monyratoons8085 Yes that's happens to me to and my sister back in somewhee 2014 or 2015 like i was 7 and she was 4 or 5 we also have watch MLP Creepypasta horror videos and We didnt know some videos were Horrified or Violent i should say Today I'm now 16 and she is now 13 And to this day I'm still enjoy watching mlp and a fellow brony here hehehe
@@kamarulzamanbinyahaya4637 I know okay just beacause we were kids and now we know like everything now so far these day and the past old years
I mean, my sister is scared of my favorite band...
And then we wonder why kids are so dirty minded...
We do not blame kid we blame creator misleading content to kid
@@runajain5773 Youre right, it isn't the fault of the kid. What I meant is because of the content, kids are more dirty minded.
@@ilovedouma7676 yeh I agree also in 2000s and 2010 there are a lot scary stuff like dark brony story and creepypasta with terrified image like jake the killer but this is worse . I do not why youtube allow this shit when historical bloody documenty they remove but youtube elsagate stuff they do not remove it identify kid tag
Hot take: I don't think the edgy videos are that bad, at least not when there's some artistic intent behind it, even if that's just shock value like with the MLP videos. I grew up getting "traumatized" by videos like Charlie the Unicorn, Salad Fingers, and Don't hug me I'm scared, and now these are some of my favorite creations/creators of all time. I learned very quickly to be careful what I clicked on because I had seen those shock, gore videos before. I was a kid on UA-cam but I knew UA-cam wasn't for kids, it wasn't made for me so I had to be careful. These experiences were just part of being a kid and growing up. Now content farms that prey on kids for views/money, those I hate, and fetish mining is disgusting.
i completely agree. imo there's nothing wrong with making dark/edgy parodies simply for artistic purposes or just a twisted sense of humor, but it crosses a huge line when kids get tricked into watching that shit.
yeah, and they kind of made me a bit "tougher" too where i couldnt be scared of things i saw online so easily, overall i remember it fondly
The thing is that they need warnings on them.
If you’re gonna make shitty gore videos, put adequate warning, instead of a sarcastic and trolly warning.
The saddest part is that these channels get away with it by putting "13+" in their bio, while being appealing to kids, the worst one besides the animal abuse is definitely Kusemek, because he always targets the most popular games and is the most fetishy and graphic as well as getting high view count
yeah, i want his channel gone so bad. hell, i am really close to trying to figure out how to abuse the copyright system to send that dude to the shadow realm.
There's another channel called "Charamtheshadox" that does fairly similar stuff but in the furry fandom. He actually is a confirmed child pred if i remember correctly
@@skipthefox4858always hurts my heart when furrys do this crap. Mainly because it’s my backyard, and generally it brings more hate.
Elsagate has been a red flag to UA-cam ever since it was introduced to the point of everyone talking about how dangerous their content really is.
I still never forgive Elsagate for being responsible for why we are still stuck with COPPA in the first place. The fact Elsagate is still ongoing and doesn't know when to quit is beyond me.
I don't think elsa gate is why we have the children's online privacy protection act...
@@Portaldog Kinda is, think about it. If parents weren't so dumb to glue an ipad to their kids so they wouldn't "bother them", instead of being actually GOOD parents, kids wouldn't be on youtube. Elsagate wouldn't exist, UA-cam kids wouldn't even try to exist.
The amount of little kids on this app is mind boggling.
well coppa is meant to stop sites collecting kids' user data but it cant stop kids from viewing inappropriate content tho . . most young kids just use their parent's accounts anyway so technically the activity still gets collected .
if youtube's method of enforcing coppa bothers its users so much they can just mark their videos as ' not for kids '. it's literally so easy .

@@5cream5 Sure, COPPA prevented UA-cam from collecting the user's data, but the COPPA establishment also affected other content creators, especially for the animators who worked on animated projects and ended up labeled their work as "made for kids", or someone uploaded the clip from a cartoon with the same results.
It's still Elsagates fault for that to happen, but I think irresponsible parents who gave their kids the gadgets should take the blame.
UA-cam: Demonitizes True crime documentations that help educate
Also youtube: does not demonize Full on gore and illegal content
Why is this so true 😅
Demonization only for content that ad players don't like
Full on gore for horror content or for educational surgical content so long as there is a proper content warning isn't that bad, so long as it's not like that dark web snuff stuff.
What they SHOULD be demonetizing is full on p*rn, animal abuse videos, hate speach, bigotry like homophobia, s*xism, racism, anti semitism, incest, p*dophelic content, etc, and just people promoting dangerous activities to kids....oh and those prank channels that just hurt people.
Though I do think that things like not full on p*rn, but more s*xual based content, and gore should be age restricted instead. Adult content in general should be age restricted. I'm so sick of seeing little kids being part of fandoms for fully non kid friendly, adult shows like Helluva Boss....
Well, thats cause A ads B youtube doesn’t see this shit
also youtube: allows partially censored rule 34
I really hate the fact that despite UA-cam having clear guidelines against animal abuse - you can't actually use animal abuse or animal cruelty as a report reason.
what really sets me off about this is the fact that as soon as something becomes popular
there is at least a dozen people who will make very very bad stuff and throw it towards kids and youtube does little to nothing about it
The werewolf content could been also created by people who probably try to be edgy and cool. Trust me, I had an edgy wolf phase as 11-12 years old. So that would be another explanation.
[as a artist with a lot of internet childhood trauma, regarding transformation/tf] -- when i was a kid, around 8, i remember watching MLP tf fetish stuff, unknowingly- it's been on this site for ages, but as it's sfw yt can't really do much about it just because i wanted to be a pony, but obviously this progressed into me just watching/exposed to sfw porn at a young age
it's usually evident its for fetish reasons if its like.. overly animated/shown. eg: arms growing hair, character in pain, long descriptions blah blah
@@entropyial9078are we living the same life?? I remember this too in mlp and pokemon spaces, i was too young to really understand and now i have a really bad phobia of werewolves and body horror because of it all ♥️ wishing you comfort too
@@entropyial9078 what safe for work porn?? Porn can never be sfw?
Hey Starthefrakk!
Honestly that’s a good point and I didn’t even consider that.
Know that you brought that up I do remember some people I personally know had an “animal” phase were they thought they were other animals lol
I’m hoping this is the case instead of it being some sort of fetish. (Also, Thanks for commenting this :)

thank you for bringing awareness the gross weird fart content towards kids, my friend and i stumbled upon it last year and were very grossed out, but nobody knew about it and they had so many views and by checking the comments were most likley by children. respect dude and youtube, don't demontise this.
@@joshmoreines404 you have not seen enough UA-cam demonetizations
There should've been an adult bronies app for just bronies to put whatever gore and nsfw they want onto there, and leave other platforms safe for children
@@joshmoreines404 UA-cam can literally demonetize something for the most stupid reason
im not sure if it's a weird thing or just "kids like gross stuff"
@divine555 They did do that, mostly through platforms like Reddit and Derpibooru.
But even UA-cam was fine at the time the HD series was uploaded as it was locked behind needing an account to view which you needed to be 13 and older to sign up to.
Obviously kids bypassed that still, but it was much harder to accidentally stumble onto, vs it getting flagged for UA-cam Kids automatically thanks to the algorithm in place
that mlp cupcakes video was a large part of my childhood, and it unfortunately made me desensitized to gore because, as a young kid, seeing it once led me to seek out and find more of it.
i'm always so grateful for videos like yours shining light on this stuff, because the attention brought to this issue will help put a end to it. NSFW shouldn't be promoted to kids.
I watched both cupcakes and smile once and never again, it was just something that really disturbed me
Same. Im sorry.
Nah man how could you read "Character fart sfm" with a straight face, you've got to be given a medal for that
Lol Thank You Zakohat!
Its really sad how people abuse Animals for content
Hey Froggit!
I despise how some people can cause harm to innocent animals and try to profit off it...
I don't understand the whole mindset. It's truly disturbing :/
That is just disgusting.
Oh my god is that froggit from hit indie game under tale
But really in all seriousness it’s sad people hurt animals illegally for content. It’s pretty much encouraging kids to hurt animals too.
that is a content many would call rotten and rusted, cause anything which is rotten and rusted ios bad
Humanity is fricked up
What I hate the most about UA-cam's policies is that you can't even report elsagate related channels or videos!
Yea true, like yt ignores it or something
Sadly it’s probably because it might make UA-cam more popular with millions of views and earn yt more money
@@bogbog1119 They cannot. Because youtube was already exposed with that scheme by investigations by the FTC. Sadly FTC took it in the wrong direction either by ineptitude or their own gains. It is so bizarre how poor Americans are in problem solving. In the end, only youtube was punished instead of the parents, which would've been very necessary. That is where the mistake lies. Now nobody learned from this and history repeats itself in a different shape or form. You DO NOT expose a child of such young age to a platform meant for uploads of DIVERSE content uploaded by ANYBODY. Doing so falls under disregard of duty for care of a child and that constitutes a CPS case.
I swear, youtube is just giving up or somethig
@@Shiiverr. Somebody could not reach Google on telephone to tell them that he is not deceased and to unlock his account.
I vaguely remember seeing the MLP Cupcake video, and it was honestly fairly tame. Most of the kids I knew who watched it knew ahead of time that there was gore in it and were the same kids who would binge watch Happy Tree Friends. If any kids got traumatized by it, it was likely because an older sibling or friend tricked them into watching it, but most kids wanted to show how cool and unfazed they were by it because that was how kids would try to impress each other
Unfortunately, it's often a small portion of the community that gives a negative image to the whole group, as was happening with My Little Pony. However, this also happens with FNAF, Poppy Playtime, Animal Crossing, Pokémon, and many other games/anime.
I noticed that it's usually younger people who do this, while people older than 25 years old are usually not involved in such behavior.
May I add, Non-Kid Friendly things of kid friendly stuff isn’t bad on it’s own, that’s why creepypastas like Abandoned by Disney, Sonic.exe and Buried Alive/Lavender Town Syndrome became popular. Taking something which is usually family-friendly and twisting it to be creepy or unsettling seems to work.
But if it’s directly NSFW or gory without any form of warning, that’s when it goes wrong. If it IS NSFW or gory, it needs some kind of warning or something.
And, no, the so called ‘warning’ I’ve heard of that is featured at the start of ‘Cupcakes’ does not suffice. I’m not a brony, but even I’ve been aware of stuff like this. Luckily, I never saw anything like that when I was younger. The most non-family friendly thing I can remember seeing was SMG4 and Vanoss, who were the goats of UA-cam. Vanoss and co. still are the goats but SMG4 is a bit shakier.
If I were able to make some kind of PSA against these, I would not hold back on what I’d show. The parents need to see what the children see.
I’ve had a concept where it begins all colourful and happy (the whole thing in Claymation) and then one of the characters get slightly hurt or something and is taken to a care place. That’s when it would become more accurate to the content it’s based on (kinda). The main antagonist would be a doctor, who would be a cross between a creep, psychopath and murderer. It would end with a shot of the doctor taking notes on a clipboard, only to pan over and see all the characters lying face down on hospital beds, likely dead and their back entirely impaled with needles.
The message?
“If you did not like what you saw, imagine how a kid would see it.
Monitor what your child watches on the internet, before it’s too late.”
Basically, it would be a more mental, twisted version of that “Buddy Bear meets a friend” PSA,
My problem with modern smg4 is that I actually enjoy the old N64 mario models, instead of 3d mario
Want to make a disturbing PSA? Ask an Aussie to make it. We've made some disturbing PSAs, like that one with teenagers being blown up by landmines for skipping school.
@@Milo_hAt3rnow whos gonna tell them
@@Milo_hAt3r I think smg4 was going to get sued so he changed the models
Bro no one gonna read that
I can’t speak for everyone but when I was a kid I LOVED gorey mlp content. I was so fascinated by horror being made out of such an innocent cartoon and it’s the reason why I’m so into horror as an adult
I never understood why Smile HD was hard for people to watch. It was honestly one of my favorite videos, expertly animated, smooth, and great looking intestines and gore! I loved it!
MisterDavie definitely wasn't trying to click bait kids...it was definitely geared towards adults who knew the source material.
It's also made by fans of the show for other fans, not meant for youtube kids.
The difference between mlp animations and the stuff on youtube kids is that those people on the kids app are making very low quality content for money.
Same, I got into creepypasta not too long after lol. I don't think these videos are made with the intention of traumatizing kids - they were probably made by a young person who was into horror and mlp.
Same for me! I have a lot of affection for the MLP horror, and I still have a fondness for a normal, non-terrifying shows and media to be melded into something dark or grim, regardless of if it's for the sake of edginess or not. It's fascinating to me.
I didn't freak me out all that much either, and I liked watching stuff I felt like I wasn't supposed be watching as a kid lol. Definitely unlocked some memories
I miss when UA-cam wasn't a pacifier for kids. And then the "Put the Toddler with UA-cam videos on to keep the it occupied" parents came and UA-cam became an entertainment source for kids. In the end, UA-cam was ruined. Not only for the Older content creators who were harassed by COPPA but kids too who are being traumatised by these unsupervised contents.
UA-cam Kids needs to be banned. This can't continue to happen...
I don’t think it needs to be banned, just a couple improvements would be good!
@@GubbyI think lowering the 3 strike system to 1 strike for mature content on UA-cam Kids in particular would be a good idea
@@Gubby tf u mean "couple improvements" shits never changed ever.
@@Gubby I agree. Google just needs to do a better job with responding to reports and any videos not for kids being marked as for kids being either relabeled as not for kids or even removed if they are in violation of policy.
Those coloured chicks makes me really sad. If you don’t know those chicks only last a day or two because of how roughly they are treated so it is 100% animal abuse.
It makes me upset imagining how they were probably coloured, i doubt they did it in any humane manner
And it's for some reason it's Chinese culture
Also fun fact: How the chicks get dyed is a bucket of dye is made and often the dye is toxic. The chicks are sloshed around in the dye like mixing cake batter. I assume it almost drowns them.
As someone who raises chickens, chicks are insanely fragile and any little thing like a water dish that is a little too deep, can kill them. They choke and drown easily, so imagine them being dyed with what looks like semi-permanent dye that is made with alcohol just makes me so mad. And the duck videos... don’t even get me started. First of all, there are fish in those tanks that are aggressive toward each other, second there are too many fish for one tank, third fish and ducklings poop A TON! Those ducks and fish definitely got poisoned by their own waste and died after. It’s terrible to see and I wish for this shit to be banned.
@@Niewbie Not really "culture" but more so a scummy thing that happens there. Colored chicks are usually given as prizes when you win at a carnival-style game and they die soon because the people who win them are usually children that don't know a single thing about taking care of them. Even if they are taken care of and manage to grow, kids get rid of them once they do because they're no longer cute little chicks.
Stupid fun fact: the Torchic family in Pokemon is based on this phenomenon
If someone can't tag/label something in the correct way, I will always question their intentions. If it's a fetish, it should be labeled as such, if it's problematic or possibly triggering, it should say so.
I really don't care whatever people want to make (as long as nothing is getting hurt), as long as its labeled in a way that people who DO NOT want to interact with it, or shouldn't, don't. Its the bare basic minimum.
Sometimes i think about tv. And how they have to label and say what age group it is meant for, and the content that could be troubling to watch. Vs youtube where its based on the user and easily exploited, and people break the rules with lil to no punishment.
This exactly. Content is allowed be weird or disturbing to most people, as long as it's not hurting or endangering anyone. But that's under the understanding that it's appropriately tagged/labeled/warned.
I'm most deeply disturbed not by the fact that this fetish or gratuitously violent content exists--the internet will be the internet--but the fact that it's this unlabeled stuff, under a guise of innocence, made to be clickable to kids who don't know any better... that's not the honest presentation you give to people who may want to see your weird thing. It's incredibly irresponsible tagging _at best,_ overt predation at worst.
Good point sandwich! A warning should be implemented, otherwise someone (particularly a child) won’t really know about the dangers of what they’re watching

In regards to fetish mining, as much as I would LOVE to see it taken down from the platform, it's very hard to create specific guidelines for things like that. I work in content moderation for social media, and our guidelines on what we can and can't take down have to be very specific and detailed, not only because the people who are moderating can be biased and put their own spin on the rules, but also because it can result in videos being taken down that are actually just innocent, kid-friendly content. I really hope UA-cam can get all of this figured out soon, but from a standpoint of someone who works in the social media industry, it is very hard to put policies like that into place.
Hey Huniesoft!
I’m glad you commented this because it gives good insight on a topic that’s heavily negotiated about but you do bring a great point!
I agree with you on that it would definitely cause conflict but do you ever think they could ever find a possible solution to fetish mining specifically or is just a problem that won’t get fixed?
@@Gubby I think there’s definitely ways to fix it! I just hope they’re actively working on them. Where I work, we actually have a list of specific fetishes and what we need to see to tag them, and something similar when it comes to content made by or aimed towards kids. It definitely has some holes in it, but if UA-cam did something like that I think it would work great ^^
The sad thing is that people just give their kids an ipad and let them watch anything. I can’t imagine the nightmares that would follow after watching these as a child, or the behavioral issues that could arise. (side note, amazing video as always!!)
On the topic of the animal abuse accounts, I once happened to catch one of my younger siblings watching something like it. It featured various kinda of fish and snake being put together inside a toilet bowl with water. It’s just really unnerving if you think about how those videos are put together and how they can get away with being on the UA-cam undetected.
i almost completely forgot about the transforming werewolf thing. i used to love pokemon, especially the eeveelutions. i then found a series of videos of eeveelutions turning into werewolves and had no idea it was fetish content.
Well I will say that it may not not necessarily always be a fetish. Some may just think it looks cool while others are attracted to it, so it really just depends on the person
I remember I was around 8 or 9 when I saw a video of May (from Pokémon) getting turned into a bulbasaur human hybrid. I thought it was wierd and creepy back then, and when I learned it’s true meaning a couple of years later it felt even weirder.
@@Gubbywell, on one hand, some ends are fetishized while others arent.
Id say its an example of R34 at its worst.
not all werewolf vids are nsfw/fetish content btw!! I cant speak for the vids you watched ofc, but I drew some transformations! I mainly focus on the horror aswell as aggressiveness ^^
but there's alot of transformation nsfw around...
As someone who grew up with MLP, I remember seeing so many MLP creepypastas that I was left traumatized and couldn't watch the show for 1-2 months this video made me re-live those moments and I was shocked, terrified to say so and i-i I hate that stuff like this still exists
I only clicked for the mlp in the thumbnail, ended up watching the whole thing. You're great at making stuff like this entertaining! keep up the good work.
Glad you enjoyed the video fri2k!! :)
I hate how "Kids" channels on YT are even a thing in the first place, it's the main reason why so much BS happens when you upload a video back then and it gets suddenly tagged for children
Trust me, online kids content gets way worse than this. I found a phenomenon that exists mostly on sites like Facebook but can be found on UA-cam. People are reuploading full episodes of kid shows like SpongeBob, Bluey, and Blippi but add gore or other nsfl/nsfw content. For example, a friend once found a childrens Bible song with a video of the brutal aftermath of a Brazilian prison riot in the middle of the video
at the end of the day its the parents who are at fault, you cant really control something like that
Well that’s what they get for watching pirated shows
@cartooncatisthebest imagine thinking brazil is just a country full of crime and bad people, fake christian
imagine demonizing brazil
@osakeleto u cant really always 100% blame the parents most of the time, if those weird kids content was on youtube or youtube kids, then its youtube job to moderate their own website
Fun fact: fnf isn't a kids game, it's just unfortunate that the art style gave the impression (this comment is realevant because of how many fnf video are on youtube kids when there shouldn't be)
This is why parents should monitor what their kids are watching. Growing up, I wasn’t even allowed to download youtube kids, and I’m still not, but thankfully my parents were present when I was online early on in life, so I know what and what not to watch/do.
I was one of the kids who saw the NSFW mlp animations, it was absolutely terrifying. Fortunately it didn't change how I see the show and I still love mlp
Some added context on Mister Davie as someone who was especially active in the MLP scene in the 2010s. It should probably be noted that Mister Davie was pretty open about his works being NSFW adult only material whenever he would post it to forums (I forget the exact forum I found it on, MAYBE Derpibooru?) but not on the YT uploads themselves, I guess. He also claimed to be an actual animator for the show, hence the pretty spot-on animation and seemingly ripped assets. Also the animation "Cupcakes" was based off a pretty viral horror story of the same name, which is how he would present it as.
In terms of disturbing rabbit holes involving the MLP fandom, I think Davey's stuff is relatively "tame". There's arguably worse stuff out there in animations too NSFL for UA-cam, not to mention all the kidnappings and CSA that happens in the fandom (I almost got groomed by two adults as a young fan, it sucked lol).
im sorry you had to go through that
He worked on the show?! You can't blame people cor not knowing that lol. Look at the MLAATR animation by Zone, or his Teen Titans animation. Some people are just good at replicating art styles
@@TheRandomGuyEverestEver And replicating the art style of an animated show is the most terrifying part of Rule 34.

If youtube kids is going to stay around, I think they should manually allow videos instead of just letting anyone show anything to children. At this point, people could probably just upload straight up porn to youtube kids and get away with it.
As a brony myself, I‘m disturbed by stuff like Cupcakes, Sweet Apple Massacre and similar disgusting stuff. I‘m glad tho that your video doesn’t portray all of us as these very weird and sometimes disgusting people
Not all of these are strictly fetish content. Specifically Bluey. There is a fetish for almost everything, so not everything containing a certain fetish, was made for the purpose of fetish content. It is most likely that these were made to be edgy. However this argument does not apply to all videos

I grew up with the MLP gore and NSFW content and now looking back am absolutely stunned that I was watching that unphased. Creepypastas/fan fiction about cupcakes and rainbow factory where extremely popular despite the fanbase being very young. It still boggles my mind

WHO IS WITH ME?
I remember watching cupcakes HD because I was super into the creepypasta the animation was based off of, and creepypasta as a whole. I gotta say it could be traumatizing for alot of kids, but I really enjoyed the animation because of the accuracy and quality of the animation. I also watched other animations like shed MOV, rainbow factory, and awoken. monster school on the other hand, I could not justify. monster school started out as a pretty good series, but then devolved into degenerative fetishes.
Monster school used to be pretty decent, as did a lot of trends that were in that era… damn have things changed, am so glad I grew up with the good ones.

Honestly it’s still like that right now
i will have to say with mlp content, i was first exposed to the gross and disturbing side of the mlp fandom and that set my views and beliefs about bronies very early on for a long time. it was only when a couple months ago my girlfriend wanted to watch my little pony: friendship is magic with me for nostalgia reasons that i finally actually gave the show a try. seperate from the fans and degenerate content surrounding it, and i actually really enjoyed it. the characters are well written, the story is good to follow, it has genuinely good messages for children about what friendships should be. along with the in depth world building it sets up. its a genuinely good show that can be enjoyed by anyone and i see why the brony community is so big and has lasted so long, its a pretty solid show and if you were like me with this pretense that mlp fans are weird or gross, i do recommend just watching the show. isolate it from the rest of what you know on it. its a genuinely enjoyable experience.

I was one of the children who saw MisterDavie's videos, and I gotta say I was pretty... detached from reality at that point so it didn't really bother me. I think the weird my litle pony shit is more… catering towards adults that are in the reddit and 4chan communities and they dont really seem to be intending anything on kids, as for elsagate youtube should just terminate any Spiderman/Elsa channel that is not officially owned by Disney and mcu and same thing with peppa pig and bluey they have official channels so why not ban the rest ?
I have a feeling that the reason why they aren't getting banned, is because the companies probably get some form of monetization from them, this could be a double layered campaign, that not only does fetish mining, but is also a major advertising scheme, like per instance I can definitely understand why UA-cam wouldn't ban them, they just give too much money to ban, as for why there isn't any mass copyright strikes on their channels, I believe it is because it functions like extremely constant advertisements.

The UA-cam fetish videos aren’t a recent problem, they’ve been around for a long time.
Back when I was like 3-5 iirc, I came across a fetish cartoon of a guy drinking an ungodly amount of soda until he explodes, and it scarred me for quite a while, and similar children probably had it for the worse and actually developed a fetish.
That’s one of the few reasons as to why UA-cam needs to crack down on the people you mentioned in this video, because children shouldn’t stumble across fetish content so easily on the site like how I did.

As a degenerate furry the porn brony animations are mainly made for people who are attracted to the characters. Its not that they got into the show only for the porn its that they were already into the show and got attracted to a character they liked then the porn was created to cator to them or they created their own porn.

Hey Dragonscalie! Thanks for clarifying that! I still think it’s absurd that the content is being posted and viewed so regularly

Many cartoon commentary creators (brony and others) were frustrated with their channels being categorized as for kids when they weren't. I think it's unfair to compare them to Elsagate or Blueygate who clearly were targeting kids for views. Cupcakes was intended for the brony community. Implying that they shouldn't exist because they were made for people who liked the show for the "wrong reasons" feels close-minded. A much greater concern is the rampant grooming that occurred due to con and online spaces not giving proper protection to minors when the adult and child mlp communities were mixing

As a brony myself, I can say yes their are SOME bad ones of us.. but not ALL of us. Also, Mister Davie is a BIG part of our community but it was never meant for UA-cam kids. And most of us just like the show and have no “desires”.
It's awful that these people promote animal abuse and expose kids to inappropriate things and sometimes UA-cam doesn't even do anything about it. They need to be in jail for animal abuse and preying on children.
I remember having a sleepover with a friend in elementary school and we loved my little pony and searched for videos on UA-cam to watch and we discovered the weird gore videos on accident. We were like wtf did we just watch
As a child that grew on internet and watching MLP I can confirm that Cupcakes HD and Smile HD didn't traumatized us, we knew from where that came from, everybody in the fandom knew what was those videos made on top of a creepypasta with the same name, people at that time liked to be edgy, and Mister Davey didn't made those videos to clickbait children, he made from a fan to fans, again, we knew what was the video, it came from another internet age where creepypasta and gore flash games was still popular.
But I can't confirm that for the kids nowadays
So bizarre. Thanks for making this video and spreading the word
To be fair, adult content surrounding childrens shows has been a thing for years. And 9 times out of 10, it IS tagged correctly or posted places children do not have access to. UA-cam used to not be used by children as often as it is now, so if the video is really old, its probably safer to assume that it was never originally meant to be seen by children, and youtube itself is the issue for tagging it incorrectly once the labels of for kids and not for kids got introduced. As for the fetish stuff... that has been an issue for years too!! You wouldn’t believe how many fetishes show up in the cartoon Totally Spies!!
And the animal abuse videos are so disheartening. One of my friends watches these too, and I've tried explaining to them that these videos are always abuse, but they just wouldn’t listen.
I remember back when Monster School was more wholesome and straightforward, so I'm glad I only saw the good part of the legacy and left before things went down hill.
I remember the original Monster School animations being really good, or at least, they're absolutely not watered down NSFW content and just genuine animations about Minecraft Mobs

Love how UA-cam will turn a blind eye, and just straight up completely ignore most of the inappropriate content like this.
Yet when some other content creator literally breathes, UA-cam will pull literally any reason out of nowhere to ban, ir strike them
The monster school one seems sad in my opinion, it went from an entertaining show, to a dissapointing one meant for weird bozos
I used to love MisterDavie's content (and I still do). It was the only thing I could handle watching, cause it was goofier than other content of that type.
Yes i actually loved Smile HD
What also sucks it how much it hurts the animation community on youtube/ animation in general. Somehow animation in the west is still seen as poor kids stuff, besides so many examples proofing otherwise. And a lot of great animators are in constant struggle with this cause anything that is animated is automaticly considered children stuff by youtube, even when the channel and thumbnails make it really clear it's not supposed to be for kids. Heck some animators even started to put a warning in front of the animation that this is clearly not for young viewers.
Also as someone who is around the weird fetish side of the internet, I notice that in regards to bluey, fetish artist have way more self control than these Elzagate assholes.
Not any better though
Unfortunately watching and interacting with NSFW mlp artists as a kid ended up messing me up a lot. For a long time I though that adult/child relationships were okay as well as r@pe because of how common it was to see those in mlp comics back then. It also made me misunderstand safety with sex and think gore and violence was a common thing in sex.
There used to be a LOT of NSFW MLP Tumblr ask blogs that people would make comic dubs for, some of the more disturbing ones would be Ask Discorded Whooves, Ask Zerum Whooves, Ask Princess Molestia, Ask Little Miss Rarity, Ask Pinkamina Diane Pie (there were a lot of Pinkamina ask blogs, but one of the more popular ones included a shit ton of r@pe with both adults and children, murder, torture, etc), and so, so many more. There’s actually wikis that go super in depth about these ask blogs if you wanted to make a video that delves deeper into them.

I'm actually glad I got into content that was blatantly adult when I was a child so I didn't end up becoming one of these adults who's nostalgic for kids stuff and ruining it for the kids.
There were multiple attempts by some groups of bronies to ensure those sorts of videos were properly tagged. Most of these weren’t done for money, and weren’t boosted by bots. They were created organically, for other adult fans. Additionally, many videos suddenly became tagged as “For Kids” by *UA-cam’s* algorithm when UA-cam especially animations. Some creators who were being responsible woke up horrified or angry over the changes that basically happened overnight with no way to revert them.
Don’t get me wrong, a fair chunk of the Brony community was still absolutely depraved, especially at its peak, and there’s definitely still groomers around to this day. But often the animators in the early days were pretty good at least being responsible about keeping the worst stuff out of the hands of those who might’ve come across it unwillingly. They knew they were making shock videos, but it was intended for other older fans. This was well-understood in that early era, and communities often had rules against even mentioning certain shock stories like Rainbow Factory or Cupcakes (which Cupcakes HD was an animation of). Everyone in the community knew what they were, and simply avoided them if they didn’t want to see them (with of course the exception of the odd scumbag who would share them with no context and eventually get found out). The etiquette was simply to tell people “this is messed up but if you enjoy that sort of thing here it is.”
Anything post-Elsagate though? Especially after UA-cam Kids became a thing? All bets are off. When people realized they could monetize that sort of thing, and that it was successful, the endless stream of “for kids” videos placed in that category with intent began.
The only true option is to make sure you know what your kids have been watching, and guide them through things. Leaving a child with unlimited access to the internet with no guidance is not great. But I’d argue what UA-cam did when they made their “for kids” specific platform had a greater effect on the boom of Elsagate type videos, especially because it was kicked off by automatic flagging of nearly *all* animation as “for kids,” due to the common misconception that animation is a genre for kids rather than a medium for all types of story, one that animators have been struggling against more and more loudly ever since UA-cam Kids was created and did that to so many animators.
But anyway, my nostalgia for the brony fandom’s peak could be blinding me. A lot of good came out of the bronies, even alongside the worst. But then, the Pokémon fandom has been bigger and just as if not more depraved for longer. Bronies get extra heat because it broke more social norms for adult men to unironically enjoy a show about cartoon horses traditionally aimed at little girls. But take a look in the Pokémon fandom and you will likely find proportionally just as many stories of grooming and scummery. I would know, I was there since I was a preteen in 2006. All that is to say people need to continue having a very important and nuanced discussion about all this, communities need to make sure things are properly tagged (which most creators aiming fandom content at adults are doing responsibly these days), and we as current and future parents who grew up with the internet and know how it can be need to be prepared to answer things for our kids that we might not expect to hear from them (I would know, even before I had internet access or even access to anything people deem as “traumatizing” I’d come up with some wild stuff unprompted).
But anyway I’m just some guy on the internet what do I know
God, I remember when good Bronies would organize those. I specifically remember when they would try to clean up Google Images by reporting all inappropriate images that came up when searching MLP related things.
